Our day at FruitCraft was everything we could've hoped for and more! Stepping into the venue felt like walking into a cozy yet stylish dream. The industrial chic vibe with those distillation tanks set the scene perfectly for our celebration. The staff were so chill and welcoming, making sure everything flowed effortlessly. Our friends and family couldn't stop talking about the amazing craft cocktails and the delicious food. It was just such a genuine, relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home while still feeling incredibly special. Kelley and the folks at Bay 13 were so great to work with in the planning and hosting of our rehearsal dinner! The indoor space was perfect for our 100 guests, feeling close but not too crowded. The food was perfect and the drinks were amazing as well! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event and I cannot recommend them enough for your special occasion(s!).

Blue Dress Barn is a dream to work at! The catering area is clean and has ample space. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. It makes a huge difference to work in a venue that has all the details buttoned up. I highly recommend Blue Dress Barn.

When we began to plan our wedding, it was important for us to create an experience that honored and celebrated our friends and family. The Flagstaff exceeded our expectations on every front and every single guest commented on how much they loved the venue - from the amazing food, the wonderful team, and the breathtaking views. One friend said she’d never seen a wedding so well staffed before, another said they’d never seen a menu with such amazing entree options, and everyone shared that it was the best cake they’ve ever had (and I don’t even like cake!) Working with Annie and the team was a joy - she was highly communicative, accommodating, and such an advocate for our vision. The Factory was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. April was super responsive and accommodating in planning our day! We would however recommend a wedding planner/coordinator which was an option within the venue packages. We went without a planner and had to scramble to orchestrate some details the day of. Small details, but overall a great experience and would absolutely recommend for couples that are looking for a more casual wedding day!

Sepia was perfect for a smaller wedding in Chicago: modern, chic, cozy, and the Michelin star food was exceptional and a hit, as expected. Our guests have been talking about how it was the best dinner experience they’ve ever had at any wedding. While the space does cater to smaller weddings, it nonetheless had space for us to have a DJ and a four piece jazz ensemble. It never felt crowded, but also always looked like the dance floor was packed. It was easy to work with Sepia staff, who were professional and responsive, and they were happy to accommodate even the most high-maintenance of requests, like only selecting French wines for our open bar and drawing up a floor plan for my florist and DJ. Beautiful space for a beautiful city wedding experience, 10/10 recommend!

We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! We highly recommend Diamond Mills!

We loved having our wedding at Fox Meadow Barn at Cloverdale Farm. The venue provides an excellent rustic yet modern backdrop for a wedding. Dixie, the venue coordinator, was extremely efficient, clear, and helpful in her communication throughout the planning process, providing guidance that helped us feel stress-free leading up to our big day. The barn has a great selection of decor that we were able to use to enhance our wedding aesthetic. The space itself is perfect for both the ceremony and reception, with beautiful scenic views. We were able to just have the place to ourselves for the day, and the day before for set up, and it felt so nice to be able to just choose our own vendors/bartenders/etc. and not be confined to preselected ones. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and are so appreciative of Dixie's expertise and the beautiful barn setting Fox Meadow provides.

Luci's at the Orchard was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. We wanted the feel of a backyard reception and it was that and more! We had about 130 guests and they all fit comfortably with plenty of room for dancing and mingling. April was amazing to work with and worked closely with the vendors and made our day as easy and simple as possible!

From the moment we went on our first venue tour to wedding weekend, the staff of Blenheim Hill was communicative, professional and organized. The roadmap they use is a great resource that helps keep you organized through the wedding planning process. We loved having a full weekend at the farm. The service, hospitality, food and drinks were amazing. We dealt with a rainy wedding day and the staff worked with us to ensure a perfect ceremony and reception. We could not have asked for more!

Milton Ridge is a lovely historic venue. We were so impressed with all of the choices - including the ability to choose whether to hold an indoor or outdoor ceremony up to the day before. Due to rain, we held our wedding in the chapel, which is beautiful in photos. The wedding packages are generous and alleviated so much planning stress. We brought our own centerpieces, but otherwise didn’t have to worry about anything. The grooms cottage was perfect for our officiant and his family. It had plenty of entertainment options. The brides cottage was beautiful and had a lovely seating area and an area dedicated for makeup and hair. The reception hall was great. We had a fun time dancing and the food was enjoyed by all. From Day 1, Meaghan and Brandi were excited for us and supportive. We definitely appreciated them. One note: One area to consider is that Milton Ridge is on a steep hill and uneven grounds. It can be difficult for those with special needs or who are elderly to get around. They do allow a car to bring people from the chapel to the reception hall. They also have ramps. Overall, we highly recommend Milton Ridge.

