Nazareth Hall

5.0

Grand Rapids, OH
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Nazareth Hall is known throughout the region as a banquet and wedding facility, but it’s the rich history and lush setting that draws people here. Built in 1927 as an all-boy Catholic boarding school. It eventually evolved into a renowned military school for boys. Throughout its history the school stayed true to its Catholic roots and the nuns who served and taught here. Operating until 1982 the stories written within its walls are still told today. Re-emerging with a new mission and purpose in April of 1991, Nazareth Hall was reborn. It is in this picturesque place, reminiscent of castles of old, that brides come to be married and celebrate with family and friends in grand ballrooms. The classrooms and meeting spaces offer the perfect vintage background for business training sessions, and the manicured lawns have been host to numerous parties and festivities.

BOOK WITH NAZARETH HALL!! I can not say enough good things about this wedding venue. First of all it’s gorgeous!!! And they checked all of our boxes and more. We were looking for an all inclusive venue and that is just what they do. Venue, catering, alcohol and ceremony and reception all in one place! Their wedding coordinators make the wedding planning process so easy. They were available for any email or phone call any time. They provide you with a preferred vendor book which is amazing and helped us pick ALL of our vendors. The food and bar service were great and I got so many compliments from family and friends. Last but not least they provide you with a day of coordinator! She took all the stress away on the wedding day, communicated with the preacher, musicians, etc and made sure everyone was lined up correctly! As a bride I couldn’t appreciate this enough! She also brought my husband and I drinks all night so we could stay with family and friends and dance and didn’t have to worry about going down to the bar. Nazareth hall is amazing and I can’t say enough great things about them! If you are looking for a wedding venue look no further!

Truly a unique property with so many options to make your guests experience a memorable one that will be talked about for generations. A family owned historic garden estate wrapped around a cream city gothic revival chapel built in 1867 and surrounded by farmland in the rolling hills of the kettle moraine

Awarded Best of Zola
I've seen a few other reviewers comment that if you visit the Gardens, you don't need to go any further. And I think that's right... If you talk to the Gardens and like what you see, that's exactly what you get. My wife and I did tour another place after we visited the Gardens, and their was simply no comparison. If you're like us and are not committed to DIYing I don't think there's a better inclusive venue in the area. The Gardens staff are responsive and helpful throughout the preparatory project, and truly being able to do almost everything through them was amazing. They also really showed their commitment as the ceremony date approached. We had to change officiants at the last minute due to illness, and our MC was in from out of town. They absolutely worked with us to get them up to speed and ensure everything went smoothly. I'd recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in the area.

Milton Ridge was an incredible place to get married! The beauty of the venue and the inclusive wedding options (i.e. catering, DJ, etc.) made this the absolute perfect place to say, "I do!" The getting ready suites were superb & made the day of preparation before the ceremony seamless. The chapel was so beautiful and such a great little spot off the side of 355. Our guests still comment on the simplicity of how we decorated the chapel, and how beautiful the white walls and natural light streaming in were during the ceremony. I was not sure how we'd get group photos on the property... and our photographers were able to use the beautiful stone and green areas within the venue to capture the most beautiful photos of the bride, groom and the wedding party! Guests are still RAVING about how convenient it was to walk up a few stairs to the cocktail hour AND into the reception. They marveled at the ease... park your car, attend the ceremony and then stay and party all night long until it's time to leave! The reception hall was beautiful; the buffet food was to die for; and Meghan and Brandi ensured that EVERY detail of our wedding day was accounted for, seamless and flowing without any hitch! I cannot recommend Milton Ridge enough! Thank you for making our wedding day the most memorable and BEST day of our lives! MillCreek Wilde " for lovers of Nature "

4.7

Watervliet, MI
  • Up to 280 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

MillCreek Wilde sits deep in the countryside of Southwest Michigan just 1.5 hours from Chicago and 2 hours from Detroit. It's a perfect central location for your out of town guests. As you approach MillCreek you are surrounded by rolling fields, fragrant orchard blossoms, fruiting trees and beautiful working farms which sets the stage for your day. In fact, Millcreek Wilde is noted for offering one of the most private and secluded wedding day experiences.

