The Corry House is named after the Corry family that settled the land in the late 1700's. That same family built the house in 1869, and continues to own the land to this day, ten generations later. After meeting and marrying in Greenville in 1989, Drs. Bo and Ruby Cheves moved to Bo's family farm in Union Point, Georgia. Here, they began the work of remodeling the 150-year-old farmhouse and surrounding grounds. As their two kids grew older, Bo and Ruby decided to build a new house overlooking the Ogeechee River further back on the property in 2007. With the help of Erin and Stanton Porter, The Corry House held its first wedding in 2010. At that time, we didn't have our reception barn or the meadow and forest wedding sites. Folks got married in the garden or in front of the farmhouse. After a few years of weddings, Bo and Ruby decided to run with it and built our temperature-controlled barn in 2014.

Conley Creek is a newer venue opened in 2020 by Chad & Laura Winkler. We have a rustic yet modern feel with a large event barn to accommodate up to 150 guests seated and also a small white adorable chapel that seats around 50 inside. Both of these also provide outdoor options of seating of 150 guests! We do the setup for you and also provide two cabins, one for the bride and her guests and one for the groom and his guests. They can also be rented overnight if you want a fun last night of the single life!

There is nothing more romantic than a beautiful wedding in a countryside setting! Family-owned and operated, we have hosted weddings, receptions and other special events since 1995. We have a wedding package for almost any budget. Rates are based on day of the week, month and services. May, June, September, October and December are considered on-peak. Friday and Saturday are considered on-peak. Rates vary from $2400 for an outdoor garden wedding and reception to $6900 for a full weekend of services including overnight. Elopement packages are available for 2-10 guests and include officiant, wedding cake and toast. Availability depends on when you wish to book. ​The barn has been built from the ground up by Craig Carpenter, his brother Timmy Carpenter and other family and friends. Many of the trees use to build the barn were harvested from their property and were prepared at their saw mill on site. The idea for a wedding venue began was a dream of their daughter, now Zimmerwald's Estate manager Katie Carpenter White. What began as a simple dream and a sketch on a piece of notebook paper, has now become a reality.
