Sylvanside Farm is truly something special. I knew it was the perfect venue the moment I pulled onto the property- the kind of immediate, overwhelming feeling that you can’t really explain but just know. The beauty of the grounds, the peaceful surroundings, and the charm of every corner of the farm created such a sense of calm and excitement all at once. It felt like the exact place I wanted to begin such an important chapter of my life. What stood out to me most was the atmosphere the farm creates. It’s elegant without trying too hard, rustic without being rough, and romantic in a way that feels completely natural. The barns, the fields, the historic touches, and the overall warmth of the setting all come together to make the entire property feel like a dream. You don’t just see the beauty, you feel it. The team at Sylvanside was equally wonderful. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for their couples shine through in everything they do. They make the planning process feel smooth and supported, and it’s clear they truly want your day to be perfect. My whole planning process was stress-free. Choosing Sylvanside Farm was one of the easiest decisions I made. The experience has been nothing short of amazing from start to finish, and I’m so grateful to have found a venue that feels so meaningful and magical. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a place that will take your breath away and make your wedding day unforgettable. Our day was perfect!

This venue won our hearts almost immediately after our first meeting with Laura. Not only could we tell this venue had the look and the location, but it also had this noticeable warmth, and sense of great care taken by everyone on the staff. There’s a pride you can see and hear just by being around them. They care and believe in their mission to deliver world class weddings. Leading up to, and ESPECIALLY on the day of – Morgan and the on-site staff were superlative. If you’re going to get married – you 100% want someone like Morgan, and a team like the one here at DW working with you. Trust me. My wife and I were at ease and this was the best day of our lives thanks in very large part to the hard, skillful work of the District Winery crew. Thank you x100000

Milton Ridge was an incredible place to get married! The beauty of the venue and the inclusive wedding options (i.e. catering, DJ, etc.) made this the absolute perfect place to say, "I do!" The getting ready suites were superb & made the day of preparation before the ceremony seamless. The chapel was so beautiful and such a great little spot off the side of 355. Our guests still comment on the simplicity of how we decorated the chapel, and how beautiful the white walls and natural light streaming in were during the ceremony. I was not sure how we'd get group photos on the property... and our photographers were able to use the beautiful stone and green areas within the venue to capture the most beautiful photos of the bride, groom and the wedding party! Guests are still RAVING about how convenient it was to walk up a few stairs to the cocktail hour AND into the reception. They marveled at the ease... park your car, attend the ceremony and then stay and party all night long until it's time to leave! The reception hall was beautiful; the buffet food was to die for; and Meghan and Brandi ensured that EVERY detail of our wedding day was accounted for, seamless and flowing without any hitch! I cannot recommend Milton Ridge enough! Thank you for making our wedding day the most memorable and BEST day of our lives! We owe it to this team, this venue and their support with planning our wedding every step of the way!

Worsell Manor could not have been a more perfect vendor for us! From the time we toured in September 2023 to our wedding in September 2024, there was constant communication and helpfulness with the staff there. We were required to have a day-of coordinator, and were so happy we picked one of the staff members at Worsell: Ashlee. We stayed at the house on the property with our wedding party and it was perfect. The staff at Worsell were extremely helpful day of - everything was done behind the scenes for us which was great for us so we didn’t feel stressed. I wish we could do the day all over again!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Rixey Manor! Choosing to have our wedding there was one of the best decisions we made. It was truly an unforgettable venue that had everything we could have dreamed of and more! From the moment we booked, Isadora and Grace were amazing—accommodating, knowledgeable, extremely responsive, and helpful answering any questions we had and offering much needed guidance. There’s no need for a separate wedding planner because they are an exceptional team! They provided excellent vendor recommendations, seamlessly coordinated every detail, and made the entire planning process feel manageable and smooth. They really thought of everything to make our wedding day unique and special! We had the entire manor for the weekend, from Friday through Sunday, which included beautiful bedrooms where some of our family stayed and it felt so special that we could all stay together and celebrate. And the guest house where the groomsmen stayed and got ready was very helpful and so much fun! This made the experience feel like a full, immersive celebration. We held both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the manor, which made everything convenient for our guests and was the perfect way to start our wedding weekend. Our ceremony was originally going to be outdoors in front of the manor, but rain forced us to move it to our tented reception area. Isadora and Grace handled this change in plans with such ease, ensuring that our wedding was still beautiful, stress-free, and magical—rain or shine. They quickly transitioned everything so our reception could also take place on the scenic patio, where elegant decorations and stunning views created theperfect atmosphere. Rixey Manor is much more than just a beautiful venue. The manor itself is a treasure, with its ballroom, cozy library, fireplaces, and a charming rooftop veranda where guests can hang out and enjoy incredible views. It felt like a home away from home, but with all the elegance of a high-end venue. The staff, including the friendly and attentive bartending team, made us and our guests feel so special. I got ready at the manor with my bridal party—15 bridesmaids, plus family members—and it was such a great experience! The team thought of everything and provided everything we needed to be prepared for the day. They were also great with children, helping our two flower girls feel welcome and comfortable. If you are considering Rixey Manor for your wedding, absolutely book it! You will be taken care of every step of the way. You’ll be surrounded by stunning scenery and cared for by a team who genuinely wants your day to be perfect. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more, thanks to Isadora, Grace and Rixey Manor! We love you guys! **Photo credit to our wonderful photographer Gabrielle Rose Photography!**

