About this venue

We're a family-owned working farm located in New Castle, VA about 20 minutes from Roanoke. We have >100 acres of pristine land that backs up to National Forest land. The back of the farm has a small, rustic barn that has been converted for use as a intimate ceremony and can accommodate several people or a covered area for serving food, cake table, and gifts area. Couples are welcome to hang photos and decorate the barn to their liking. There is ample room for tents to accommodate DJ services, dance floor, caterers, etc. The lower section of the property is meticulously maintained and has a built-in stone grill and a large fire pit that couples are welcome to use. Ample parking is available. Power is available via generator to power lights, music, etc. We're happy to work with couples or wedding planners to make your big day unique and stress-free.

A humble, intimate space to form a lifelong union!

This small barn was built over 100 years ago and served the farm for decades. It is available for a small ceremony inside, but the land and its views are the real treat. You're welcome to erect tents for food and guests and enjoy a large bonfire creekside. Ample parking is available.

Small barn usage, available to decorate however you wish, 10 acres of field availability for tents, parking. A large fire-ring is available to use and wood can be supplied. We used Senter Farms for a large family reunion and told them several times that they needed to advertise this as a wedding space! You can tell the Senter family takes great pride in this area. With the exception of the fields used for hay, ACRES are mowed and manicured. It makes for picture-perfect views. The area is at the back of their farm, quiet, peaceful, and private - surrounded by mountains on all sides. We used their small barn to take several pictures. This is an awesome spot for a wedding!!

Senter Farms was so welcoming and helpful when we had our ceremony. The mountains surrounding the open fields are the perfect back drop for fall weddings. We even had our engagement photos done on the property and they looked amazing! If you’re looking for a quiet area with stunning views that can host small to large events this is the place to do it. Thanks for making our day less stressful and giving us lasting memories in a beautiful peaceful place!

Yes. Parking will be in an adjoining field.

Most of the area is accessible by wheelchair and we'll strive to make reasonable accommodations. However, these are open fields on natural ground and we cannot guarantee full access. We'll work with you to make sure its a great experience for all.

Generally, you're permitted the evening before to setup (until 10 pm), the entire day of the wedding (until 10 pm), and clean up/tear down the following morning.

Use of the venue only. You (or your planner) manages everything.

Generally, a $500 deposit is required to book your date and is nonrefundable. If you need to cancel and we're able to book your day, you'll receive a partial refund. Specifics will be detailed in your contract.

The closest airport is Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA). Our venue is approximately 25 minutes away.

No. A policy will be issued for your event and the cost (generally $60) will be included in your contract.

Yes, but they must be on leash at all times.

Of course! We'll customize an affordable package for you.

Yes, but…. 1. The venue owner will be the only person allowed to ignite them (except for sparklers). We have a remote ignition system. Depending on the type and quantity, they will be mounted to a trailer. We charge a flat rate of $200 for setup and ignition. 2. This is weather-permitting only. Windy or excessively dry conditions obviously prevent us from using fireworks.

A large fire ring is available to use, weather permitting. Venue staff will ignite the fire. Wood is available for purchase.

Yes. If the alcohol permit is in our name, one of our staff must remain on site to serve it. We charge a $200 total fee for this (not including cost of alcohol). All alcohol serving laws will be observed.
