Had our wedding here this past weekend and for any couples considering it, all I can say is...Do it! Terrain was absolutely the right decision and we can't imagine having done our wedding anywhere else. The staff is attentive, organized, detailed and kind. The food and beverage offerings were incredible. The team at Terrain made our vision come true and we have heard from so many guests that they had a spectacular time. The best compliment was from my father-in-law who said that the wedding seemed like it cost 2-3xs what we spent just because of how beautifully everything was put together.

The wedding coordinator, Amanda, went above & beyond to make sure every detail was accounted for! ️️️️️

We’ve had the pleasure of working at Wilson Farm several times now. It’s a beautiful piece of land and the buildings have a wonderful aesthetic. There are numinous picturesque opportunities year-round. The handpicked antiques, glorious patinas, and general attention to detail make this farm unique and special. From the very beginning, the Wilson’s were warm and welcoming. They answered all our questions and they have always been committed to providing the best experience possible. On a few occasions, we had challenging requests and the Wilson’s worked with us to bring our dreams to life. They are wonderfully accommodating and they clearly want their patrons to love their experience on the farm. I can’t recommend Wilson Farm enough.

We have been working with [and for] Castle Farm since the beginning. We did the first wedding ever there! Every year they add something new and there are tons of places for pictures! The owners are great people and are extremely accommodating to everyone! You can have a beer pony, horses in your portraits and the guests truly love the interaction! We couldn't have asked for more from our wedding venue and coordinator. We changed to a small, intimate wedding due to COVID-19 but still wanted to do something special and memorable. The Valiant was the perfect choice. We looked at a few vessels from other companies and Valiant was by far the nicest and as a bonus, we got to work with the BEST coordinator ever, Melissa! Valiant itself is so elegant and classy; every detail is just what you would want. Melissa was flexible, helpful, and kind through the entire (very quick!!) planning process. On the day of the wedding, she anticipated our every need and made the entire experience seamless and relaxing for us. We made such special memories aboard Valiant on our wedding day and I wish I could relive the experience over and over!

Where to even begin with our review of the Evergreen and the amazing team that truly made our wedding dreams come true. My husband and I knew we wanted a true to Portland rainy day romantic wedding. The Evergreen brought to life every detail of our vision and was honestly everything we imagined and then some. From the incredible balcony and staircase, to the hardwood floors and the exposed brick, and the perfect Portland bar “Loyal Legion” for cocktail hour, the space is perfection and offered endless possibilities. The hard thing about endless possibilities is bringing them to life- and YVONNE helped us every step of the way. Outside of answering every email so quickly- Yvonne never offered anything less than thorough answers, amazing support to our vision, and endless incredible ideas and options- she really made planning our wedding FUN. I’ve noticed in the wedding industry when you share your vision it becomes set in stone and your team goes to execute it and that is that. Yvonne was patient through every hypothetical question and possible change- and truly made us feel like the space and the day was our oyster and she was willing to help us make it whatever our hearts desired. Our wedding couldn’t have gone any more perfect and we truly owe this to the evergreen- and Yvonne who guided the day perfectly. I am a planner through and through- and Yvonne couldn’t have been more of a saving grace and sounding light on our wedding day. She had every detail and minute planned to a tee- and kept our very rowdy group on schedule (no easy task). We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the evergreen team and the perfect wedding day they gave us.

We can not say enough good things about this venue. The owners are so sweet and attentive. The space is beautiful and very affordable for what you get. Our wedding had 150 guests and we felt like the space was filled perfectly. We had a buffet style dinner and an opened bar which both were perfectly accommodated. The dance floor is perfect. We were able to fit our deserts under the dj booth which is lofted. It was perfect for a snack as people got hungry from dancing. Our Photo Booth also fit nicely on the upper floor. The ceremony space we did outside and our pictures are perfect. Can not say enough good things

I honestly couldn’t have picked a better venue than Waverly Estate. There’s no venue like it that gives you the flexibility of coming in on Friday & staying until Sunday. We had no worries about clean up after the reception or scrambling the morning of between a hotel & the venue for getting ready. On top of all of that, the all inclusive package that Waverly has is NEXT LEVEL. I didn’t have to search for vendors because Waverly had them already available & built into my package. It was an absolute dream to have one less thing to stress about. Their coordinator, Rachel, is absolutely amazing too. She answered every question I had & was the best cheerleader for us on wedding day. She had everything completely organized & made my vision come true for our wedding. My wedding was a dream come true, in huge part to the team at Waverly Estate.