MillCreek Wilde provided the perfect rustic yet elegant backdrop for our special day. Communication with the venue owner, Amelia, was quick, friendly, and attentive throughout the planning process. She responded to all our questions promptly and helped ensure everything came together smoothly. The venue itself is simply stunning with tall trees, string lights, and beautiful landscaping that made bringing in additional decor almost unnecessary. We felt the venue was very fairly priced given the beautiful setting and helpful staff. Amelia even took the time during the reception to capture photos for an Instagram reel to help us remember our special moments at MillCreek Wilde. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect, naturally beautiful venue with an accommodating team to match for our wedding day! It was a magical setting - exactly right for our personalities and hopes for our “enchanted woodland” wedding!

The team at the Chabot did a great job facilitating our wedding, and the venue was excellent - we used the planetarium for our ceremony, and the 2nd floor Spees for the reception Strengths: - Nicole, Samantha, and the other staff at the CSSC were helpful and professional. They assisted in planning the event (thinking through what spaces work well for what activities), worked well with other vendors (including our band who was new to the space), and were accessible and effective on the day of the wedding which helped ensure the event went smoothly and was fun for all - The event space is visually interesting so you do not need much (if any) decoration - we did no florals beyond bouquets and simple table decorations - Exhibits and telescope viewings allow guests more options for activities beyond the common drinks and dancing (which you can also do) - Venue offers the option to rent furniture, which is one fewer thing to think about - CSSC provides a list of recommended vendors can be useful for narrowing search (even for services where they do not require you to select from the list) Things to think about: - Some restrictions on vendors (catering specifically) mean you cannot fully customize and does add costs, but also means that vendors are pre-vetted - Renting rooms/areas for pre-wedding prep is extra - be advised - Telescope viewings subject to weather - While we have heard it can be difficult to get rides to/from the venue, none of our guests had issues (but several did opt to carpool) Overall, it was a great experience made possible by the site and the team at the CSSC - we are very happy with our choice

10 South is a BEAUTIFUL venue and made our wedding day perfect! The staff were absolutely incredible. From wedding planning, to day of organization, through execution they were flawless. Their little touches like holding the doors and directing guests made our experience extra special. Our coordinator Megan was a huge help and had great communication with us throughout the entire process. We used the in-house DJ, outdoor bar cart, lawn games, and several other add-ons through the venue. I would definitely recommend this venue!!

Discover the possibilities for your dream day with us today!

I’ve put off writing this review because I didn’t want to do a disservice to the Treasury. To start, the venue is stunning, it made planning so easy for a bride like me who had no idea where to start for decor. The thing that you can’t see in pictures is how incredible the staff is. They were super communicative throughout the entire process. Any questions I had, they would answer within a day or two of me reaching out. They were proactive when a deadline came up, sending a heads up message a few weeks before so even if I had forgotten, I had time to get everything together. Finally, I did not expect their attentiveness on the actual day of our wedding but Hayley and Josh helped make us feel so special the whole day. The discord on wedding Facebook and TikTok is that the venue coordinator is there for the venue and to not expect them to help out day of except for anything venue related. That was not my experience at all, for example, I got sucked into talking to guests while dinner was being served and yet almost an hour after everyone ate, Josh arranged my husbands and my dinner in the private room, and it was freshly cooked and still hot. My wedding day was one of my best days so far, and so much of that can be attributed to the Treasury.

Rule of Thirds

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Up to 250 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Rule of Thirds is a restaurant and event venue that operates out of Brooklyn, New York. Situated in a vibrant, urban setting not far from McCarren Park, there is a chic, design-orientated, and industrial ambience to enjoy here. An ideal place to host your wedding celebration, you are sure to be enthralled by the high quality of space, food, drink, and service within the venue.

