I heard about Heyward Manor before it was officially complete. A friend was able to give us contact information and told us that we “just had to check it out.” At that time, when I googled Heyward Manor, I couldn’t find a single thing about it; however, I chose to trust my friend and reach out to the venue because it couldn’t hurt to visit. After making that phone call and speaking with Libby Black the first time, I wanted so badly for this venue to fit my wedding vision. I knew she would be great to work with. I wasn’t really sure what to expect during our visit, but we were welcomed to Heyward Manor with open arms, and it did not take long for us to fall in love with this special place. The venue is simply beautiful, and it had everything I wanted – long farmhouse tables, outdoor and indoor ceremony options, string lights, a lovely landscape, air conditioning, plenty of accessible parking, the most beautiful bridal suite, a unique space for groomsmen, stunning chandeliers, and characteristics that complemented the boho vibe that I love so much. Of all the venues I had visited, this was the one that I could actually envision my wedding taking place at. My family and I also instantly connected with Carol and Libby, and we knew that they would take good care of us. As a Christian, I felt so comfortable working with people of great faith. They live it out and share the love of Christ at every opportunity. My family was especially drawn to that. My husband and I got married at Heyward Manor on June 20, 2020 (yes, in the midst of the pandemic), and, looking back several years later, I still feel so blessed and grateful that God provided such a wonderful place for us to celebrate the best day of our lives. I think back on that day with so much joy as it was truly a dream come true. Heyward Manor was not only the most beautiful venue, but it was so accommodating, especially during such a difficult time. As June got closer and closer that year, I didn’t know what to expect from the venue. Everybody else I knew that was getting married during that time had to change their plans in some way. But Libby reassured me that my wedding would go on as planned. She explained everything they were going to do in relation to Covid precautions, and it made me feel so at ease. My whole family is extremely grateful for Heyward Manor, and everything the team did to help my wedding become a reality. Libby and her husband came out to help us with anything we needed that day, and the Heyward Manor team will always make sure you are seeing your vision come to life. This team was truly wonderful to work with, and I enjoyed getting frequent phone calls from them, keeping me updated throughout the whole process. Our wedding day was absolutely amazing! Everyone loved the venue, and guests still talk about how beautiful it was. I really could go on and on about the things we love about Heyward Manor, but I feel that anyone who steps foot on the grounds will feel the way we felt there – at home. Heyward Manor will always hold such a special place in my heart, and I love taking every opportunity I can to go back and visit.

We are so grateful to all the staff at Carolina Country Weddings that helped make our wedding everything we dreamed of! From the venue tour, to the planning stages, to the day of the wedding, we felt very taken care of and truly invested in. All of the reminder emails and tips were extremely helpful, and Melanie was flawless as a rehearsal director and day-of coordinator. Without her, none of us would have known where to stand, where to go, or what to do with our hands! And she kept us on schedule! The natural beauty of the venue as well as the professionalism of the staff set the tone for a really fun wedding! Our photographers had never been to this venue and they were gushing about the views and said this venue jumped to the top of their list of favorites! CCC did an amazing job with the layout and decor, and our guests were very excited about all the photo opportunities they had around the property.  We got the diamond package, which included a day-of coordinator, rehearsal director, and the ability to use the venue’s decor, which was so helpful in cutting decor costs for us! The venue staff were also so helpful in installing the decor pieces that we provided and the venue looked absolutely incredible. The coordination with our other vendors, email reminders and tips for wedding planning, and quick answers to our endless questions were invaluable. RUN, don’t walk, to book your wedding here!!! I cannot say enough good things about this venue. The place is absolutely stunning. It is a beautiful venue space surrounded by mountain views with the perfect backdrop of grandfather mountain as you say “I do”. Inside the lighting and ceilings were a sight in itself. From day one the staff has been amazing. The Venue Manager, Pam, was easily accessible and prepared to answer any question that I had. She was ready to accommodate whatever I needed and even made the time to let me view my table layout in person because I needed the visual to see if our game-plan could work. The venue coordinator, Gracie, is an absolute doll and just as sweet to work with. I wish I could get married all the time, just so I can visit them at the venue!

We had the most flawless, amazing, magical event with Live Wire. From the day we first inquired to our follow-up emails, the staff at Live Wire was amazing. We hosted a sorority graduation event for 40 families with 200 people gathered for both dining and live music. Even though Live Wire does not provide food, they do allow catering and were super helpful, coordinating with Saucehouse to make dinner fabulous. The space itself is cool, roomy and has both inside and outside areas that worked perfectly for our dining needs and live music. The staff was amazing. They made sure the band and tech were all covered and made the transition from dinner to dancing seamless. Erin and Erika were our contacts and they simply performed without fail. From our first inquiry to our final email, they were amazing. There were no hidden fees or surprise charges, and they have a digital platform for easy payment and communication. I can not say enough about this event space and the Live Wire staff. Thank you for making this night memorable. What a way to send these graduates off!

