About this venue

The Haight is a wedding and event venue located in Elgin, IL and is enveloped by a historic neighborhood, for a romantic and storied setting for your wedding. This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Brick walls and hardwood flooring accent exposed ductwork. There are multiple spaces for hosting your ceremony, reception, and many other wedding-related gatherings. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. The second floor features 7,000 square feet of space. 250 people seated or 200 people seated with a dance floor can fit in this event area. You can also take your celebrations outside on the spacious rooftop deck.

The Haight was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Lauren, our coordinator, was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and detail-oriented throughout the planning process, making it stress-free for us. On the big day itself, Lauren handled everything seamlessly behind the scenes - if any issues came up, we were blissfully unaware thanks to her proactive approach. The venue itself is unique, clean, and simply beautiful. From the charming exposed brick to the giant windows flooding the space with natural light, The Haight provided a warm, romantic backdrop for our nuptials. Combined with Lauren's coordination, their team delivered a flawless event beyond our wildest dreams. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind venue with wonderful personal service, The Haight exceeds expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend them for your special day!

We had been eyeing The Haight long before we were engaged. The venue itself is beautiful. We received SO many compliments about the entire team from our AMAZING coordinator, Melissa, the security officers, the bar, and to the design coordinator, Bree. The Haight includes a coordinator that not only helps you with your wedding day, but throughout the entire process. Melissa kept me at ease. She knew exactly what she was doing, she was flexible, understanding and kind. The Haight made going home so easy, with packing up all our belongings. We cannot recommend The Haight, and especially, Melissa. You made our day so amazing. 3

The absolute best venue! When Kyle and I first looked at The Haight we knew it was the perfect venue for us! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredible for the venue and The Bar! We worked with Bree and Lauren! We attended some of the Open House events they held and that helped tremendously with planning our wedding! My family and friends keep saying how impressed they were with the venue and the staff!! We couldn’t of asked for a better day! We highly recommend The Haight for your wedding!

Yes. We have three (3) custom made farmhouse style tables which comfortably seat 14-16 people, twelve (12) 8' tables, and eighteen (18) 60’’ round tables which each up to 9 people. We have enough tables and chairs to seat 200.

Yes! The deck space is included for all peak-season events. Non-peak season may utilize it for a fee.

Yes! There is a discount for December through April weddings.

A non-refundable 1/3 deposit is required along with the signed contract to secure your space. The second 1/3 is due 6 months prior to your event & the remaining 1/3 is due 60 days before your event.

Yes. Decorations may not be stapled, nailed, glued, or taped to any surfaces, please don’t hurt our pretty building. No loose glitter, confetti, birdseed, rice or real flame candles. Flameless candles only (we are mostly made of wood, after all).

We recommend you hire a caterer on our list to avoid a fee and they must be approved. All other vendors are open and you may choose whomever you’d like.