Where to even begin! First off, my wife and I had a fairly large wedding for NYC, roughly 200 people, so when we started to look at venues, we were so nervous about what we would find. Rule of Thids was actually the first venue we saw, and we were blown away by the space. If you’re renting out the full venue, you get access to the entire restaurant, plus the event space, as well as the outdoor area. It makes the flow of the wedding so nice, so everyone wasn’t crammed into one space as they were trying to flip it for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. We were also able to rent out the photo studio attached to the sake shop to get ready in, so we were on-site all day, which was AMAZING. We could easily discuss things with our day-of coordinator, florist, etc., and the space was so large and had impeccable light (our makeup artist and hair stylist were super happy with it!). We chose to use the venue coordinator, Julie, as our day of coordinator, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly responsive, super organized, and comes from the wedding industry, so she brought up things that we didn’t even think to consider for the day of that were so helpful. Beyond that, she was so pleasant to work with and just had an amazing, chill vibe that everyone wants from their coordinator on the wedding day. It was also amazing that she works at the venue, so she knew all the ins and outs of the space and could easily coordinate with our other vendors. She helped ensure the bridal party was in the right places at the right time, moved people from room to room when needed, and helped us stay on track with the flow of the wedding, which was perfect and so seamless. She and the ROT team set up the entire space exactly as we envisioned, and everything looked beautiful! The venue is honestly perfect for a wedding. We were able to use private dining spaces in the venue for a photobooth and coat closet, plenty of bathrooms (not something you think about until you go to a wedding with too few!), an amazing outdoor space for guests to cool down/get away from the noise, a huge dance floor area, spacious dining room, and so many bars for our guests to go to. The staff were all amazing, endlessly refilling drinks and food, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even after all of the amazing things above, the best part about Rule of Thirds is the food. From the cocktail hour to the dessert, this food is amazing and well beyond typical wedding standards. We had so many guests tell us how good everything was, and we were told this was the first wedding at the venue where every single canape and raw bar item was eaten, so our guests were very happy! (if you can, splurge on the raw bar because it was so good!!) After the ceremony, they set up a spot for us to sample all the canapes and raw bar items, which we were super thankful for since we would never have eaten anything otherwise. We also had a very specific request for a mazeman noodle dish we had eaten when we toured the space a year prior, and the chef and team made it happen for us, which was AMAZING and so incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for a wedding venue and considering Rule of Thirds, DO IT! We wish we could relive the day all over again because it was so amazing, and we will forever be hoping someone else we know gets married here so we can experience something similar again.

The Carlsbad Windmill is a beautiful venue and I loved having it as an all in one package. It made wedding planning so easy while still being customizable in many ways. We had an amazing day and everything went smoothly. As a bride, I did not have to worry about much. My only caution is that they can change the food options at their discretion so the food that is there when you book with them may have slight changes when you get to closer to your actual wedding date. This was not a big deal for us but they did change the filet mignon option to a sirloin. Other than that, every one we worked with there are kind and helpful. They are quick to answer any questions you have throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to plan a wedding in the area. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all on the same property/building which makes a very easy transition for the guests from place to place. Many beautiful options for photos on site as well along with the beach and flower fields close by.

Homewood, a special event venue in Asheville, NC, is an ideal destination for rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, and gatherings. Homewood is a beautifully restored 1920s stone manor located in Asheville's post-Victorian historic district of Montford. The elegant castle was originally built as a private home. The elegance of the 1920s luminesces from original wrought iron chandeliers and alabaster sconces, casting graceful lighting from the 20-foot ceilings of the Great Room to the original hardwood floors, cherry walls, and grand Appalachian stone fireplaces. Our guests could not stop raving about how unique, intimate and lovely the space was. We used the Blue Ribbon Hall which included a balcony space which we used to give our guests the opportunity to play classic WI card games; Euchre, Sheepshead, cribbage etc… It was a great, separate space to hang out but still be a part of the celebration and watch the dancing. The staff even accommodated our last minute request to play the Bucks playoff game on the projector during dinner! Our wedding included lots of guests from out of town and out of state and we really wanted a venue that embodied Milwaukee culture. This. Was. IT.

There's much to see here, even more, to see in person. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line. Come by for a tour and see what all the hype is about. We are centrally located in the Heights area of the inner loop. We allow outside alcohol and catering.

I hosted a wedding for my son and my new daughter-in-law last weekend. I am in awe of the whole evening. The venue was so beautiful. We had the wedding and reception in the same room. After the wedding, all the guests went out to the bar area for the cocktail hour. The room was magically transformed from a wedding ceremony to a reception within a very short time. The owners, Cathy and Brendan, were so easy to work with. They made us feel comfortable the first time we met. They answered all our questions and were very accommodating. Cathy, Brendan and Kelli, our coordinator, guided us through the whole process, from beginning to end. And the food! We elected to use The Lasagna House, which was fabulous! Their signature lasagna and the chicken fettuccine penne pasta was delicious. Every guest I spoke with enjoyed both the gorgeous venue and the dinner. I could go on and on about this fabulous place, but instead, just go see it for yourselves. They have open houses frequently. You can see the wedding venue and taste the different caterers’ food and cakes. I could not have asked for a better experience at The Heights Villa!