The owners of Sixty Acres were a breeze to work with. They exceeded my expectations. All of my requests were met, even if I decided to change my mind the day of! Very accommodating. The venue is beautiful, at night the barn and arch way to the water is lit up, a wonderful place for pictures. The owner kept in touch with me throughout the 10 months of planning. Answered all my questions and even gave suggestions. In the incident of rain, she helped my stress and aided me with a backup plan (thankfully we didn't need it!) The facility has everything you may need from, decorations, bridal and groomsman suites, outdoor and indoor seating as well as dance floor. A bar, food warmer & ice machine. I was able to go to the barn when needed to see the venue as well as for bridal photos.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Nantahala Weddings and were so happy we chose them as our venue. Jody and Jess, the venue owners, provided excellent communication throughout the planning process - they responded quickly to all of our questions and requests for information. The mountain backdrop could not have been more perfect for our wedding vision. The outdoor ceremony space was intimate yet spacious, with beautiful landscaping and mountain views that made for incredible photos. For the value, we felt Nantahala Weddings was very reasonably priced compared to other venues we toured, we got the full weekend with no set end time! We highly recommend them for any couple looking for a stunning mountain venue with responsive, friendly owners.

The event space includes a 6,000-square-foot Reception Hall, a 3,000-square-foot Ceremony Space with Grooms Quarters attached, and an 800-square-foot building dedicated as a Bridal Suite. It has two beautifully landscaped garden spaces that can be used for cocktail hour or ceremony spaces. The entire facility has a brick and rod iron privacy fence surrounding the property. The venue includes three historic buildings connected by beautiful cobblestone walkways, lush landscape, landscape lighting as well as cafe lights. The walk from each unique building is just as beautiful as the buildings themselves.

I had the privilege of working with Pam at The Gin on 391. As a wedding planner, the venue could not be more perfect. From the moment we stepped into the indoor chapel, we were captivated by its timeless beauty. The high ceilings with chandeliers, created the perfect ceremony backdrop. The seating arrangement ensured that every guest had a clear view of the ceremony, ensuring that no detail was missed. The acoustics of the ceremony and reception were exceptional, allowing every word of the vows to be heard and the reception. The spacious layout of the reception offered ample room for guests to mingle, dance, and enjoy the festivities. The attention to detail was evident! The convenience of having both indoor spaces not only added to the ease of planning but also maintained a sense of continuity throughout the celebration. Guests were able to move effortlessly from the ceremony to the reception, without any disruptions, allowing for a smooth and uninterrupted experience. The staff (Pam & Bret) at the venue deserve special mention for their exceptional service. From the initial planning stages to the day of the wedding, their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care for our needs were evident. They worked closely with us to understand our vision and executed it flawlessly, ensuring that our wedding day was nothing short of perfect. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this wedding venue enough!

From the original tin ceilings to the handmade tiles, Uptown Indigo is a truly unique wedding venue. The venue can accommodate up to 220 seated guests, with the largest space being the 6,000 square foot Indigo Ballroom. This ballroom is characterized by its modern light fixtures combined with original historic elements. It is fully accessible with a vintage elevator and large, elegant bathrooms. The Steeples Event Space is on the top floor, complete with a prohibition-era, rustic space for cocktail hours or smaller ceremonies. The detailed tile ceilings along with the warm lighting give the space a romantic, yet fun feel. Our wedding at Uptown Indigo was perfect from start to finish. The facility is so much bigger than these photos suggest. My husband and I both feel that the level of service and attention to detail made the value of Uptown Indigo second to none. When we first went in for a tour, Duncan made us cocktails and spent more time with us than any other tour we had. The staff actually cared about us and we didn't just feel like a number. My favorite part was the bridal suite in the morning. They turned the whole top floor into the bridal suite and it felt like a movie when the elevator doors opened and we walked out and placed our dresses on the coat hanger. There was music playing, and mimosas set out. My mom started crying and then I started crying and I knew then that the day would be perfect. I highly recommend the Uptown Indigo venue/family and we am so thankful that we trusted our wedding day to them.

A stone patio adjacent to the barn is where many memories will be made with evening lighting and a built-in bar. A beautiful, wide aisle flows from the cocktail area to the ceremony site. At the end of the aisle, a gorgeous pergola meets you at the pond where you can see and hear the steady stream of the fountain.

This is hands down the best venue in the blue ridge mountains (coming from an Ashe County local couple)!! This venue is so stunning and needs minimal decoration to make it feel elegant and classy but still have a relaxed atmosphere. Paula is filled with so much wedding knowledge and provides a list of recommended vendors, which would be great for those who are not local. Paula is quick to respond to texts and calls and always eased my mind. The bridal suite, groomsman room, and honeymoon suite were so convenient to have right on site. The cabin on the farm was clean, spacious, and has everything your family/friends need. Mark, Paula’s husband, works so hard during the week prior to the wedding to maintain the landscaping and beautiful dahlia garden. I would also highly recommend using Caroline Orcutt as your wedding coordinator (add on service). She is beyond organized and makes sure everything runs smoothly the day of your wedding. She is quick to response to emails, texts, and calls. She also gave us tons of suggestions that would fit in our budget. We could not recommend this venue more and thank the Domske’s and Caroline for all they did for us to make our day so special!!