We had a wonderful experience and perfect wedding day at Aurora Colony Vineyards. We were married here in September and from our very first email to them through the end of our wedding day, we had an extremely positive experience. We worked with their venue manager, Alyse, and I could not speak more highly of her and our experience working with her. She was so professional, kind and responsive, which when you're planning a wedding and trying to coordinate most things around your venue, was SO helpful. The getting ready suites on site were perfect for our needs and fit our group comfortably (5 in each suite). The grounds themselves are gorgeous and because of that we needed minimal decor/extras. This was the only venue that I didn't feel like the indoor option was second best. It was just as beautiful as the amphitheater space. The wine was great with many options to choose from and their tasting room staff were just as wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend Aurora Colony Vineyards.

We had the wedding day of our dreams at Stonebridge. This venue is gorgeous with many options for personalization(decoration wise) and photos. The indoor/outdoor versatility is awesome so guests don’t feel confined to one area throughout the night. The staff is amazing and always there to make sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I didn’t have to go and get ourselves drinks/snacks the entire time because we were constantly asked if we needed anything. The food is delicious! Our guests raved this was the best wedding food they’ve ever eaten. The staff is super personable and accommodating which you will realize from the very moment you step into Stonebridge for a wedding consultation. Every single aspect we discussed was orchestrated for us on our big day and MORE! I have to give a well deserved shoutout to Kim, Jeff and Hannah for playing a special part in making our wedding dreams come true. We have said multiple times since our wedding that we would not change a single thing about our amazing day and that was all thanks to the amazing people at Stonebridge. This is THE venue!! There's something so lovely about waking up and getting ready on the same property as your wedding venue, and as a photographer, I love that the rooms have great light for getting ready photos. For outdoor portraits, there's a great forested area to explore and lots of pathways with fun building lines and shapes to play with. And with the onsite restaurant that attracts foodies, Briar Barn is also a great choice if you want your guests to actually love your wedding food!

We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding reception! The location is picturesque with the beautiful mountain backdrop and the rates are unbeatable (believe me...we looked into a LOT of places before finding the Hobble Creek Event Center, and no one's rates came even close for what you get!) Spencer was amazing to work with. She was very responsive and helpful leading up to our event, even ordering some decorations last-minute that we needed and making us customized floral arrangements that matched our colors. She also helped everything run smoothly the day of the event, even going so far as to step in with some medicine when I started feeling sick right as the reception was supposed to start. Talk about service! It was also very clear that she wasn't trying to nickel an dime us, but was genuinely trying to help us get the most for our money with every service she offered. I have photographed a handful of weddings at Fireseed and every time it is a 10/10 experience. They run a tight ship, but with a relaxed attitude, which I find to be a wonderful combo for vendors, couples and guests. There is always someone nearby who knows what's going on, and as a photographer, I never feel like I have to take on any extra responsibilities (which happens too often at other venues). The property itself is stunning and there are so many areas to take beautiful photos. Dawn & Dave are so good at what they do, and I can't wait for my next wedding at the lovely Fireseed Catering!

