Dear Lititia, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of our venue and the décor setup on your wedding day. It’s always wonderful to know that your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception met your expectations. We seek to provide exceptional service to our couples by exceeding expectations. So naturally, I am saddened to learn that we did not meet yours especially since you sent us a nice thank you email after your wedding. To address your listed concerns: While we assist with packing decor, it is still the responsibility of the wedding party to load the vehicles. Holly packed your decor in the boxes provided and placed them in the bridal suite with the rest of your belongings. The missing leftover appetizers would be an issue to discuss with your caterer. Most caterers toss leftover appetizers due to food safety concerns. Our lost and found procedure is to place items on the front porch to allow for convenient pick up outside of business hours. Prior to our email communication, your decor was safely stored in our office. I had already left the office for an event when you called so I couldn’t bring the boxes back inside until I returned later that evening. I am sorry I wasn’t available to greet you when you came by. I did check to see that the boxes were picked up. I apologize that not all of your missing items were included in the three boxes. If you care to send me a list, I will search for the items and mail them to you if they are found. We regret that there were misunderstandings and/or issues with your pick up of decor left behind. We have heard your concerns and to improve communication and service in the future, couples will now receive written lost and found instructions prior to their wedding day. I apologize that you felt my response was dismissive. That is never my intention. We take pride in offering warm, attentive service at all stages, and I am sorry I didn’t live up to this standard during your phone call. We always want our couples to feel cared for, even after the wedding day has ended, and I regret that this wasn’t reflected in your experience.