My husband and I are so happy that we had our wedding reception at Terra Incognita Vineyard. Our wedding day was brisk and windy, so the staff pulled down the pavilion's sidewalls and made a cozy fire to keep our guests comfortable. The landscape at the venue is stunning! There are two beautiful mountain views, and the pavilion overlooks the vineyard. Our photographer had so much to work with, and our photos turned out great! It was a joy to work with Sarah and the entire Terra Incognita team; they were professional, friendly, and always quick to reply to our questions. I've worked with many vendors, and they are one of the best. They had a calm, steady, reassuring presence- it's clear that the staff loves what they do. Their passion shows in their work! I would highly recommend this venue.

Hartsoe Farms was phenominal. They far exceeded my expectations. When we booked our wedding, Kasey Hartsoe showed us a book of decorations to choose from. She helped me customize my tables based off my color choices and she put the flowers and decorations together. During the process after I left, she sent me pictures until I was satisfied with the results. I love that they set up and tear down for the clients! When we took our photos, there were so many locations to choose from. Its so peaceful and beautiful out there on the farm. Since our wedding almost two years ago there have been numerous improvements to the property. The shelter is now closed in with a beautiful gray wood on the exterior and a brown rustic look on the inside. The beautiful fairy lights make you feel transported. They also built a beautiful bridge you can take pictures on or walk over into the woods where there is alsp a bench to take pictures or get away for a private moment to speak as newly weds. I particularly like The Lounge where you can get ready or do touch ups before your event. The "Bridal" suite is elegant with many places to sit and a bar in the bathroom to do your make up. The "Grooms" suite is very manly, and well decorated. They provide wine glasses and whisky glasses for a sophisticated look in photos and for your guests in the bridal/groom lounge. They also added some out door bathrooms so your guests dont have to go all the way into the Lounge. They also do your music for you if you send a playlist. Overall, I can't believe this location is as cheap as it is with the services provided. If i could give 11/10 stars I would!! Thanks Hartsoe Farms for the perfect wedding!

We would do anything in this world to have him here with us still, but we know for sure he has held our hand through this whole journey. What great things ever came from our comfort zone, right?

I cannot recommend The Legacy at Gregory Downs anymore if I tried. This venue has come together so beautifully. The open fields, BIG gorgeous trees, a large pond, the layout of the buildings, it’s picture perfect. Caitlyn had a vision and it has come to life. She thought of every detail, making sure there were plenty of options for brides to choose from. Even thinking about what kind of patio they designed to make sure a brides dress and veil wouldn’t snag on the pavers (if that’s not an amazing venue owner idk what is). If you are looking for a wedding venue this is it! Can’t forget it’s also perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, special events and so much more! Look them up, tour the venue, contact Caitlyn, you will FALL IN LOVE!!!

The Parker Mill wedding venue is a newly-renovated historic sawmill built in the 1930's. This venue has been designed and renovated to specifically cater to essential wedding needs. While it is conveniently located just one mile off of highway 74, the structure is comfortably nestled in a private community in the heart of Western NC Mountains, boasting awe-inspiring views and serene surroundings.

We are SO lucky we found this venue for our wedding! It's been a long time planning - but Alexis was super communicative and responsive for every question in our 20 months of planning. She made all the decisions a breeze and was so detail oriented during our walk through to ensure our vision was received. Our guests were amazed by the venue's beauty and all night we received compliments and "HOW did you find this place?! it's BREATHTAKING"! We just responded with "we know ;)" I will also have to say - having the getting ready suites on site made the whole day even that much more of a breeze. We provided our own food & drink but the Bride's Suite Bathtub is something out of a luxury castle's home. AMAZING photo opportunities! The Groom's suite with pool table, TV, video games & darts was perfect for my partner and his group. Even though there was a wedding there the night before ours - Alexis had everything under control in terms of a rehearsal the morning of our wedding. We all arrived about an hour ahead of official venue access, ran through our rehearsal, and put cars in place to unload when we got to our access time. Her team was top notch - and had all our decor items set up perfectly. I also LOVED that we didn't have to tear down or clean up anything other than what we brought in. I adore Hawkesdene! As a local wedding photographer, I have the honor of visiting Hawkesdene multiple times each year. Every time I go, I am blown away by the service and kindness of the staff. They think of everything, and are willing to help at any second! Truly, they are gems! Beyond that, the place is stunning!! The grounds are beautifully manicured with trees, shrubs, flowers, and more. It's extremely picturesque both around the main house area as well as at the top of the mountain. I could honestly photograph a single couple at Hawkesdene for 3 days and still not visit all of the spots I would like to capture photographs! The cabins and rooms are lovely and have everything one would need. They are also beautiful inside and make for a perfect getting ready areas. Plus, I LOVE how all of the cabins are a very short walk from the center of it all- the wedding ceremony sites and reception area! The food, oh the food. It is downright amazing! From grazing tables to savory meals to desserts, it's all SO GOOD! Every time I am there, I hear guests talking about how much they like the food, too!