The Haight

5.0

Elgin, IL
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor

The Haight is a wedding and event venue located in Elgin, IL and is enveloped by a historic neighborhood, for a romantic and storied setting for your wedding. This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Brick walls and hardwood flooring accent exposed ductwork. There are multiple spaces for hosting your ceremony, reception, and many other wedding-related gatherings. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. The second floor features 7,000 square feet of space. 250 people seated or 200 people seated with a dance floor can fit in this event area. You can also take your celebrations outside on the spacious rooftop deck.

The Haight was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Lauren, our coordinator, was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and detail-oriented throughout the planning process, making it stress-free for us. On the big day itself, Lauren handled everything seamlessly behind the scenes - if any issues came up, we were blissfully unaware thanks to her proactive approach. The venue itself is unique, clean, and simply beautiful. From the charming exposed brick to the giant windows flooding the space with natural light, The Haight provided a warm, romantic backdrop for our nuptials. Look no further than Paradigm Gardens for the unforgettable, joyful, vibrant, delicious and thoughtful wedding or celebration that you've always imagined! We had always admired the space for its lush, colorful, genuine energy, but we had no idea how special and personal the experience would be when we reached out to inquire about having our wedding in the garden. Starting at the beginning, Karen was so available and personable which made it possible for us to talk through our needs and hopes and find a solution that would work for our budget and vison. From that point, we felt extremely supported throughout the year leading up to our wedding with prompt answers whenever we had questions, phone calls to discuss any idea we had to see how we could make it work in the garden, and a menu tasting that was so much fun and SO delicious! One major point to any prospective couple, the food is SPECTACULAR! Made on the outdoor grill and brick oven, the culinary experience is a feast for every sense and seriously something our guests (and we) are still talking about! With rain in the forecast as our wedding approached, Karen and Sarah made sure every detail was thought of to ease our nerves, and we had a perfect rain plan that was stunning and perfect! The Paradigm team thinks of every detail so that you can create the day of your dreams. The garden flowers and foliage w ere just divine, the layout was thought out perfectly for our group size, the food was prepared and served without us having to think about a thing and we could just soak in our amazing family and friends, and the love and joy around us! The staff were such a delight and so kind and helpful throughout the evening! We had an absolute BLAST and will remember every second of the perfect day to start our next chapter together. Paradigm is the best decision we made aside from marrying each other!

My women's education and networking group, the Women's Professional Network (WPN) held an event at Revel 32 on the evening of June 29. The venue is simply amazing! Beautiful, well laid out for any type of event. On the first floor there is a greeting/social area. When you climb to the top of the beautiful stairway, there is a small area that leads to a larger meeting room. There is a beautiful bar between these 2 rooms. There is also a larger room with a lovely stage. On the third floor there is another room and an exquisite balcony overlooking the second floor. The venue layout was very conducive to a networking event like ours. The hostess ( Judy Hannon) and her team were so hospitable and warm. Parking is readily available next to the building or in the public parking lot across the street. I would highly recommend Revel 32 as a venue for any type of event. The Revel 32 team will be sure to make your event a memorable one. Lea Bishop, CEO of the WPN

Valentine is our grandest location, and features a flowing 9,000 square-foot site plan designed for private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, productions and live performances. The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management, plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Originally built in the 1920’s in an area that has long served as the city’s seafood market east of Downtown, the building has lived many lives in its century of use; it’s been a hotel, a brothel, a fish and oyster company, and a commercial site for everything from glass blowing to marijuana cultivation. This mysterious history subtly informed our re-invention of the space.

The team at Valentine was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout our wedding planning process alongside our wedding planner. Their communication was excellent - they were always quick to respond to our questions and flexible in accommodating any changes we needed to make. We felt completely organized and at ease knowing they had everything under control. The venue itself was stunning, with a beautiful and unique style that made our special day feel even more magical. The quality of their work and attention to detail was exceptional, and the overall value they provided was incredible. We are so grateful to the Valentine team for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect.