Amid much fanfare, the bistro’s exposed red brick & hardwood floors, among other pristine features, beckons for an intimate setting. With its “cul de sac” facade, the bistro leads to an alluring outdoor garden where a plethora of vows have been ceremoniously exchanged “pun intended!!”

Bacchus Bistro was the perfect venue for our intimate 50-person wedding in September. From the beginning, Meryl and the team were highly responsive, accommodating, and personable. The food is also incredible - our guests are still raving about it. The service was amazing, and the charming atmosphere of the gardens, private dining room, and bistro provided the perfect setting for our special day. There was more than enough room for our guests to mingle and dance (and we had a photo booth). Bacchus is by far the best value for money in Brooklyn. The pricing is transparent, and the quality of the venue, food, and experience is off the charts. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend Bacchus Bistro to any couple planning their wedding. We look forward to coming back for anniversary dinner for years to come!

I would 10/10 recommend working with this venue. They made everything so smooth even with Covid-19 and all it had to hinder us. The staff is wonderful especially the event staff. The food was some of the best food I have ever had and they made sure our wedding was everything we dreamed of.

We postponed our big destination wedding in January 2022 due to Omicron, but still wanted to wed on our originally planned date. We reached out to the team Osteria, and what a GREAT fortune that was. With just a few weeks' notice, we planned a *dream* microwedding, consisting of a dinner for 15 of our closest family and friends in their whimsical private dining room. We were able to choose from a series of dinner and drink options to fit our vision, landing on a delectable 4-course meal, family style, complete with a bar and champagne. We cannot overstate the quality of the food - truly top notch (and yes we love our food and have high standards). The service was simply impeccable - from start to finish. The team also helped us work with a local florist to include some beautiful flowers, and were very flexible with other little details to make our night very special (e.g. incorporating party favors for our guest, and a surprise virtual toast via a projector screen from those who could not attend in person). We really cannot say enough amazing things about Osteria and the team. It was so special. We are dining there for our first anniversary coming up to celebrate and are planning on making this a tradition. THANK YOU, to the whole team - simply wonderful!!!

My husband and I knew we wanted an intimate wedding with less than 20 guests. It was extremely challenging to find a venue that could host both the ceremony and reception that wasn't designed to fit over 100 guests and at the same time was elegant. Then we found Juniper. It was exactly what we were looking for and it was a bonus that it was close enough to Denver so our out of state guests didn't have to drive too far after a full day of travel. Alea and Ashley (the owners) are great to work with and were extremely accommodating and flexible with what we wanted to do. After the wedding our parents were raving about both of them. The venue itself is SO beautiful and we cannot wait to come back and stay at the hotel for our future anniversaries.

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding at Seven Ponds Farm, and despite some unexpected rain, it was truly the best day ever! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning beauty of the venue. The mountains, the ponds, the charming farm (and adorable goats)—it was all picture perfect. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the gorgeous setting. And even when the weather threatened to dampen our plans, the incredible team at Seven Ponds Farm had a backup plan to save the day. They seamlessly flipped our ceremony and cocktail hour so we could still get those breathtaking mountain views during our ceremony. They even brought delicious snacks and drinks from the cocktail hour to our bridal suite so we wouldn't miss out on any of the fun. We opted to have our rehearsal dinner at the venue as well as the reception, and we were not disappointed. We got many compliments on the food, and especially the fish tacos, which we didn't try during the tasting dinner, so we were pleasantly surprised! All around, everything was delicious. We also stayed at the venue from Thursday to Sunday, which definitely made the whole experience feel even more special, as it truly did feel like home while we were there. Olivia and Edvard were absolutely amazing. They were so professional, accommodating, and truly helped us every step of the way. When the power went out in the main house while we were getting ready, they were right there to help us get it back on. Their calm demeanor and quick thinking really put us at ease. We can't recommend Seven Ponds Farm enough. It's a beautiful place with an exceptional team who will make sure every detail of your wedding day is well thought out. If you're looking for a venue that's both stunning and has incredible service, look no further!