When my husband and I started looking for our wedding venue, we had pretty high expectations. We are full-time wedding photographers and most of the venues we have been to are pretty cookie cutter and not at all what we wanted for our own wedding. New Holland has character, charm, and a one-off nature that was exactly what we were looking for. We knew that when we decided to have our wedding after being married already for ten years, it had to be at New Holland. Sophie and Reagan made the experience booking and hosting our wedding effortless. Our entire wedding celebration was unconventional, and because of that, it required a whole lot of coordination with activities and food for our guests that typical weddings don’t necessitate. Sophie and Reagan handled everything the day of the wedding perfectly. It was like one big choreographed dance. I know that without them, our wedding would have been a huge, disorganized embarrassment, and we are so grateful they helped make our day run smoothly so that we could enjoy it. I was so excited when I found this venue and the experience did not disappoint. I definitely underestimated the time and stress involved in planning a wedding, but Peachtree Catering makes it so easy. You met our designated Peachtree coordinator at our menu tasting and that kicked off all the detail start work: food and drink options, color schemes, linens, etc. and they will work directly with your additional vendors (DJ, florist, etc.). Everything is really organized and easy, from digital look books, to table setting mock-ups, all of the little details were already thought of, we just needed to make selections based on our personal style. I can't emphasize enough how awesome the staff is - the day went perfectly, the food was fantastic, the table settings and service were perfect, I can't think of any detail that was overlooked! Our day of rockstars were Ashley and George who made sure we were fed, got to taste every appetizer, and I don't think there was an empty water or wine glass all night!

Our 100 person wedding at Paradigm Gardens in April of 2024 was perfect. For starters, their Private Events Director Karen is unparalleled. Communication was clear and consistent from the very beginning, and we never felt like they were trying to upsell us. As two more laid-back brides, she made sure we didn't overlook any important details. If your food is the most important aspect of your wedding, stop reading this and call Paradigm Gardens to book now. Our budget was fairly limited, but Chef Pat over at Karibu Kitchen (Paradigm Gardens' Catering) made the most of every dollar we spent. The food and bar packages were, hands down, the best we encountered at any venue in New Orleans. We had so much fun designing our custom menu with Chef Pat, and the tasting at Tchoup yard was one of our favorite parts of the planning process. Our family and friends still tell us it was the best food they've ever had at any wedding. The team even went out of their way to make sure our bar included our favorite brand of pickle vodka shots which turned out to be one of the highlights of the night. The location in Central City was perfect. It allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner downtown, and also take our pre-ceremony pictures at Audubon Park without requiring much driving time to and from the venue. The lush garden was more than we could have asked for as a backdrop. We said our vows in a short ceremony then watched the sunset over cocktails and dinner. The jasmine was in full bloom which made for awesome photos. The goats were a big hit with our wedding guests and the outdoor kitchen acted as a sort of fiery centerpiece to the whole evening. We had a local DJ playing New Orleans bounce and spent the majority of the night on the dance floor under the string lights. Without a massive budget, we anticipated having to compromise on a lot of aspects to be able to afford a wedding in New Orleans, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. We will forever be grateful to the folks at Paradigm Gardens for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

At the eleventh hour, I ran into a glitch--Ebben went out of his way (truly) to help me figure out what to do! If it weren't for him, the evening may have had a unsuccessful outcome. If you are stuck between wanting a classic, old fashioned and a modern, sleek wedding, you can have BOTH at Sun Valley! This truly is a hidden gem! I never knew SV existed until my fiancé (now husband) and I decided to change our wedding venue TWO months before the big day (Covid-19 played a major role in that). I can honestly say that changing our venue was the best decision we made! Not only did Jennifer accommodate our wedding date but she worked with us up until the very day to make sure everything was just how we had envisioned it to be (we were also very fortunate to be the FIRST wedding under the ownership of Jennifer, Melissa and Scott)! When I walked into SV on my wedding day, I was blown away at how spot on every little detail was. Everything from the entrance table to the layout of the guest tables to the décor was exactly how I wanted it. I love that SV gave me access to their online seating chart so I could do my own layout and make changes up until a couple days before the wedding. Jennifer had very minimal questions for me the week of which is crucial because, as a bride, the week of the wedding is very overwhelming; the last thing you need to worry about is your setup at the venue. SV also provides a spacious bridal suite with a code generated lock where you and your bridal party can store all of your belongings throughout the night. Let's also not forget about the mirrors in the suite that light up at the touch of your finger; I wish I'd spent more time in there but, as everyone always says, the night flies by - and they are right! Another benefit of having your wedding at SV is that the grounds and pond make for beautiful photos! Some of my best photos were captured right next to the pond under a beautiful tree. While having photos taken, it was so refreshing to look over and see our guests fully enjoying cocktail hour that was setup outside with an open bar and delicious appetizers provided by Flour. If you are able to, splurge and rent some colorful linen from Event Source and hire an acoustic musician to play during cocktail hour. It really makes for a magical evening for your friends and family. I cannot tell you how many people commented on how SV was the most beautiful venue they'd ever been to. I couldn't agree more and I can't believe I almost didn't get married there! I really could not have pictured having my wedding anywhere else. If you are stuck between a few venues, do yourself a favor and just go with Sun Valley! Between Jennifer (wedding planner), Melissa (photographer) & Scott (DJ), you are working with three seasoned industry professionals who know how to put on a party! You will not regret your decision!