Jack and I could not have imagined a better venue for our wedding than The Club at Glenmore in Keswick, Virginia. Growing up in Charlottesville, I knew that I wanted to get married in my hometown. Wineries are a popular choice in Charlottesville, but they are mostly located in the surrounding counties which require a long drive from hotels. Winery weddings can also require coordinating a lot of rentals (decor, tables, chairs, etc.) and finding a caterer. After researching all of the venues around Charlottesville, we chose The Club at Glenmore or many reasons. One, the beautiful and convenient location. Glenmore was conveniently located only about 10 minutes from our hotel block on Pantops which made it easy for guests and shuttles. Even though the location is close to town, it is situated inside a beautiful gated neighborhood with views of the mountains, rolling horse pastures, and well maintained golf course. So it feels like it's out in the country without actually being that far away from town! Two, the full service. Glenmore provides so much for its couples! It has an amazing on-site chef so we did not need to find a separate catering company. This was one of our main deciding factors! Couples even do the food & wine tasting at the venue which makes for a fun day trip :) Glenmore provides all of the ceremony chairs, reception chairs, tables, glassware, serving ware, flatware, etc. So we did not need to rent anything except purchase some decorations. Speaking of decorations, Glenmore has many decor pieces that we were able to use! They have arbors, prosecco walls, a boxwood wall for photo opps, votive candle and holders, charger plates, up-lights, bistro lights, etc. Three, the amenities. Getting ready spaces, ceremony locations, cocktail terrace, reception ballroom - Glenmore has it all! Glenmore has a beautiful bridal suite that the ladies in my bridal party were able to use all morning. The bridal suite has plenty of room to get ready in, hang dresses in, store decor in, and even take pictures in. There is a separate space downstairs where the guys can get ready in too! We all enjoyed spending the morning and early afternoon together in these spaces while eating breakfast and lunch prepared for by Glenmore! The space was also convenient for our vendors too. They could come and check in with me throughout the morning since I was getting ready on-site. There are many ceremony locations to choose from if you want your ceremony at Glenmore. We actually switched our ceremony location within about 2 weeks of the wedding and Glenmore was very accommodating with this switch. Finally, the beautiful ballroom was another major deciding factor for us. We had our wedding in the summer, so we knew we wanted to have the reception indoors in an air conditioned room. Four, the staff. Glenmore takes pride in providing top notch service to its clients. Kim, the event coordinator at Glenmore, helped us so much from start to finish. She walked us through the wedding process, answered the many questions we had, worked with all of our vendors, met with us for our tasting and walkthroughs, made sure that all of our requests were met, and coordinated the entire Glenmore team on our wedding day. If you are looking for a beautiful full-service wedding venue with everything including an amazing on-site caterer, top notch staff, convenient location, and gorgeous views, Glenmore is the place for you!!

