Jay & Nicole Vega decided to pursue a career together in the art of Photography. Met & married in Chicago in 2013, two people set out on a business venture of a lifetime. While Nicole is the main photographer of the company, we have also expanded and hired reliable, talented photographers to work along side with us, while still maintaining a small business feel.

We feel we are more affordable than most other photographers in the Chicagoland area and can provide high end quality service. Our photos have an artistic style all while helping you enjoy your wedding day and not taking TOO much time spent on photos.

The Still Life Photography worked closely with us to ensure they captured the spirit of our day, providing prompt communication for all our questions and collaborating seamlessly with other vendors to keep the timeline on track. Isabel went above and beyond on our wedding day. Her positivity, direction, and friendliness made her an integral part of our celebration. Both she and Jessica were a joy to be around, bringing a sense of calm to our wedding party. I still smile thinking about how Isabel, on the moving trolley, pinned the boutonnieres to the ten groomsmen without being asked. She helped keep us on schedule and coordinated with other vendors to capture every moment of our day. They knew the perfect spots and angles to capture the best light and scenery. Even though my fiancé and I are not naturals in front of the camera, Isabel made us feel comfortable and at ease. We are beyond pleased with our photos and receive compliments from family and friends. Isabel provided just enough direction to guide us, while still capturing the candid emotions of the day. We look forward to working with Isabel to capture future life moments.

From the moment I inquired, The Still Life Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with. Even though Nicole, the lead photographer, was based in a different time zone, her communication was best-in-class. She was incredibly responsive and helpful every step of the way, from our initial conversations to the delivery of our stunning photo gallery. Nicole's work was absolutely breathtaking, and I still fawn over my pictures every time I look at them! She was truly so amazing and went above and beyond to capture all the special moments of our wedding day. I cannot recommend The Still Life Photography highly enough - they were an integral part of making our wedding day perfect.

I had such a wonderful experience working with Nicole on a client’s wedding. She was very communicative both leading up to and during the event and was mindful of the timeline on the day-of to help everything continue to run smoothly. Nicole took beautiful detail shots of the space and created such a fun environment while taking photos for the wedding party. Great photographer to work with and made my life as a planner much easier knowing she was so well organized and proactively communicated with me throughout the day!

Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. Photographers usually book shortly after the couple books the venue, so we are just as filled up as they are usually.

Yes! We have assistants available for larger weddings (mainly huge wedding parties over 30 people) and 2 other photographers. We have second shooters who have shot weddings solo before as well and are very talented!

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. We do NOT outsource, so your images will never leave the hands of The Still Life Photography.

No, not at this time. We specialize in photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. We do have recommendations we can offer and videographers we have worked with many times!

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. However, we offer a 1 week sneak peek to hold you over!

You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. Most couples with a full day packages see well over 1000 images.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them. We are happy to supply you with a copy as well.

In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted 1st or 2nd shooters. We have quite the dedicated team and have you covered!