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Harding Allen Estate and were so pleased with their gorgeous venue and grounds. Although at times their response time to emails was a bit slower than we would have liked, they more than made up for it in person. On the big day, the staff made sure everything was perfectly set up, on time, and they put very little stress on us as the bride and groom. The estate itself is simply an amazing space with beautiful architecture and landscaping that provided a wonderful backdrop for our photos and created lovely ambiance. Our wedding at the Barn was picture perfect. We worked with Kate at some of our originals tours and then had Jocelyn and Lauren for the detail planning and big day. They were wonderful through the whole process and so prompt to respond and have great attention to detail. They constantly made sure we had everything we needed all day and that we got to try all our wonderful food. Our guests raved about the venue space and the food. We have 79 guests which was a great amount of a nice intimate celebration. Our only regret is how quick the day went by. Highly recommend this venue and their fabulous team.

Pleasant Valley is absolutely incredible!! I worked with Donna to plan our day start to finish and it was PERFECT. She worked with us 110%. She understood exactly what we were looking for and made it happen, plus some! Karen was also absolutely amazing day of and was always around and available for us when we needed. I would recommend this place and this team to anyone!! I'm still coming down from our day months later.

My wife and I got married at Millwick in November of 2023. Millwick was the first venue on our list when we started to shop around. We fell in love with the space immediately. After touring it with Ariel, we knew that Millwick would be our wedding venue. We never went through with visiting any other venues. It is such a wonderful oasis. Millwick is in the Arts District, where I spent most of my adulthood visiting restaurants/bars and going out. I also met my wife there, so it was only right to get married there. The staff (Dana, Ariel, Anika, and Clare) were simply wonderful to work with. From their efforts to make us feel at home, keep us informed, and help us bring our day/vision to fruition, to the continuous communication, the ladies at Millwick are a dream team. We have nothing but nice things to say. I would encourage you to visit the space.

What a gorgeous, intimate venue! My family knew the last 2 couples to live on this property, so we know the area and the property very well. While I hate to encourage people to go out into the more remote areas of the Catskills (I do prefer conservation), this venue was truly everything I had hoped for and more. First of all, the property is gorgeous. Rolling hills and dark mountains in the background; ponds and wild flowers in the foreground - absolutely stunning. There are chickens, cows and sheep for the city folks to fawn over & the areas for rehearsal dinner, reception and cocktails are adorable, cozy and lit so romantically. There's a spectacular view every way you look! The farmhouse is also wonderful. Each room was comfortable and nicely decorated - the house itself is large without being echo-y and small without being claustrophobic. It felt just like home! Plus, it's connected directly to the barn where the reception is, which was incredibly convenient particularly for those in high heels... Secondly, the staff. Every one of them was so attentive, kind, considerate & helpful! They went above and beyond to make sure everything happened the way we wanted (even if we didn't know it). We're not a particularly needy couple, but we were taken aback by their generosity! They were all so friendly and communicative - it was excellent. Shout out to Jab and Danielle for their spectacular efforts - keeping close track of the weather (it was rainy) and making sure we could have the ceremony outside while ensuring that Plan B was set up and ready to go! We ended up doing the ceremony outdoors as planned, once the skies cleared and the rest of the evening was like a fairy-tale. The planning leading up to the wedding was very helpful. The staff at Seven Ponds met us at their sister restaurant in Manhattan (Blenheim) for the initial briefing, food tasting & other meetings to iron out details. They were always accommodating and made sure the whole check list was accounted for. They provided all the documents we needed to plan out the dinner, the farmhouse room allocations and more! It was all a bit overwhelming for me - I'm really not the "typical" bride and was at times uncomfortable with the attention & detailed questions - but the team was thorough and I appreciate that more (cheers to my now husband for taking things on when my anxiety took me over...) Thirdly, the food was outstanding. The hor d'oeuvres, the dinner, the after party tacos, the EVERYTHING was absolutely DELICIOUS. I wish I hadn't been so busy so that I could have enjoyed it all more. Seriously tho, if you're thinking about doing the late night snacks, CHOOSE THE TACOS. Holy h*** they were amazing... Also, definitely invest in the fried chicken! All in all, this place was excellent. I had a delightful wedding - couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out :)