I can't say enough good things about Threes - the staff, the venue, the managers - everyone was incredibly wonderful, so responsive, and helpful through the entire night and the year leading up to our event. My husband and I decided to plan the wedding ourselves and were looking for something pretty all-inclusive. Threes offered catering in-house, is obviously a (very good) beer bar, and needed minimal decorations (we had a summer casual vibe). It is narrow, but we were looking for a space that felt intimate, but had space for 120 or so people to gather, dance, eat (we didn't want a seating chart), all around the restaurant. Leading up to the event was a breeze - Angie walked us through what to expect and gave sample timelines of how they typically navigate things. I had a lot of questions as I wanted to bring in my own decorations, and she made sure I got all the information I needed and as quickly as possible. Threes gave options for getting ready spaces, let us drop things off days in advance, and treated us so well every time we dropped by to pick or drop something off or chat through some questions. Of note: the food vendors were rotating, so we saw a few different menus, but were given the freedom to pic the one we preferred. I will say; the tasting was fine, the food day-of was MUCH better which was an unexpected surprise. The day-of came, and we needed a rain plan due to a tropical storm blowing in, and Angie eased my anxiety and made sure a plan was in place. Throughout the day every. single. staff member. was SO warm, on top of it, and ready to help with whatever we needed. I cannot recommend working with the staff and team at Threes enough.

We can not say enough great things about Harding's. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and has such a great old New York, and rustic Americana feel. Jill and Ken (owners) are such professionals, and worked with us each and every step of the way. Their communication was outstanding, and they were so willing to help answer each and every question. Their staff was so professional and attentive. We did not have a single guest that did not RAVE about how amazing the food was, from cocktail hour to entrees, saying it was the best wedding food that they have ever had. If you are getting married in New York City, you would be silly to not check out Harding's. We promise you could not ask for more in a venue.

The Carlsbad Windmill is a beautiful venue and I loved having it as an all in one package. It made wedding planning so easy while still being customizable in many ways. We had an amazing day and everything went smoothly. As a bride, I did not have to worry about much. My only caution is that they can change the food options at their discretion so the food that is there when you book with them may have slight changes when you get to closer to your actual wedding date. This was not a big deal for us but they did change the filet mignon option to a sirloin. Other than that, every one we worked with there are kind and helpful. They are quick to answer any questions you have throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to plan a wedding in the area. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all on the same property/building which makes a very easy transition for the guests from place to place. Many beautiful options for photos on site as well along with the beach and flower fields close by.

We booked Union Mills while it was still under construction. While we were unsure what the final product would look like, we knew that we wanted to work with Niko. Turns out, the final product was gorgeous! And our suspicions about Niko weren’t wrong, either. He was generous and accommodating throughout the whole process. Nothing is cookie cutter. He wants the catering to match your vision 100 percent. Did we mention the food was delicious? Niko’s catering skills and having a kitchen on-site made for a great culinary experience. We are so grateful we were able to host our wedding in Downtown Frederick in a venue that perfectly showcases the town’s historic roots and charm.

An ideal place to host your wedding celebration, you are sure to be enthralled by the high quality of space, food, drink, and service within the venue.

Where to even begin! First off, my wife and I had a fairly large wedding for NYC, roughly 200 people, so when we started to look at venues, we were so nervous about what we would find. Rule of Thids was actually the first venue we saw, and we were blown away by the space. If you’re renting out the full venue, you get access to the entire restaurant, plus the event space, as well as the outdoor area. It makes the flow of the wedding so nice, so everyone wasn’t crammed into one space as they were trying to flip it for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. We were also able to rent out the photo studio attached to the sake shop to get ready in, so we were on-site all day, which was AMAZING. We could easily discuss things with our day-of coordinator, florist, etc., and the space was so large and had impeccable light (our makeup artist and hair stylist were super happy with it!). We chose to use the venue coordinator, Julie, as our day of coordinator, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly responsive, super organized, and comes from the wedding industry, so she brought up things that we didn’t even think to consider for the day of that were so helpful. Beyond that, she was so pleasant to work with and just had an amazing, chill vibe that everyone wants from their coordinator on the wedding day. It was also amazing that she works at the venue, so she knew all the ins and outs of the space and could easily coordinate with our other vendors. She helped ensure the bridal party was in the right places at the right time, moved people from room to room when needed, and helped us stay on track with the flow of the wedding, which was perfect and so seamless. She and the ROT team set up the entire space exactly as we envisioned, and everything looked beautiful! The venue is honestly perfect for a wedding. We were able to use private dining spaces in the venue for a photobooth and coat closet, plenty of bathrooms (not something you think about until you go to a wedding with too few!), an amazing outdoor space for guests to cool down/get away from the noise, a huge dance floor area, spacious dining room, and so many bars for our guests to go to. The staff were all amazing, endlessly refilling drinks and food, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even after all of the amazing things above, the best part about Rule of Thirds is the food. From the cocktail hour to the dessert, this food is amazing and well beyond typical wedding standards. We had so many guests tell us how good everything was, and we were told this was the first wedding at the venue where every single canape and raw bar item was eaten, so our guests were very happy! (if you can, splurge on the raw bar because it was so good!!) After the ceremony, they set up a spot for us to sample all the canapes and raw bar items, which we were super thankful for since we would never have eaten anything otherwise. We also had a very specific request for a mazeman noodle dish we had eaten when we toured the space a year prior, and the chef and team made it happen for us, which was AMAZING and so incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for a wedding venue and considering Rule of Thirds, DO IT! We wish we could relive the day all over again because it was so amazing, and we will forever be hoping someone else we know gets married here so we can experience something similar again.