The Ebell Of Los Angeles

The Ebell of Los Angeles is a historical wedding venue located in Los Angeles, California. The property is situated in the heart of Los Angeles, and was built in 1927 as an architectural masterpiece. You and your guests will feel enchanted as you explore the details of this beautiful space. It is versatile enough to transform into your desired aesthetic or stand alone in its own beauty. Beyond being a stunning venue, The Ebell of Los Angeles offers a staff that is happy to help you through the entire planning process to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. On the day of your event, you and your loved ones can enjoy a delicious unforgettable meal created by the dedicated culinary team.

Never in a million years did I think I’d be able to get married at a venue like this. The Ebell is the sort of thing you only see in movies (and that’s because it’s in all the movies!). You can see for yourself how breathtaking this space is, but what you can’t see from a website or an Instagram page is how equally incredible its staff are. Working with the Ebell was an absolute joy, every single person we interacted with was professional, kind, funny, and most importantly, cared so deeply about our special day. I’d be remiss not to mention our coordinator, Katie, who I could not extend enough gratitude to if I tried. If location and people weren’t enough, our food and drinks were actually insane. Two months after our wedding, we are still getting compliments on the food. Finally, the banquet staff, the real stars of the day itself, were remarkable. Such professionalism and poise that you could only expect from a place that looks like the Ebell. Truly an absolutely incredible experience, a dream come true.

The Wadsworth Mansion, a nineteenth-century Beaux Art style mansion, is the quintessential country estate. The Mansion can accommodate two hundred guests for a seated dinner reception and larger numbers for cocktail parties. Only one event is scheduled each day and couples can select from a list of approved caterers to create the wedding of their dreams.

Weeks later, we're still absolutely gushing over the Mansion! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to luxurious facilities, not to mention the stunning views. We had the pleasure of working with Alexandra(Alex) we could not have asked for a better person! Alex knew all of our family members and bridal party’s names, and was extremely personable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of all night. She brought me a snack before the ceremony and continuously brought me my water all day and night (without me asking)They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout your entire day and their top notch team(along with our caterer David Alan) ensured that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. In the early stages of planning we worked with Jessica Hess and she is extremely helpful and communicative. The mansion truly felt like home for the day. We hosted our ceremony on the vista , cocktail hour was on the terrace, and we had dinner in the East ballroom. Guests were in awe of the estate (we also lucked out with absolutely perfect weather), and how every detail was perfectly executed. Our special day was truly a dream and felt like it was out of a movie! We could not recommend the Wadsworth Mansion enough, and can't wait to return for future celebrations. This Beaux Arts style building built in 1905 overlooks the scenic Lullwater and Lullwater Bridge offering a breathtaking natural setting and stately backdrop for your special occasion.

The Prospect Park Boathouse was our absolute dream venue and the perfect setting for our big day! We had been torn between having a wedding more in nature or more in the city, and the Boathouse was the perfect blend between the two. Although the food wasn't our top priority, it ended up being a highlight of the day (especially the bacon wrapped dates). Throughout planning, Elena was very communicative and quick to respond to any email or question we had. Many of our guests commented on how elegant and classic New York the Boathouse was as a venue, and that's exactly what made us fall in love with it in the first place. We're also very excited that they recently opened a cafe out of the Boathouse during the day as well so that we can go back and relive our special day over and over again. A big thank you to Elena and the rest of the Purslane team for making our special day absolutely perfect!

I worked with Kristian, and she was awesome. Answered all questions very quickly, and was very accommodating throughout the planning process. Our day was beyond amazing. If there were issues, I had no idea. I attended my own cocktail hour, ate dinner, danced the night away, and was able to enjoy myself in all the ways people tell you that you can’t as a bride. This is without a wedding planner, as well. At DCI, they truly are a one stop shop, and you can have the perfect day without the hassle of coordinating a bunch of vendors yourself since many of them (preferred and nonpreferred) are accustomed to the venue. We used their preferred florist, Fleurs Divine, and I have to recommend Monika within this review as well. She is knowledgeable, professional and makes your vision (and Pinterest board) a reality unlike anything you could believe. I honestly wasn’t necessarily hyped over flowers, but the designs she created will remain one my favorite memories from my wedding day. To any future bride considering DCI, do yourself the biggest favor and book it.

About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
