Working with Blair was probably the best decision we made during the process of planning our wedding. My husband and I both work 9-5 corporate jobs, and we knew that we needed to bring someone onto our “wedding team” that would help keep us on track with all of the milestones during the wedding planning process. From the get-go, over our 15-month planning period, Blair was always transparent about timing and was a master of following up regarding timelines, without ever badgering us or coming across as controlling. She spent over an hour discussing budgets with us and our families early on, to make sure that everything we planned stayed in the budget range that we’d all agreed upon. This was especially helpful during our venue and vendor selection process. She helped us find that blew our socks off, and also found us the most wonderful florist (@thelocalpetaler) who was able to provide us way more bang for our buck than any florist we’d be able to find on our own - a huge advantage. While we had our venue already picked out, Blair was able to recommend a food and beverage package with an available catering company that fell delivered us fantastic food and a premium beverage package that fit our budget. 

Leading up to the wedding, Blair was also a master in helping us coordinate our wedding day planning including family photos, transportation e.g. coordinating our bus between multiple hotels and the venue while making it easy for us to just focus on ourselves. The peace of mind that Blair brought us throughout the planning process, week of, and day of our wedding made having our wedding a cakewalk rather than a headache. Spending the money to hire Blair was the best decision we could’ve made for our wedding!

The title says it all... Emily is IN-CRED-I-BLE!!! We worked with Emily for well over a year on our wedding and she handled anything and everything that we needed help with. Whether it was finding vendors/venues and contacting them, handling paperwork, setting up calls, tours, etc., Emily put our mind at ease with it and took care of it. She's also incredibly personable and fun to talk to! By the time our wedding came, it was bittersweet because we had looked forward to our weekly calls with her! On the day of our wedding Emily was a superhero..... She helped set things up, make sure everything ran smoothly, helped tear down at the end of the night, and packed our car with decorations and things we had brought for us so we had nothing to worry about. We HIGHLY highly highly (I'll say again) HIGHLY recommend hiring Emily for ANY event, but definitely hire her if you're getting married!! We recommended her to all of our friends—she truly helped make our wedding an incredible experience!!

Neither my husband nor I had been in a wedding, so we had no idea what we were doing when we began planning. We hired SEG for full-service planning, and we were so impressed by the time and resources made available to us. Our planner, Hanh, was so organized and attentive throughout the process. She was able to provide us with so many ideas to make our vision come true, and she knew to ask the vendors questions we never would have even thought of. She even went above and beyond on the day of, in ways such as helping bustle my dress which my mom and I couldn't figure out. The wedding workbook, especially the checklist organized by time out from the wedding, was so helpful in giving us a visual representation of everything we needed to do. Overall, hiring SEG full-service was well worth the money, and we highly recommend them for anyone who doesn't have the time or experience to plan their wedding themselves!

Rebecca is nothing short of incredible! She was a necessity for our wedding planning process and coordination, and we all agreed hiring her was the most valuable choice we made during it. From the very first intro call where we had been speaking to a lot of new vendors, deciding what worked for us, which personalities we matched with, and beginning to understand all that it would take to pull off an incredible event, she made us feel at ease! She is an absolute professional - she keeps things very realistic, but positive, and knows how to work well with many different people in the industry. She knew when she needed to encourage them to follow up with us or something was due on our end, she was always very kind about it. We trusted her as she knew many of the vendors we would be working with and she also came with great recommendations when we weren’t sure on a vendor. She takes comprehensive notes of your conversations so that no idea or thought is forgotten and it makes you feel so valued as a client that she cares so much about your big day. Our families were equally impressed with her professionalism and care for her clients. With the coordination package, we were so much less stressed than other couples we’ve witnessed, since Rebecca handled the majority of communication amongst vendors in the month leading up to the wedding (and even was on top of it prior to taking a much deserved vacation for herself!). We were able to be fully present on our wedding day and thoroughly enjoyed it, which is everything it should be! We cannot recommend her enough and are so happy to follow her now on Instagram where we can see all the difference she’s making in other couples’ big days!

For everyone who thinks they don’t need a wedding planner. You do. You do and you specifically need Stephanie. If everyone had a Stephanie, there would be no wedding disasters, no war, and no famine. Stephanie is the best. She helped us look through contracts with vendors, talked us through conversations with catering (which is how we met her), and ran our wedding day seamlessly. Stephanie really knows this business. She helped us manage our budget, she set expectations and timelines, and was super responsive with emails and questions. She also was respectful and inclusive to us with all our identities, as a gay couple and a Jewish/Italian couple. The wedding industry often assumes a lot of things but Stephanie is so kind and goes out of her way to make sure she never does. Beyond that, I think it’s important to highlight what a wedding planner does the day of. She makes sure all the tables are set up so you don’t have to. She makes sure your vendors arrive on time. She made sure our photos and our flowers were set up. I cannot emphasize enough how much you will not want to be doing your own table arrangements when you’re trying to pull off the biggest party you’ve ever thrown. She also came a few days early and picked up ALL of the items for the wedding in her mini-van. Then she packed them up at the end of the night and delivered them a few days after the wedding?? That ALONE is the best. I assumed my wife, our families, and I would be packing things up that night but she gave us a magical day where we didn’t have to worry about anything. She’s also incredibly smart and thorough and NEVER complains. We had books as our centerpieces and realized later that the idea of books was going to be HEAVY. She never told us we were nuts but she actually said she liked it because we did things that were true to us. She has more energy than anyone I’ve ever met and her and her day-of assistant, Caitlin, were the best. Seriously, Stephanie is, as my wife says, a magical human being. Don’t plan a wedding without her.