If you are searching for somewhere to have the perfect outdoor wedding, look no further than Comus Farm. Lauren and Kara truly pulled out all the stops to make our wedding day unforgettable! In 2023, my husband and I were looking for wedding venues: we were very specifically looking for someplace that would not require a lot of decoration work, since we were planning the whole event ourselves. As soon as my husband and I arrived at Comus Farm, I said “this is it, I want to book this place.” The farm is located in pleasant countryside, and the farm itself has a very beautiful entrance through trees and sunny fields: many of our guests commented on how this made the drive from the off-site ceremony to the reception at the farm very enjoyable. We toured the rose garden, outdoor dining and dancing pavilions, and the large barn, all of which are airy and open, making it feel very welcoming. The farmhouse Airbnb was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Lauren and Kara were both so kind, and they provided a lot of information with us in our first meeting: we signed the contract about a week after seeing the place. Lauren and Kara used AislePlanner to help us get going with our wedding planning. The website is easy to use, and the provided checklist covered literally every single tiny detail you could possibly need to consider for the planning journey. I was especially pleased with the seating chart map, it made it so easy for us to track guest meals, stage table set up, and communicate special requests. It also prints out the layout really nicely if you need to send it to your catering company. Our wedding party stayed at the farmhouse Airbnb the night before and after the wedding. Everyone had a really fantastic time, there was more than enough space for the girls to get ready in the AM, and the food provided was delicious! During the reception, my grandparents enjoyed their dinner in the kitchen so they could get some quiet time and rest, but they were still close enough to the wedding so they could say hello to the guests and listen to the speeches happening in the dinner pavilion. I also cannot say enough about how much we appreciated Lauren and Kara’s thoughtfulness throughout the planning process and on the day. They patiently answered so many of our questions, and they allowed us to come by three separate times to see the farm and meet with our vendors. They coordinated the vendors without a hitch, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day of the wedding. Kara drove the two of us and our photographer out to more remote areas on the farm to get some portrait shots. Lauren coordinated some fun photos with the alpacas, which was a lot of fun! Comus Farm is truly a beautiful spot to have a wedding, complete with a team that made our day perfectly stress-free. I’ll definitely be looking for any other reason to book with them in the future :)

At the end of June 2025, my daughter held her wedding reception at Historic Jasmine. (We had purchased the Weekend Destination package, so my daughter and MANY of her friends enjoyed overnights at Historic Jasmine on Friday and Saturday with the main event held on Saturday.) If I could rate Historic Jasmine with 100 stars I would! From Day One of inquiring about Historic Jasmine, its manager, Ashton, was absolutely FANTASTIC! He remained that way throughout the ENTIRETY of the process as well as AFTERWARDS! Ashton's replies were ALWAYS incredibly prompt and thorough. He picked up on "implied tasks" and provided responses to those as well. He provided input to questions I asked that had nothing to do with Historic Jasmine but with weddings and receptions in general. He spent plenty of time with my daughter and me working out the details. He was ALWAYS willing to help and he always did! Ashton is the face of this family-run business. His fine character and stellar attitude epitomized that of his mom, dad, and brother who work so diligently behind the scenes, most often without notice. I am not exaggerating when I say, "The entire family is AMAZING, truly amazing!" (When I met the dad and brother, I felt as if I were speaking with Ashton! :)) Without doubt, Historic Jasmine reflects this family's time, effort, and attention to create a PHENOMENAL venue! It is a STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL place, outside and inside! GORGEOUS, VIBRANT landscaping surrounded by woods outside - historical and nostalgic decor inside mixed with modern conveniences (to include abundant bathrooms) - are at the ready to warmly welcome guests. Our caterer - Edwards Catering - was thrilled to learn we had contracted with Historic Jasmine. He has catered there for more than 15 years and greatly appreciates its setup for his services. Speaking of food, I am reminded that my daughter and her friends were pleasantly surprised to find coffee and breakfast items awaiting them in the kitchen in the morning - we did not know such was part of the weekend package so they were thrilled to discover such! I could go on and on about our positive experiences with Historic Jasmine! I will summarize by saying, in my opinion, having checked out a plethora of venues, Historic Jasmine was and is THE ABSOLUTE BEST VENUE! Without question, it is a reflection of the family who runs it, also THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