But then the Farm to People team, and I mean the ENTIRE team from the owners to the waiters, was nothing but incredibly eager to do things right, and right they did. Their execution was flawless; they are helpful and easy to work with, are open to ideas and suggestions, and then the food, the FOOD! is absolutely incredible. The Best Place at Pabst was so easy to work with, affordable, flexible drink packages, lots of fun amenities, natural atmosphere and decor means you don’t need to do much decorating of your own, I could go on and on. Our guests could not stop raving about how unique, intimate and lovely the space was. We used the Blue Ribbon Hall which included a balcony space which we used to give our guests the opportunity to play classic WI card games; Euchre, Sheepshead, cribbage etc… It was a great, separate space to hang out but still be a part of the celebration and watch the dancing. The staff even accommodated our last minute request to play the Bucks playoff game on the projector during dinner! Our wedding included lots of guests from out of town and out of state and we really wanted a venue that embodied Milwaukee culture. This. Was. IT.

Great quality of work for a the value ; the venue is open, clean, bright, and airy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wedding or big event . One memorable example was when the staff dressed up along with the Gatsby-themed wedding, truly immersing themselves in the couple's vision. My only suggestion would be for them to potentially expand their parking area in the future, but overall, Hope Lodge Venue is an excellent option for couples seeking a beautiful, well-managed wedding venue and one they could decorate and make their own.

All I can say is “Wow” !!! To me people make the place… There is a difference between a company that just goes through the motions and one that lives the service(s) with passion and enthusiasm. I truly can tell the difference. You get a feeling of being welcome even prior to their greetings. Customer service is very high on their priority list. Cleanliness is next to Godliness, and this place is spotless. They are cleaning constantly, sanitizing bathrooms and high traffic areas. My Grandmother would be comfortable here… and everyone knows how hard an Italian Grandmother is to please. Riggers Loft is situated on the edge of the San Francisco Bay. It is urban chic with high loft ceilings and wooden trusses that invite further decoration. Riggers Loft Wine Company was the perfect venue for our wedding! From the moment we reached out, the team was efficient, easy, and professional to work with. The venue itself is truly unique, with gorgeous views that made for a stunning backdrop to our special day. They were incredibly flexible, allowing our vendors to easily deliver chairs and linens. Additionally, the in-house catering (shoutout to Chef Frank) was able to work with our budget to provide an incredible meal that all of our guests raved about. Our day was perfect because we went with Riggers Loft!

Nonesuch River Brewing is a gem for a wedding venue! Their event team is top notch. Heather was our wedding coordinator, and she was phenomenal and so responsive. Her positivity, excitement, and attention to detail for our wedding showed through and she was an absolute joy to work with. I never thought wedding planning would be so easy until we met with Heather and the Nonesuch team. She made the entire planning process stress-free and fun! Heather and the event team made sure every detail was perfect for our wedding day. The venue itself is gorgeous. All the natural wood inside makes it so warm and welcoming. We immediately felt like we were home the second we toured the venue, and we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Every single Nonesuch team member we met with was so nice and treated us like a member of their family. Our entire day went off without a hitch. Our guests had a blast and raved about the food, the venue, and the special beer we brewed with the Nonesuch team for our wedding! Everyone was so impressed. Heather and the event staff went above and beyond for us, and our day was better than we could have ever imagined. We couldn’t recommend them enough!

Mary and her team at the Colonial were amazing. They walk you through everything and make it easy to keep track of what you need to bring and what you need to do when. You can tell this is a popular wedding spot just by how streamlined they have made everything. This is a group tasting vendor where they bring in everyone for the year; however, they make the tasting fun and you get to meet affiliated vendors that you can choose to book with. The grounds are beautiful and cozy while being easy to get to. They made our day seamless. I was worried, because most people I spoke with before the wedding said to just go with the flow because something always goes wrong, and to be honest, I felt like nothing did; I feel like that's because the Colonial and their vendors really cared about making our day special.

I highly recommend this venue, they were so amazing to work with. Not only is it a gorgeous venue but it also has a backup plan if the weather isn’t on your side, which it wasn’t for my wedding, but the day was still so beautiful and amazing thanks to this wonderful venue!

About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