I don’t even know where to start. My daughter and her fiancé were determined to have their wedding at a zoo. After reviewing several possibilities they chose the Elmwood Park Zoo, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. If you choose to get married at a zoo, animal interaction is one of the top priorities and the Elmwood Park zoo did not disappoint. We chose to include the giraffe feeding for all of our guests along with six different animal encounters throughout the evening. The guest were thrilled. The zoo also offered a variety of different locations for the ceremony and the cocktail hour which was nice to have options. We then chose the Canyon Garden for the reception which was lovely. They recently added a bridal suite which was a nice bonus. The only downside is that there is no adjoining bathroom and outside food was not allowed when the bridal party was getting ready. Perhaps at some point in the future, they will offer a light snack menu. The zoo also offers an extensive menu for both the cocktail hour and the reception. The food was very good and the caterers accommodated our requests for special dietary needs. I have to say we were very high maintenance. We had a specific design vision with many moving parts . In addition, my daughter added several specialized elements to the evening… A peanut butter and jelly unity ceremony , a memory bouquets for loved ones no longer with us and their 2 large dogs participating in the ceremony to name a few! In many ways we pushed the envelop and the zoo met every challenge. We did decide to hire a Day of Coordinator (Lauren from IDoInvites was phenomenal), but the the star of the zoo was Becky Bell who is their Event Manager. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful she is. Her attention to detail was incredible. She made everything look easy.. and trust me it wasn’t! We had a lot going on ! She always had a smile and never got ruffled no matter what issue or change we requested. She is a true professional, and I attribute her to making the evening a success. As I mentioned we also hired Lauren from IDoInvites as our coordinator and she and Becky were in total sync. What a dynamic duo these two were. I would highly recommend the Elmwood Park Zoo for any upcoming event.

Welcome. Hidden Valley was originally a tree farm that we purchased in 2017. When many older couples choose this time in life to size down, we chose to size up this beautiful 38-acre property. We have been very busy ever since making improvements. The 8000 sq foot house was way too expansive for our needs so we almost immediately converted two gorgeous mother-in-law suites into Airbnb units. They were immediately very busy. The Barn of Hidden Valley was born over time as we watched our family, our Airbnb guests, and our church family enjoys the property. We have always loved inviting others to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us every day.

Our family enjoyed one of the best events of our lives at the Barn of Hidden Valley as we gathered for a family reunion. Next up - We are not newlyweds but planning to celebrate 50 years of marriage with family and friends by renewing vows at the Barn of Hidden Valley. It will be the greatest event next to the first time we said "I Do". The setting is everything you could hope for. Picturesque, quiet, serene. So much room both inside and outdoors to celebrate any function you could imagine. It was obvious on our first visit that the hosts at the Barn have thought of everything to make your event unforgettable. From the interior decor to the outdoors landscape and natural setting, it is perfect, especially for weddings. There are so many areas to take photos that are a photographer's dream. The Barn can be decorated to suit your taste, or, it is beautiful on its own with a warm, inviting environment. The amenities are accommodating, a wonderful kitchen, bride and groom dressing rooms, comfortable seating areas, outdoor areas are nature's best. Can you picture a stream meandering nearby with a bridge that is perfect for photo snaps. Our family highly recommends the Barn at Hidden Valley for weddings, family reunions, corporate events. Anything you can imagine for groups to gather and enjoy.

Set on 40 acres of edible gardens, surrounded by old growth orchards and 100 acres of organic herb and vegetable farms… An “out of the box” venue that is completely private and not just another golf course, winery, banquet hall or hotel. Here we are open to creative ideas and outside vendors such as florists, photographers, photo booths, food trucks and so much more.

