World Cafe Live is a nonprofit independent music venue located in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia. Many people know us for concerts, but we also host weddings, parties, culinary events, music education programs, free community programming, meetings, conferences, and much more. With three floors and two separate spaces, World Cafe Live is a one-stop shop for special events of all types. Our dedicated team will help you create the event of your dreams down to the smallest details. We can provide you with unparalleled event planning services, including customizable menus, state-of-the-art production, and flexible floorplans.

The Music Hall

A dynamic three-tiered concert hall

The dynamic downstairs Music Hall is our larger venue, perfect for weddings, commitment ceremonies, Mitzvahs, conferences, holiday parties, fundraisers, galas, and more. This 2800-square-foot space allows for flexible floorplans and seating arrangements; up to 600 guests standing, 300 theatre seats, 280 table seats, or 220 table seats with a dance floor. Enjoy the same world-class production used by national touring artists.

The Lounge

A cozy space for smaller gatherings with a unique vibe

The Lounge is our more intimate venue & restaurant located on the upper level, ideal for cocktail receptions, happy hours, rehearsal dinners, micro weddings, presentations, meetings, and more. The maximum capacity is 200 guests standing, 120 seated at tables, or 100 seated theatre-style. Perfect for guests who want a cozy space without a big price tag.
