McGuire's Millrace Farm's unforgettable setting will compliment the event of your dreams. Spectacular mountain views surround the historical 110 acre farm where you will find rich southern hospitality, rustic elegance and charm. We are committed to providing an experience that exceeds expectations for comfort, class and superior service. Located near countless lakes, mountain peaks, and lush forests the farmstead is ideal, inside or out. Our staff has specialized in the event planning business since 1999, so you are ensured southern hospitality at its best. At McGuire’s Millrace Farm, you will be treated like family.

The Grounds
A memorable, private space just for you and your special guests!
Located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, this private 110+ acre estate is dripping with six generations of history. Still standing today are The Country Store (dated Pre-Depression) and the Original McGuire Homestead (dated Pre-Civil War). Newer additions include a magical arched foot bridge spanning a tranquil pond, flower gardens, majestic rows of river birch trees, and a handcrafted solid wood arbor, all of which are complimented by the gracefully rising mountains in the background

Included in this room:
Over 2000 feet of ambient stringed lighting, rows of over 200 river birch trees, concrete courtyard area perfect for cocktail hour or dancing the night away! The level parking area is convenient and well-lit for ease and safety. Two outdoor bar stations, a firepit and seating ensures that your guests will be comfortable and entertained!

This luxurious 8,000 square foot timber framed "barn" venue boasts 30’ tongue and groove ceilings, and 30 wrought iron chandeliers, including a 7' wrought iron chandelier with 6" Cartier crystals! Over 2,000 crystals glam up the room which also has polished concrete floors, elegant floor-to-ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace, exquisite 2-piece bar, a certified commercial kitchen and an ambiance that is sure to wow even the pickiest of guests.

This package is perfect for couples who are seeking the service, experience & beauty of a professional venue, but a more intimate reception. You can get dressed, have your ceremony, portraits, cake cutting, toasts, & first dances at the venue, but then have a more intimate, affordable reception at a place of your choosing. We recommend reserving the Millhouse Lodge for your reception, where you can DIY or have food catered by us, & have no time constraints! Plus, who doesn't love llamas?!

McGuire's Millrace Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the team led by Natalie was incredibly easy to communicate with - they were direct in their responses and fast to address any questions or concerns we had. On the day of, Natalie ran a tight ship and the wedding moved along seamlessly. The quality of their work and the value they provided was truly amazing - the venue looked stunning, the service was top-notch, and they took care of every little detail so we could just focus on enjoying our special day.
