About this venue

FringeArts is a unique venue in Old City with two versatile spaces that can be rented separately or together, based on the couple’s vision. Most often the spaces are rented together. Our restaurant can seat 80 or host a standing cocktail reception for 150. FringeArts can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner in their space. The two spaces are separated by a moveable air wall. We can host a ceremony and cocktail hour in the restaurant and in Haas Biergarten right outside, and then open the wall to reveal a dining room space in the FringeArts theater. After dinner, head back out to the main bar and hit up the dance floor, or head outside to Haas Biergarten. Outside we have a bar that is operational May-October, lawn games, fire pits, and a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge!

An industrial-chic dining room adorned salvaged tanks, shelves, staircase, doors and a map of the pumping system from the original building.

This is a brasserie-style bar and restaurant. The outdoor Beer Garden includes an additional bar, seating, and fire pits. Our theater and restaurant can be rented separately or together. There is a movable wall between the theater and the restaurant space which opens and creates a lovely, flowing space. Both spaces provide a beautiful, unique location for your event, fit with historic architecture and stunning views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and Delaware River.

The Theater

An attractive, contemporary, and highly versatile venue

Our theater is a flexible space which can be converted to fit your needs. Our risers can be extended or pushed back to create various configurations and when fully extended our risers seat 232 people. The Theater and restaurant can be rented separately or together. There is a movable wall between the theater and the restaurant space which opens and creates a lovely, flowing space. Both spaces provide a beautiful, unique location for your event, fit with historic architecture and stunning views.

La Peg/FringeArts is a fantastic wedding venue to work with. Their communication is always clear, quick, and compassionate, making the planning process seamless and thorough. The industrial, unique space is truly one-of-a-kind, with an artistic flair and delicious food that has wowed our clients and their guests. My husband and I hosted our summer wedding with La Peg at Fringe Arts last summer and it could not have been a more perfect day and the best planning and execution experience, from start to finish. We were an out of town couple planning our wedding here, as we moved from Philly to DC, so communication was really important throughout the process, and everyone we worked with made sure to keep communication open and frequent. We loved how unique La Peg’s atmosphere was for our black & white, modern, elegant black tie wedding. The exposed brick, high vaulted ceilings, and industrial, urban elements juxtaposed perfectly against pure white floral clouds hanging in their theatre space, with dark linens. Everything I had envisioned in my mind came to life perfectly in this space. The first reason we wanted to have our wedding here was because when we lived in Philadelphia, we loved dining here and their food was always incredible. It was even better on our wedding night. We had the best experience hand selecting our menu, having a lot of flexibility and our guests were wowed with the options we selected, along with a bar that was fully stocked and no glass was ever empty. A year later and guests are still raving about how unique our venue was, how incredible the food and drink was, and how seamless the staff made the entire experience. My husband and I say the same. I would do it all over again with them. The absolute best night of our lives. Thank you to everyone at La Peg at Fringe Arts for making our wedding so perfect and memorable!