Ethereal gardens is a gorgeous venue and my wedding was stunning. That said, there are several things that Ethereal Gardens/Trademark Venues needs to improve on. 1- The contract includes additional costs (service fees, bar, additional guests, decor, etc) It becomes overwhelming and confusing to understand exactly how much your final cost will be. It needs to be better organized. 2- The invoice is the only location where you can see your cost breakdown, and they do not date any changes to the invoice. So one day your total cost is X, the next day it’s Y, and you have no idea what was added to the invoice. There is no record of changes. This is not a best practice for running a business and caused us extra stress. 3- The contract states that you cannot have a coordinator or a wedding planner because Trademark IS the wedding planner. This was frustrating because I did everything that a wedding planner should have done (creating the floor plan and seating chart, coordinating meetings, timeline, selecting/communicating with vendors…). Would have been nice to be able to have a planner to do those things like we were promised. 4- My planner tried to start my ceremony early, almost 20 minutes early! Even though most of my family wasn’t there yet! Luckily I said no and it went on as planned but that shouldn’t have even been suggested. 5- The security guards were VERY rude to guests who showed up late. 6- The venue set up my guest book upside down so the signatures are at the back of the book, welcome table was messy, and my gorgeous seating chart was set against an ugly brown wall so all photos of it are ruined. 7- Two full rows at the front during the ceremony were empty because people didn’t know they could sit there. This ruined certain photos because it’s very empty looking. 8- Getting-ready rooms are available at 11:30am (bride) and 2:30pm (groom) regardless of when your wedding starts. The venue does not accommodate based on your specific wedding timeline- unless you pay 1500 which only gets you an extra hour in the rooms. Wish we would have known that up front. Caused more stress and confusion. 9- A security guard snapped his fingers at one of my guests to tell them to leave when he was just waiting for his girlfriend to get out of the bathroom. And the staff started taking tables apart as our wedding was still going on! This led to one of our guests losing a jacket that was on the back of a chair someone took away. Summary: Wedding was beautiful, food was great, venue was gorgeous. However Ethereal Garden’s processes are messy and very greedy/money focused, and some their staff is rude and made guests uncomfortable.

We just had our wedding at the end of June and DPV was absolutely incredible!! Our wedding party stayed with us the whole weekend leading up to our Saturday wedding, and it was so amazing being able to be together during that whole time, rather than just on the wedding day. DPV was more than accommodating and the communication throughout our planning process was quick and helpful. DPV had staff available to help our wedding vendors with set-up and clean-up, which made everything so seamless. We would highly recommend DPV for any one wanting a bit of a non-traditional wedding experience!!

It was an absolutely perfect wedding celebration and the incredible staff at Blenheim helped make it that way. The farm is stunning and the food is delicious but the 5 star treatment is what sets Blenheim apart from other venues. We are both still on Cloud 100! From the moment we decided to have our wedding at Blenheim, we were taken care of. There are so many decisions to make throughout the planning process, and Min, Carol and Laura helped walk us through each decision. We began working with Mina as the time grew closer to our wedding day and words cannot express how absolutely incredible she is. Mina and her team are proactive, decisive, kind, calm, thorough, knowledgable and gracious. We arrived on Wednesday before our wedding and from the moment we arrived on the property, we were greeted with fresh appetizers from the garden. This service continued throughout the weekend with freshly made muffins and other morsels of deliciousness. Mina and her team were accessible during our entire stay at Blenheim and she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Any type of anxiety that I had going into the weekend was immediately put at bay when greeted by Mina. The wedding ceremony itself was beautiful - truly perfect - and the cocktail hour and reception were amazing. Needless to say, the Michelin star rated food was impeccable. Our guests had a blast and no one wanted it to end. As we relive our amazing wedding weekend through the beautiful pictures and stories, I will always be thankful for the decision we made to have our wedding at Blenheim.