I understand that, along with the excitement of getting engaged and celebrating finding your person, planning a wedding can feel overwhelming. This special event involves all your family and close friends, and it comes with its own unique challenges.

I reached out to so many planners/coordinators for my wedding and so many were either slow to respond or did not respond at all. Chelsea was prompt and excited to help, despite my wedding being quite the undertaking. I did my own (faux) flowers, which meant on top of regular day-of duties, she was putting up full floral arrangements, lighting hundreds of candles, and putting together tons of other small details and finishing touches. I can't emphasize this enough - our day would not have come together in the way that it did without her. She was on top of everything and truly made my vision come to life. She was helpful in dealing with other vendors as well, and did everything with a smile on her face. When I came to her days before my wedding with a crazy new surprise, she was down to help. As an Entertainment Director/Event Manager myself, I’m blown away by Franklin. It was important for me to hire someone I could trust to handle the organization for my wedding day. After our first meeting with Franklin, I knew he understood what we wanted. I was thrilled to know he was available for our wedding, and I feel like we couldn’t have made a better choice. Before the wedding day, I was so relieved when Franklin came over to pick up all the decor. He even stopped by on the morning of the wedding to check on us and pick up any last-minute items. This alone really touched me because many people don’t go that extra mile, but Franklin does! I was seriously stressing about how to get those items delivered, and Franklin came right along and eased all that stress! He took our ideas and exceeded our expectations. We are Funko Pop collectors, so we wanted a fun way to incorporate them into our wedding decor, and he did it with ease. He surprised us several times throughout the event, and those memories are some of my favorite moments. When he revealed the reception dining room, which he had decorated for us, I was filled with chills. I couldn’t believe he took my simple idea and made it look so GRAND; it was next level. Then we walked over to the cookie and cake table, where I was seriously at a loss for words. I was blown away by the details he displayed in his decorating. It seemed like a scene from a movie. Before walking down the aisle, we learned that one of our food caterers was extremely late delivering the food and potentially wasn’t going to deliver it at all. Franklin was calm but still urgent in his demeanor, and I totally appreciated his proactive professionalism. Moments like these can really test any event coordinator's patience and could cause a domino effect. I don’t know exactly what happened or what he did, but all the food was there and ready to be served when it was time to eat. Our guests LOVED our wedding. They all mentioned how different and elevated our wedding was, and I’m 100% sure that had a lot to do with Franklin’s hard work. We wanted something unique, and he delivered. Overall, I’m truly grateful to have met Franklin and want to also shine some light on his assistant, Will. Both of their A, fun, efficacious attitudes just make everything better. I was able to kick back and watch my wedding day unfold beautifully. We started working with Amanda one year out from our wedding day and she hit the ground running with checklists, timeline planning, and vendor recommendations. We talked through several timeline options and her quarterly check-ins kept us on track with the endless wedding to-do's. On the actual day of, Amanda and her team made us feel so calm and collected throughout the Taste of Chicago traffic, Lake Shore Drive accidents, and wrangling 20 men together for a choreographed dance at the reception. She even bustled my dress with safety pins at cocktail hour after realizing that it was a bit too long. I think the best testament to APE's work is that I never knew - and still don't know - of a single thing that went wrong on our wedding day. Everything was handled with utmost professionalism and without involving myself or my bridal party/family, allowing everyone to sit back and enjoy the celebration. Hiring Ohana and working with Sonya was easily the best decision we made while wedding planning. I was hesitant to hire an outside coordinator because we had a venue coordinator, but the venue coordinator does not do nearly the amount that Ohana does. Hiring Ohana is a NEED. I was first introduced to Danielle and we instantly connected. I felt she understood my vision and wanted to help create our dream wedding. We were lucky enough to be assigned to Sonya for the 90-day coordination package and she was the kindest, most patient, and organized planner. She responded quickly to emails and answered all of my questions, she took over communication with vendors and relieved much of the planning stress, she provided detailed checklists and kept me on track. She also created a detailed by the minute itinerary for the entire weekend for us, our vendors, and a shorthand version for our bridal party which was extremely helpful. Our wedding day was seamless with no hiccups and I can honestly thank Sonya for that. She made sure to keep the day moving on schedule, communicated with all of the vendors, and made sure to check in with me often. Even wedding guests and our parents gave raving reviews for Sonya. My husband and I agree that hiring Ohana and being able to work with Sonya was the best investment we would do all over again, and we recommend them to everyone. I wish I had hired Sonya sooner! Best wedding coordinator of all time. It is true, Ohana means family, and that is exactly how the team treats you.

So many people in my bridal party / other guests at the wedding mentioned how amazing Colleen was!! The bridal party / other VIP's LOVED the detailed timeline/itinerary that Colleen prepared and distributed prior to the wedding. People knew where to be and when, and didn't have to reach out to me with small questions as a result. People around us noticed and appreciated all that she and her team did, and we certainly did, too. AND, Colleen did it all with a calming presence and a smile on her face. We were so impressed.