Booking a wedding venue can be overwhelming and confusing, but Stover Hall is an easy choice. When my now husband and I toured this venue, we were so excited. It mixes barn style and winery style, with a classy yet homey feel to it. The owners/operators are incredibly kind and were happy to answer any questions we had about not only the venue, but wedding planning as well. My wedding was 04/12/26 and the weather was perfect, the cows were saying hi to our guests, and there were beautiful flowering trees near the arbor which made for picture perfect settings. Everything about this venue is top notch, from amenities to the people running it. I could go on and on. There’s not one spot on this property that doesn’t allow for beautiful pictures and the best flow. If I could get married (to the same man obviously) again and again, I wouldn’t do it anywhere else but here.

The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. You can fall in love with the views of Loudoun Valley to Tysons Corner and the rest of Washington, DC. You and your nearest and dearest can relax, unwind, and more with professional staff, luxury services, and spacious settings that is not out of style.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Offers a sense of luxury
  • Classic, vintage atmosphere

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Dance floor not included
We got married in Spring 2025 at The View at Bluemont (TVB) and could not have been happier with our experience. Like most people we thought the pictures of the venue were beautiful, and it was even better in person. TVB was the first (and only) venue we visited in our venue shopping. We had our tour with Bryan and you immediately got the sense of someone with a lot of integrity but also professional and knew exactly what he was doing. He was open and transparent about the packages and pricing, and there weren’t any surprises or unexpected expenses. One of the nice things about TVB is its Bring Your Own Alcohol policy. For our wedding of 200 people, we probably saved about 4k-5k. From our brief experience looking at prices for other venues, TVB was competitive especially for the quality and how easy the planning process was. We only had to focus on the fun things like the DJ, tasting the food, and picking out the layout/colors. We were set up with Nicole as our wedding coordinator, and we feel like Nicole was made for this. Just amazing. In the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, friends would ask if we were starting to get stressed, and we’d look at each other and shrug, and say everything seemed to be going along smoothly. Nicole was working behind the scenes though with all our vendors and making sure they were on schedule and taken care of. My uncle - the officiant - had done hundreds of weddings and said Nicole was the most delightful person he’s ever worked with. Even when our breezy (I.e., windy) day knocked over our personal decor or we were having family shenanigans, Nicole (and her partner, Sam) were always level-headed, gracious, and kept the show moving along. At one point, she gave her earpiece to the groom so he could talk to the bride before we had our first look. It was a really fun moment. We could go on and on about how organized and detail-oriented she is, but there’s not enough room here. Just a genuinely amazing person, and we love her. A couple other points we loved about our experience: - We rented the lodge for two nights and the manor for the night of the wedding, and one of our favorite moments was hanging out in the groom’s suite with our bridal party after the wedding ended. - Dede and her catering team were awesome. Weeks after the wedding, co-workers were still commenting about how amazing everything tasted but also how knowledgeable every server and bartender was about the drinks and food (including the recipes and ingredients). Just a really professional and pleasant team. We were bust dancing all night, and Dede packed our cake so we could eat it for a midnight snack -The TVB team set out two plates of food for us in the groom’s suite so we could eat and have a private moment together after the ceremony (and during dinner). The chef also came out and spoke to our parents and welcomed them. There were a million other small gestures, courtesies, and accommodations by the staff from top to bottom. For this review, we really thought hard about whether we would have changed anything or had constructive feedback. But there wasn’t - we would’ve done it exactly the same way again. It is a high-quality, professional team and production with one of the most beautiful venues in Virginia. We’re eternally grateful to the team for making our experience so fun and memorable.

We had an incredible experience with Sunnybrook Venue for our wedding. Larami and the team were detail-oriented, always available, and communicated effectively every step of the way. Their antique, versatile venue provided a gorgeous fairytale backdrop for our special day. Larami went above and beyond, even sitting on the floor to bustle my wedding dress. Sunnybrook handled all the decorating and logistics seamlessly, making everything from the delicious food and cocktails to the beautiful atmosphere pure magic. Our guests raved about it all. We couldn't recommend Sunnybrook highly enough for making our wedding dreams come true.
