If you're looking to host a festive meal at an Indian restaurant in Philadelphia, Sura Indian Bistro is the perfect choice. We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner for about 35 guests and were thrilled with the results. Kiran, the General Manager, was professional and added a personal touch to every detail. She meticulously handled the menu and paid special attention to those with food allergies, who later commented that no other restaurant had been so considerate of their dietary needs, especially with such a large group. Sura's fabulous drinks menu set a convivial tone for our gathering. The space we used was elegantly separated by a discreet and pretty curtain, providing privacy for our event. The staff was attentive and took great care of us. Thank you, Kiran and the Sura staff, for helping us celebrate a wonderful evening!

We got married at Osteria July 2024 and it was the most magical experience. Communication with the whole team throughout the whole process was easy, and Fiona offered so much helpful guidance in navigating and planning the day as a bride with no wedding planner/coordinator. Between the food, cocktails, greenhouse, and overall intimate ambiance it was the best decision we could have made to starting our life together, as we now have a place to go for all of our future celebrations.

Royal Boucherie, Old City’s lively neighborhood bistro, is Philadelphia’s award-winning, hidden gem of a venue. The noted three-bell restaurant from Philadelphia Inquirer’s Craig LaBan boasts a rooftop garden fit for a dreamy ceremony, a second-floor dining space utilized for the reception, curated French-forward food and beverage packages, and much more. We worked diligently to preserve and enhance the building’s historical charm and integrity. The bi-level space features restored finishes such as original pine flooring dating back to the 1830s, as well as tin ceilings, antique light fixtures, and exposed brick walls. Yards was perfect for our wedding! The ambiance is modern but cozy, perfect for our 110 guest list. Carolyn was great to work with, she was responsive and made sure everything we wanted to be incorporated into the day was accommodated. She and her team set everything up nicely and took care of putting out our personal touches. Our guests raved about the food, it was just as good day of as it was at the tasting. Bartenders were great, all the staff was great really. Highly recommend if you have a medium sized guest list and want a more laid back vibe rather than a formal or stuffy event hall.

Manayunk Brewing Company

Mr. Renner made the decision to keep the original industrial scale for weighing wool, which you can still see inside our front foyer. Our first batch of Manayunk Brewing Company beer was tapped on October 17, 1996. Since then, we have brewed more than 600 different varieties of beers, and have been selling these sought-after styles all around Philadelphia and New Jersey. Our brewers continue to explore new takes on classic styles, especially when it comes to sour ales and India Pale Ales. You will no doubt see our delivery truck bringing goods to happy customers throughout the Philadelphia region! Mr. Renner’s daughter took over the building in 2004 and runs the restaurant and brewery along with her business partner Mike Rose. Since then, they have expanded the restaurant by installing a stone pizza oven and sushi bar, as well as a chic banquet space for weddings and meetings. We’ve also begun to offer kayak tours along the adjacent Schuylkill River during the warm months.

We had our wedding here on 9/29/23 and our wedding day was completely stress free and everything was perfect! Deyna and Paris went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process and helped us with anything we needed along the way. The food was delicious and our guests came up to us multiple times throughout the night to let us know. The signature cocktails we selected also tasted great and the service was top notch. It rained on our wedding day so we did not get to use the deck but the space held all of our 110 guests just fine. We did get to do our first look and pictures outside and the scenery is perfect for wedding photos. Highly recommend Manayunk Brewing Company for your wedding! - Michael & Jordan.