From the beautiful lighting fixtures, the bar, gorgeous wood floors, windows, private wedding party space and the separate ceremony area I knew I wanted to have my wedding and reception here. (Even the bathrooms took my breath away.) I loved that they offered tables and chairs and it allowed me to be creative with my diy vision. Throughout wedding planning, Amanda and Stefanie were so helpful in making my dreams come to life. On actual wedding day everything was absolutely flawless and I was blown away in every possible way. From the moment we drove up the hill for our tour, we knew Castle Unicorn was where we were going to get married. Not only is the venue STUNNING, but the service and amenities are even better! My fiance and I were pleased that the food, alcohol, DJ, wedding night suite, linens, tables and chairs, and even decor was covered in our costs at Castle Unicorn. That saved us so much time and resources, which helped make our wedding experience more enjoyable. Castle Unicorn even set up decor up and took it down at the end of the night. There were never drinks or plates sitting on tables because the staff was constantly walking around and picking up, making sure our space looked tidy and beautiful throughout the night. John and Ray went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that we had a perfect day. They were excellent communicators, invited us out to the Castle for a food tasting months before our wedding, and were on top of everything throughout the process. We were never worried about anything and they truly helped us feel peace. I have heard from several of our 175 guests that we had the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. From the Castle, to the trees, stunning views from the hill, and water/fountains. It was truly a beautiful and perfect day and we cannot thank Castle Unicorn enough! The cost is scary at first, but we hustled and made large monthly payments so our wedding was paid off by the time the wedding month came along. The service and experience we received was worth the money and more. We had the best day! I cannot share enough positive words about our experience with Castle Unicorn.

We're a family-owned working farm located in New Castle, VA about 20 minutes from Roanoke. We have >100 acres of pristine land that backs up to National Forest land. The back of the farm has a small, rustic barn that has been converted for use as a intimate ceremony and can accommodate several people or a covered area for serving food, cake table, and gifts area. Couples are welcome to hang photos and decorate the barn to their liking. There is ample room for tents to accommodate DJ services, dance floor, caterers, etc. The lower section of the property is meticulously maintained and has a built-in stone grill and a large fire pit that couples are welcome to use. Ample parking is available. Power is available via generator to power lights, music, etc. We're happy to work with couples or wedding planners to make your big day unique and stress-free.

We used Senter Farms for a large family reunion and told them several times that they needed to advertise this as a wedding space! You can tell the Senter family takes great pride in this area. With the exception of the fields used for hay, ACRES are mowed and manicured. It makes for picture-perfect views. The area is at the back of their farm, quiet, peaceful, and private - surrounded by mountains on all sides. We used their small barn to take several pictures. This is an awesome spot for a wedding!!

