Nantahala Weddings is a destination wedding venue in the mountains of Western NC with exclusive access to lake and mountain view property for multi-day events. Onsite lodging for 18. Beautiful backdrops for photos: lake, river mountains, waterfalls, forest. • No other weddings or any other events will take place on our property for the duration of your stay! • Pets are welcome. • LGBTQ-friendly. • NO MANDATORY END TIME and NO NOISE RESTRICTIONS. • Destination vibes – no passports required. Surrounded by the pristine natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains, our venue is intimate, magical, and elegant with lake and mountain views that will make your guests swoon. • A wedding on Nantahala Lake is ideal for couples who want to unplug from the hustle of urban life to embrace the peace and quiet of the mountains. Red oak farm tables, red mahogany chairs, chandeliers, lots of café string lights, pecan slab serving tables, spalted maple wood slab bar, tree slice cocktail tables, dinner plates, glassware, flatware, beverage dispensers, serving dishes, natural cherry wood chafers, ice buckets, vases, candle holders, signage, dance floor + clear walls and stand up propane heaters (for cool weather).

We specialize in destination weddings for up to 118 guests (max capacity) with 3-, 4-, or 5 day packages, including onsite lodging available for up to 18, MANY more vacation rentals within walking distance, with uninterrupted, exclusive access to our 6.5-acre property for the duration of your stay. Enjoy your ceremony overlooking the smokey mountains and Lake Nantahala, followed by your reception in our majestic Reception Pavilion for up to 118 guest.

Nantahala weddings made our elopement visions come true plus SO much more! The pictures capture the beauty that surrounds the area, but being there in person is truly indescribable. I will never get over how perfect our day was. Meeting Jess was my favorite part of it all, as she is just as kind and loving as she is organized and thorough in her work. I highly recommend booking your wedding through Nantahala Weddings!

Our wedding at Nantahala Weddings was an absolute dream! The venue itself is paradise, with outstanding infrastructure and beautiful mountain views. The staff were available throughout the entire event to ensure everything ran smoothly and even helped arrange transportation up the hillside for us and a guest that needed. Communication leading up to our big day was easy and efficient - they responded quickly and were very understanding of our needs. On the wedding day, they went above and beyond to make sure our vision came to life perfectly. It was clear the competent and caring team truly wants each couple to have the wedding they've always dreamed of. We cannot recommend Nantahala Weddings highly enough for their paradise venue, smooth coordination, and exceptional service! Plus the venue has no time restrictions which is unheard of in the USA.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Nantahala Weddings and were so happy we chose them as our venue. Jody and Jess, the venue owners, provided excellent communication throughout the planning process - they responded quickly to all of our questions and requests for information. The mountain backdrop could not have been more perfect for our wedding vision. The outdoor ceremony space was intimate yet spacious, with beautiful landscaping and mountain views that made for incredible photos. For the value, we felt Nantahala Weddings was very reasonably priced compared to other venues we toured, we got the full weekend with no set end time! We highly recommend them for any couple looking for a stunning mountain venue with responsive, friendly owners.

The Nantahala Weddings team is truly spectacular. They are a dream to work with and generally just wonderful humans. The venue itself cannot be beat - It can accommodate larger weddings and small gatherings beautifully without losing its cozy and romantic feeling. Such a special venue in a truly magical area!

Yes! No charge. We are a BYOB venue. Bar tender is required to serve during the reception (and cocktail hour, if applicable).

Yes. We have parking for 50 cars. Parking is free of charge. No valet parking available.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible and we will have an ADA compliant lodging on-site (this will be completed in January 2025). We also have a ramp for the Bride and Groom's Suite, and we have 4WD transportation to the mountain top ceremony area, "Chapel in the Sky." We have transported a groom in a wheelchair, and numerous other disabled guests!

For full, multi-day weddings, all facilities and everything in them are included in the rental: "Chapel in the Sky," covered chapel, reception pavilion, caterer's kitchen, decorations room, and "Fie Top Suite." We do not charge rental fees on any "things." Services, such as chair set up, are optional, but extra.

We book mostly 3- or 4-day events, but if you book our one-day event, you get the venue from 8AM until 10PMM, or 15 hours. See our pricing and package page on our website for all the details for each package.

The First Payment, which you make to secure your date ($1000) is non-refundable. Please refer to rental agreement or ask one of us for details on this.

Driving time to venue from local airports: - 2 hours from Asheville - 2.5 hours to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Greenville-Spartanburg, Knoxville - 3 hours to Atlanta

Yes - we require event insurance. The cost is about $200 for 80 people and it covers 4 days for the same price as 1 day. There is also an option within this event insurance for extra insurance in the event of a cancelation - this would cover any non-refundable fees for the venue and the vendors. As we say, "we cannot control the weather, but we can provide options to keep you and your guests comfortable in the event of rain!" We have multiple - some are complementary, other will cost because we have to hire multiple people to erect one of our two massive tents.
