From the moment we started working with Emma at Castle Ladyhawke, we were impressed by their quick, efficient, and warm communication style. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with an authentic, charming feeling that made our wedding day feel truly special. The food was fantastic and despite complications it was a beautiful and magical day. While our initial coordinator, Emma, was great to work with over the 8 months leading up to the wedding, we were disappointed to learn upon arrival that she would not be there on the day. Her replacement, Kelsie, arrived late, did not have our updated documents, failed to communicate with the vendors that there was a space for them on the third floor, and seemed to lack the positive energy and personal responsibility we had come to expect. There were also a few small hiccups, like the arch being set up incorrectly initially. But overall, we had a wonderful, memorable day for us and our guests.

Castle Ladyhawke was an incredible venue for our wedding. The staff was quick, efficient, and incredibly friendly throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is spacious, beautiful, and the scenery is just breathtaking. They were very attentive and checked in on the bridal parties, providing lots of support to ensure our special day went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend Castle Ladyhawke to any couple looking for a stunning location for their wedding.

They went above and beyond. The venue is beautiful and the staff is amazing. The day went so smooth and was very stress free for me. Kelsie did an amazing job. I am so grateful for everyone who made our day so amazing. Our guests had so much fun. My flowers were beautiful. The cake and food were amazing. We had the best day and a lot of it was thanks to everyone at Castle Ladyhawke.

Our maximum capacity for a seated banquet is 125 guests, which we can accommodate in different ways both indoors and outdoors. We are happy to discuss the details of your wedding with you.

Please contact us and we will be happy to discuss availability for your event. Since Castle Ladyhawke hosts one wedding per day, dates do book up quickly. Saturdays during peak months can book up more than two years in advance.

We offer complimentary tours of the venue 7 days a week in person or virtually. We just ask that you make an appointment to ensure a member of our team is available to answer all of your questions. Planning a destination wedding and traveling to visit us? Visit our tour page and ask our team about our Wedding Discovery Tour which includes a stay at Bear Lake and two complimentary activities on property.

Bear Lake Reserve is a mountain lake resort with tons of amenities for your guests to enjoy. They are our preferred lodging and you will work with our lodging specialist to create a home block for your guests.

Yes! All of the vendors on our preferred vendors' list have worked at the Castle and alongside the team. If a vendor has not worked at the castle before, we do ask that they provide proof of insurance.

If you would prefer to use an outside caterer, there is a $1,500 (plus tax) Chef Consultation fee that will be applied. This fee will go towards your food and beverage minimum that must still be met.

Yes! We have three different bar packages to choose from. Silver Bar: Includes Beer and Wine Gold Bar: Includes Beer, Wine, and Liquor Platinum Bar: Includes Beer, Wine, Liquor and a champagne toast. If you prefer a dry wedding ask about our mocktail package!

To reserve your date, we just require a signed contract along with a $2,500 non-refundable deposit. This will be applied to your wedding total.

We have a service charge of 22% on Food and Beverage. The State Tax rate in North Carolina is 7%.
