About this venue
We are a family-owned and operated winery located in Denver. Our award-winning wines are traditionally handcrafted, without addition of sulfites or other chemicals. The tasting room and vineyard is located just 10 minutes from downtown Denver. When visiting you will be welcomed by John Balistreri, his wife Birdie or their daughter Julie. We offer tastings of our award winning wines and a tour of our wine cellar and winemaking facilities. It's also a great location to host a lively bridal shower or wedding, with custom menu and wine options available.

10/10 Experience at Balistreri
We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Balistreri for our October 2024 wedding. We have struggled to think of anything we would have changed, and would absolutely recommend going with Balistreri for your wedding day, or any event. Pricing: The pricing was fair/upfront and there were no surprises as we paid off our invoices. We signed our contract about a year and a half before our wedding date, and they honored the pricing as it had gone up slightly the next calendar year. They allow outside beer/wine/liquor which was a huge money saver, but make sure to order plenty of Balistreri's own wine. Our guests loved it so much we added more bottles as the night went on. We feel we got a good bang for our buck with Balistreri. Venue: The venue is beautiful. The backyard was the perfect setting for our ceremony, and at night the string lights made it very cozy. We enjoyed good weather and loved having the garage doors open all night for the indoor/outdoor feel. With the decor Balistreri provides, we only brought simple centerpieces and a few additional vases of flowers/signage. You really don't need much to make the space look beautiful. We were worried about the industrial location at first, but it's a fun surprise when guests pull up and see the beautiful venue tucked away where it is. I wouldn't let the location bother you at all. Staff: We worked with Katy and Mattie throughout the planning process and for day-of coordination. They were both friendly, organized, and available when we needed them. All of the staff we encountered during our menu tasting, wine tasting, and on the wedding day were great. Our guests also had nothing but good things to say about the entire staff. We felt very little stress on the day, and could feel that the staff just knew what they were doing. Food: This was by far the best wedding food we've had, and many of our guests said the same thing. We did passed appetizers which were a huge hit. We had a hard time deciding between buffet/family style/plated and the venue was very flexible and allowed us to do a plated salad and buffet dinner. This was a nice touch for guests to have a salad waiting for them after cocktail hour, so they had something to eat while waiting for their turn for the buffet line. The dessert table was also a hit, and we saved money by skipping bringing a traditional cake. For a very small fee, the venue allowed us to have a late night snack delivered which they kept warm and served for our guests. Overall: We look back so fondly on this experience. A wedding is a huge expense and we have 0 regrets with Balistreri
A Denver Gem
We had our wedding at Balistreri on October 26th, and it could not have been a more perfect day thanks to the venue and the incredible staff. Mattie and Katy made the planning process a breeze, helped us pick our food out, took our wishes and feedback into account, and truly just gave us everything we could have wanted out of this day. They're incredibly flexible to your vision but will provide input and thoughts when needed, ensuring that everything is set up for success. The food and the wine is INCREDIBLE. We got so many compliments all night and after the fact about the dishes (lamb, salmon, and risotto), the appetizers, the desserts, the late night snack, and especially the cabernet. They're also incredibly accommodating to allergies, working with us for our friends and family with dietary restrictions to make sure everyone is aware of ingredients. We attended a tasting event to try a variety of food options, and then had a private tasting to finalize our menu, where Mattie and the chefs sat down with us and helped us tailor our menu to our exact wishes. The set-up, bartending, and wait stuff were all top notch - making our day run incredibly smoothly. The inclusion of chairs, linens, flatware, etc. and catering in house was a huge draw for us in terms of ease of planning. They have some highly recommended vendors for entertainment and alcohol delivery, who are not mandatory to use, but who worked seamlessly with the venue to create an easy and low stress day. Lastly, the venue is absolutely beautiful. It is set up so naturally perfectly that we barely felt the need for additional decor. The garage doors being open between the ceremony and reception spaces allowed for such a seamless flow and natural feeling cocktail hour. Our event of 120 guests fit the space wonderfully. We got married right at sunset, late in the year, and were gifted with the most gorgeous weather. I truly cannot rave enough about how wonderful it was to host at Balistreri. We had the most magical day and could not have done it without this wonderful venue. The amount of personal touches and care they put into hosting your event shows why it is such a popular and well loved place.
5 Stars All Around
We absolutely recommend Balistreri for your wedding venue! Our experience there was wonderful. The venue is absolutely beautiful, tall ceilings, understated and elegant with a feeling of warmth. The indoor/outdoor perk of the building was a big highlight as it allowed guests to mingle outside in the fresh air while still feeling completely apart of the wedding. The included decor is beautiful and the string lights outside made it magical. The food was really good too! We received so many compliments on the food and venue experience from our guests. Mattie and Katie were so easy to work with and very accommodating. This location really is a gem - great value, centrally located, everything you need and more.
Balistreri was a dream
Matti & Katy were far and away the most competent organizers we met in all of our tours. The price was much better than most venues. They were flexible and met our needs on SO many fronts. This was truly so far beyond what other venues were offering, and we are so, so grateful to have worked with Balistreri. And the food!! Can't rave enough about this group of humans and the job they did.
