Ohana Events is an elevated event planning and design company based in both Chicago & South Florida, but often travel for their events, with distances as far as Mexico and Italy. The Ohana team strives to make the entire planning process, from first meeting to the big day a stress-free experience. Let’s face it, weddings and events are more than just one long day. Months, and sometimes years, of hard work are put into building a celebration – hopefully with lots of champagne toasts and happy tears along the way!

We have a range of planners with different personalities and different skill sets, located across the US, so we try to perfectly pair the correct planner with each client. Also, because so much time, money and effort are put into every single event, the team at Ohana Events feels it’s important to make the entire experience one that you will cherish and remember forever.     From my initial meeting with Danielle, the owner of Ohana Events, I knew this was the perfect fit. Danielle’s confidence, positivity, and genuine passion for what she does made a lasting impression. I chose the day of coordination package, and Emily was assigned as our wedding coordinator. Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky because, without Emily, this wedding simply could not have happened. She is the calmest, kindest, most resourceful, and supportive person I could have ever asked for. It felt like having a built-in best friend who went above and beyond for us time and time again. Emily’s meticulous attention to planning, details, and timelines was remarkable. She maintained constant communication with our vendors and us, ensuring every loose end was tied up. When I faced a few beauty mishaps, Emily was right there with solutions, recommendations, and even personally reached out to vendors. Her established relationships within the wedding community speak volumes about her professionalism and the respect she’s earned. Everyone loves working with her. On the wedding day, Emily was by my side every step of the way, from sending a sweet text while I was getting ready to warmly greeting me at the venue and constantly checking in throughout the event. She went above and beyond to calm my nerves before the ceremony, and her presence alone was incredibly reassuring. Emily’s kindness and attentiveness extended to my family and friends as well. My mom was especially impressed by everything Emily did for us and appreciated how she even checked in on her. Emily’s care and dedication made our wedding day not only seamless but completely stress free. To anyone considering working with Ohana Events, I cannot recommend them enough, especially Emily. Her expertise, kindness, and professionalism set her apart, and I feel so grateful to have had her by my side.     Ohana Events and Sonya, the wedding planner, were absolutely amazing to work with. From the very beginning, Sonya was incredibly responsive, helpful, and friendly in all of our communications. Her attention to detail and ability to keep everything running smoothly on the wedding day was truly invaluable. Sonya was on top of every aspect, ensuring that everything was communicated clearly and efficiently to us and all of our vendors. The best money we spent for our wedding was hiring Ohana Events - it made the entire day so much more enjoyable and worth it, as we were able to truly be present and soak in all the special moments without having to worry about the logistics. I cannot recommend Ohana Events and Sonya highly enough!

    The BEST wedding planning team we could have asked for!! From the first meeting we had with them, my husband & I were sold on working with Ohana Events. They are so easy to work with and did a phenomenal job bringing our vision to life. Wedding planning can be such a stressful time but I never felt any stress working with them - Danielle & Sonya stayed on top of every single details, and made sure our day went off without a single issue! Sonya was our day-of coordinator as well, and we could not have asked for a better person to be there for our big day. We had a very large wedding party, and Sonya kept everyone in line and on schedule! If you are on the fence at all, book with Ohana!!! You will be so happy you did!

    Hiring Ohana and working with Sonya was easily the best decision we made while wedding planning. I was hesitant to hire an outside coordinator because we had a venue coordinator, but the venue coordinator does not do nearly the amount that Ohana does. Hiring Ohana is a NEED. I was first introduced to Danielle and we instantly connected. I felt she understood my vision and wanted to help create our dream wedding. We were lucky enough to be assigned to Sonya for the 90-day coordination package and she was the kindest, most patient, and organized planner. She responded quickly to emails and answered all of my questions, she took over communication with vendors and relieved much of the planning stress, she provided detailed checklists and kept me on track. She also created a detailed by the minute itinerary for the entire weekend for us, our vendors, and a shorthand version for our bridal party which was extremely helpful. Our wedding day was seamless with no hiccups and I can honestly thank Sonya for that. She made sure to keep the day moving on schedule, communicated with all of the vendors, and made sure to check in with me often. Even wedding guests and our parents gave raving reviews for Sonya. My husband and I agree that hiring Ohana and being able to work with Sonya was the best investment we would do all over again, and we recommend them to everyone. I wish I had hired Sonya sooner! Best wedding coordinator of all time. It is true, Ohana means family, and that is exactly how the team treats you.