Arrowhead has been fabulous start to finish. We were supposed to hold our original wedding on 7/4/20 on site with the reception to follow. When quarantine didn’t lift, Alexa did a great job with helping us come up with a “plan b” in advance so that we could let our vendors know. When we had to postpone our original plans, Alexa made it so stress free and was incredibly kind with picking it all up and moving to Summer 2021. We still wanted to legally marry and Alexa graciously helped us have a little micro ceremony with just immediate family. She was so thoughtful about helping us make it work and even came up with a backup plan in case the weather was bad. We could not be more appreciative of her work to make our marriage special this year and are looking forward to the best 1st anniversary party next year! They truly have everything you need in their rental collection, and they have an amazing lineup of preferred vendors to chose from if you wish. Lyndsey was our day of coordinator and she ensured our rehearsal was quick, productive, and laid back. She was so calm the entire wedding day and ironed out all wrinkles before my husband and I even knew they were there. You want her by your side on your wedding day, trust me! Mariah helped me with my bustle and fixed it again when my dad stepped on it and ripped it. She and Lyndsey also decorated my cake when I realized I ordered it undecorated.... The food was absolutely amazing! My family and friends raved about it after the wedding. I seriously have been craving it and wish they had their waygu beef sliders on doordash. WOW! WHERE DO I BEGIN? Seriously!!! Penn Oaks was just perfect for our 12/29/23 wedding day! We got engaged January 2023, and started looking at venues immediately. Penn Oaks came up, and figured why not reach out to see if they had any December availability, and I am so thankful they did! We got our first email from Ramona Swift, and we got right in to see the venue a couple days later. As soon as we started talking with her, she was such a delight to chat with and literally sold Penn Oaks to us. We knew, even knowing that we had other venues to tour that day, that we had seen our wedding venue. Ramona was the sweetest, fun, wedding coordinator we could ask for, and literally felt like I had another mom on hand to listen to me and offer wedding advice. She was professional, knowledgeable, a good listener, communicative, and respected our decisions. I know a lot of brides get super stressed, and because of Ramona, I had no stress at all. She took care of absolutely everything!! Penn Oaks is such an all inclusive wedding venue. Especially if you go with the William Penn Package. Everything that was included was amazing. I can truthfully say that NO other venue had any package like it! (Think... 10 passed Hors d'oeuvres, 6 stations, alcohol, dinner, desserts, wedding cake, photo booth, gold chiavari chairs, gold chargers, table linens, a complimentary hotel room for the wedding night)! If you want to have everything right there for you for a great price, Penn Oaks is it! And they give you amazing vendors that they recommend as far as the additional wedding things go (photographer/videographer/DJ/florist/hotel blocks/etc). As pretty and beautiful as Penn Oaks is already, we got married at Christmas time, and the way they decorate the club for that time of the year made it very easy for decor! We definitely did not need to worry about much! :) It was beautifully done already! The food and service throughout our wedding night was just top-notch! We still have people talking about HOW MUCH food there was, and HOW GREAT the food was! Many people have told us that they have never been to a wedding with so much food. It was just fantastic! My husband and I did not get to eat much during cocktail hour, because of saying hi to everyone, but they made a plate of all the passed Hors d'oeuvres for us, which was a nice gesture! The Revery was everything we could've asked for in a venue and MORE. What initially drew us to the Revery was it being modern, yet still warm blank canvas. Compared to other blank canvas venues we saw in LA that were too industrial, too old, or just not our style, the Revery was the best base we could find. For our wedding, we used the upstairs indoor area for our ceremony and dinner, and used the outdoor area for our cocktail hour and mini-festival/dance floor. It was really cool to have the option to create 2 different kind of vibes and styles within the same venue and night. I highly recommend the Revery's bar service, where you can purchase your own alcohol and they provide the mixers service on the day of the wedding. You pretty much can't go wrong on any of The Revery's preferred vendors, we really liked working with everyone. For our wedding, we worked with Gigi from Sincerely Us Events for event coordination, Gray from Moon Jar Design for florals, Kapsule Co for photo & video, Chubby Fingers for catering, Stage labs for lighting, Dart Collective for our DJ, makeup from Beautifully Redeemed, Go Cakes for cake, and Wild House Ink for our lantern wall fabrication. We highly recommend them all! I honestly thought I'd be super stressed out on the day of the wedding, but I was CHILLIN. It is so nice to have vendors you trust, and be able to know that you're in good hands so you can just sit back and enjoy what you've put together. I also want to give a specific shoutout to the Revery owner, Monica, who was a joy to work with and was so accommodating, and answered our many questions very quickly. She did so many things big and small to make sure our wedding was setup for success, which we really appreciate since her experience and high attention to detail was pretty critical for us to plan our own wedding. It really felt like Monica wanted the best for us and our wedding. We'd love to host more events in the Revery some day, but til then, I highly recommend it for your event!

Their flexibility and willingness to accommodate last minute changes was invaluable. We couldn't have asked for more attentive, approachable, kind, and easy to work with people helping us pull off the wedding. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ben and his mom, owners of The Chapel at Dragonfly Farms. Ben’s professionalism and attention to every detail is far and above what I ever expected. It snowed on the day of my daughter’s wedding, which made it even more beautiful. This change of plans wasn’t a problem at all. Ben had a backup plan ready to go. The cake and food were delicious. A nice touch was being able to have dinner in the orchard, a last minute decision we made that was recommended by the team and ultimately helped the day flow better. Any decor items you need are set up by us such as shepherd hooks, easels, signs and much more. We also include lawn games and we have a firepit for use just to add extra ambience. Best part we are across the road from the nearest hotel so guests can walk to our venue AND up to 16 guests can sleep over at Greenock for the whole weekend - so many more happy memories. We can include a planner to manage your wedding on your wedding day too!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
