The Appalachian Wedding Chapel & Boutique

This space features a boldly painted fireplace, and an eclectic array of comfortable primary seating. High ceilings and dimmable lights, hooks for swags, and original artwork. The Chapel Room joins the Boutique, which houses a beautifully curated collection of ceremonial accessories and gifts. A comfortable covered porch with swing outside makes an ideal space for light refreshments. The Chapel is our primary indoor space and is especially suited for elopements and smaller weddings.

The Paw Paw Suite is bright and airy with a queen size bed, sitting nook, and kitchenette equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig and basic kitchen items. Located on the first floor of Basswood it has a large, double shower and is a short stroll to food, entertainment and the beautiful Cacapon River. You'll also find basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in addition to ultra-soft cotton towels. A lovely room for use as a bridal suite and for overnight accommodations.

The Sycamore Suite features a queen size bedroom, a separate living space, and connected private bathroom stocked with all the basic amenities on the 2nd floor at Basswood. The living space has a sofa bed large enough for two, a table for four, and a kitchenette featuring a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig, and basic kitchen items. A short stroll to food, entertainment and the lovely Cacapon River, the Sycamore Suite is a great space to prepare for your wedding, or even to spend your honeymoon!

The Redbud Suite is a cozy space on the 2nd floor featuring a queen size bed, desk, sitting nook, and kitchenette equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig, and basic kitchen items like mugs, glasses, and utensils. The private bathroom is located directly down a short hallway, accessed ONLY with your personal key. A short stroll to food, entertainment and the lovely Cacapon River, the Redbud Suite is an inviting space to prepare for your wedding, or even to spend your honeymoon!

The Willow Suite features a private bathroom, kitchenette, separate living space, and entrance ramp for no-step access! Located in the heart of Capon Bridge, you'll find it easy to walk to local attractions and are sure to enjoy this inviting space. The Willow Suite is the largest, most spacious suite at Basswood. Located on the first-floor, the suite is unique because it has been made as accessible as possible, with the installation of an entrance ramp, for those who may find steps challenging.

The Sassafras Suite is fondly referred to as the rustic suite with its exposed, original post & beam construction timbers, brick wall and reclaimed wood wainscoting. It is by far the most unique space at Basswood. The Sassafras Suite features a bedroom, separate living space and sitting table overlooking the Cacapon River. In the bedroom you'll find a dreamy queen size bed and a connected private bathroom stocked with all basic amenities.

As with all the rooms at Basswood, this backyard gazebo has been lovingly painted and restored. Looking out over the Cacapon River, the Gazebo could not make for a more picturesque location for your wedding with more than adequate space for both couple and officiant. The yard is beautifully landscaped featuring flowering plants and tall, mature trees. Easily accommodating up to 50 guests the Gazebo at The Appalachian Wedding Chapel is a lovely space for any small to mid-size wedding.

This future site will be available Fall of 2024 and will feature a large arbor / pergola and hardscape patio overlooking the Cacapon River for ceremonies. In the plan is also to install a cable rail system for an unobstructed view of the river. Beautifully framed by tall, mature trees and landscaped native shrubs and beds, this will make a most spectacular space for weddings.
