About this venue
Live Wire Athens is an event venue nestled in the northwest corner of downtown Athens, Georgia. The character-filled facility uniquely includes three versatile spaces, indoors and out, plus a state of the art sound system for bands and DJs. Locally owned and operated by the Robertson Family, this former warehouse has been transformed into a multifaceted locale, perfect for any event that ranges in 20-500 attendees. The storied venue is commonly booked year-round for Weddings, Private Parties, Silent Parties, and Concerts. Combining a rich history in the Athens music scene, superordinate event expertise, and state-of-the-art presentation, Live Wire guarantees to leave a lasting impression on you and your guests.

Robertson Hall
Robertson Hall is a true gem in downtown Athens.
The great barn doors open from The Parlor to Robertson Hall, revealing walls of vintage brick and barnwood. Here, you will find an open floor plan, a mainstage, and access to our modern-vintage privacy suite. The exposed ceiling, and chandeliers, give Live Wire Athens an ambience of warm modern elegance.

The Parlor
The Parlor uniquely features a large bar, with an open floor plan, providing an intimate space for guests to gather.
The ceremony comes to a close with cheers from the crowd! You capture the moment with dazzling photographs in The Garden Courtyard while your guests make their way inside The Parlor. The intimate setting with modern-chic decor and fully stocked bar provides the perfect place for your guests to enjoy casual conversation over a custom cocktail or local craft beer.

The Garden Courtyard
The Garden Courtyard fuses the beauty of nature and the historic building to create a romantic atmosphere of urban horticulture.
A “Welcome Friends and Family” sign greets your guests under the romantic glow of mason jar lighting. Enchanting harmonies play softly as the sun is setting in a breathtaking rainbow of color and guests are seated in The Garden Courtyard. A few notes of music cue everyone to stand as you take your place on stage. Staring lovingly into each other’s eyes you say “I do.” The lights around you sparkle against a deep blue sky as you celebrate with your first kiss!

Best weddding venue in Athens!
Live Wire Athens was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, their communication was prompt, effective and friendly. The staff was so nice and welcoming, and all of our guests raved about how great the team was. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and we felt we got great value for the cost. Everything on our wedding day went flawlessly thanks to the hard work and attention to detail from the Live Wire team. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and are so grateful to have celebrated our special day at this wonderful venue.
Live Wire is the BEST place in Athens for an event
We had the most flawless, amazing, magical event with Live Wire. From the day we first inquired to our follow-up emails, the staff at Live Wire was amazing. We hosted a sorority graduation event for 40 families with 200 people gathered for both dining and live music. Even though Live Wire does not provide food, they do allow catering and were super helpful, coordinating with Saucehouse to make dinner fabulous. The space itself is cool, roomy and has both inside and outside areas that worked perfectly for our dining needs and live music. The staff was amazing. They made sure the band and tech were all covered and made the transition from dinner to dancing seamless. Erin and Erika were our contacts and they simply performed without fail. From our first inquiry to our final email, they were amazing. There were no hidden fees or surprise charges, and they have a digital platform for easy payment and communication. I can not say enough about this event space and the Live Wire staff. Thank you for making this night memorable. What a way to send these graduates off!
Perfect spot for our Athens wedding!
We absolutely loved having our wedding at Live Wire! From the very beginning, working with Erin, Erika, and the team was a wonderful experience. They communicated pricing clearly, gave thoughtful advice for us in making decisions, and lent much-needed experience and thoughtfulness to our wedding planning process. The venue itself is so fun and full of personality - the courtyard space outside made our ceremony feel magical, and having the stage is so nice because your guests can actually see you during the ceremony (something we never would have thought of before!)! The indoor reception space is perfect for a party, from the super-cool full bar to the working light booth above the dance floor! We especially loved making our signature cocktails with Algy, and you could really tell the difference of having his team of experienced, talented bartenders manning the bar at our party. Erika and Erin were down to entertain all of our ideas, and give us thoughtful feedback about how to best use the space. Overall, Live Wire is an excellent, family-run business in Athens, and their care and professionalism shows in every part of how they do business. We loved working with them and would recommend to anyone who wants a fun downtown Athens wedding.
In Retrospect, Wouldn't Have Chosen Anywhere Else
Erika and the entire LiveWire staff were incredibly easy to work with, detail oriented, and most importantly they put together a beautiful set up for our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and staff to host our big day!
