Live Wire Athens is an event venue nestled in the northwest corner of downtown Athens, Georgia. The character-filled facility uniquely includes three versatile spaces, indoors and out, plus multiple concert stages. Locally owned and operated by the Robertson Family, this former warehouse has been transformed into a multifaceted locale, perfect for any event that ranges in 20-500 attendees. The storied venue is commonly booked year-round for Weddings, Private Parties, Silent Parties, and Concerts. Robertson Hall is a true gem in downtown Athens.

The great barn doors open from The Parlor to Robertson Hall, revealing walls of vintage brick and barnwood. Here, you will find an open floor plan, a mainstage, and access to our modern-vintage privacy suite. The exposed ceiling, and chandeliers, give Live Wire Athens an ambience of warm modern elegance.

Live Wire is the BEST place in Athens for an event

We had the most flawless, amazing, magical event with Live Wire. From the day we first inquired to our follow-up emails, the staff at Live Wire was amazing. We hosted a sorority graduation event for 40 families with 200 people gathered for both dining and live music. Even though Live Wire does not provide food, they do allow catering and were super helpful, coordinating with Saucehouse to make dinner fabulous. The space itself is cool, roomy and has both inside and outside areas that worked perfectly for our dining needs and live music. The staff was amazing. They made sure the band and tech were all covered and made the transition from dinner to dancing seamless. Erin and Erika were our contacts and they simply performed without fail. From our first inquiry to our final email, they were amazing. There were no hidden fees or surprise charges, and they have a digital platform for easy payment and communication. I can not say enough about this event space and the Live Wire staff. Thank you for making this night memorable. What a way to send these graduates off!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Live Wire! From the very beginning, working with Erin, Erika, and the team was a wonderful experience. They communicated pricing clearly, gave thoughtful advice for us in making decisions, and lent much-needed experience and thoughtfulness to our wedding planning process. The venue itself is so fun and full of personality - the courtyard space outside made our ceremony feel magical, and having the stage is so nice because your guests can actually see you during the ceremony (something we never would have thought of before!)! The indoor reception space is perfect for a party, from the super-cool full bar to the working light booth above the dance floor! We especially loved making our signature cocktails with Algy, and you could really tell the difference of having his team of experienced, talented bartenders manning the bar at our party. Erika and Erin were down to entertain all of our ideas, and give us thoughtful feedback about how to best use the space. Overall, Live Wire is an excellent, family-run business in Athens, and their care and professionalism shows in every part of how they do business. We loved working with them and would recommend to anyone who wants a fun downtown Athens wedding.

Erika and the entire LiveWire staff were incredibly easy to work with, detail oriented, and most importantly they put together a beautiful set up for our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and staff to host our big day!

We had a party vibe in mind for our wedding, and Live Wire went over and above to ensure our night was amazing. This is a family-owned concert venue, and we always felt like we were their only customer. The outdoor space is beautiful for the ceremony, and there’s enough natural beauty for you to not have to worry about too many decorations. The indoor space is great for a DJ or live band and the bar is a wonderful addition. The supplied the bartenders and all of the alcohol, which was one less thing for us to worry about. Live Wire also has local vendors that they prefer to work with, so if you book services with those vendors you get a discount. Our day was amazing, everything went great, and the team at Live Wire was amazing!! I highly recommend for any couple who is looking for a fun vibe for their wedding.

No. We appreciate a BYOB event as much as the next person; however, please refrain. LWA holds an alcohol license with the state of Georgia and Clarke County. Any establishment with an alcohol license is prohibited from allowing alcohol on premise that is not purchased directly from a local distributor. So let’s keep the bar tending to us.

LWA does not serve food; however, we do work with local restaurants and caterers for most events. Each function is different so make sure to check the event’s description to check the restrictions. Don’t worry, we’ve never had anyone leave on an empty stomach.

Yes. We have an ADA bathroom and a main entrance that is compliant with ADA regulations. We’re happy to address any ADA concerns in advance of your arrival.

Yes, for an additional fee since it's reserved thru another vendor. Free street parking, metered parking spaces, pay by app parking and the Washington St. Garage are also available as well.

Yes and no. For indoor events with food services, we ask that you leave your furry friends at home. Good news: If your event involves our Garden Courtyard, then you may bring Toto or Lassie, as long as they remain on a leash and you clean up after them. However, exotic animals or animals with poor temperament are strictly prohibited.
