Second Song is a boutique Wedding and Event DJ/MC service. We are a network of some of the most experienced and most referred DJ/MCs in Southern California, and specialize in DJs that focus on providing you with a complete music and planning experience.

Awarded Best of Zola
Choosing second song as our DJ service for our wedding was the best decision we could have made!! The team is so accommodating and made the process of choosing our DJ so easy. After choosing second song, they allowed us to set up phone calls to interview DJ's to find the perfect fit for us. We ended up choosing DJ Daniel Cabral. Daniel was attentive and set up multiple meetings with us prior to our wedding to discuss our vision for our wedding day. Everything ran perfectly throughout the entire day. The audio for our ceremony was perfect and the music selections throughout cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception set the mood for our wedding. We also hired a string trio through second song and they did a beautiful job at our ceremony and cocktail hour. Our reception was a party and Daniel made sure people were on the dance floor all night long. We also had my cousin play the trumpet at our reception while Daniel played a song in the background. Daniel mic'd up his trumpet for us and it was such a hit! We also got our Photo Booth through second song and they provided the uplighting at the venue! They are everything you could want from a DJ service and more!! If you are looking for a DJ service, second song is the way to go!!!!

Randall de Leon Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

We’ve been lucky to know and work with Randall for a few years. When we finally decided to make things “official” we knew we wanted someone that does great work, that we trust, and would make us feel comfortable. We wanted our day to feel like a relaxed family event and Randall helped with that and so much more. He suggested possible locations that would meet our dream event and times to maximize the best lighting for the area. Once we settled on the location and date, he maintained excellent communication in preparation to the event to properly flesh out the day’s timetable, day of logistics, and post. On the day of our wedding he expertly directed us and our families, using the natural lighting to capture the perfect shots. We would have been lost without him, especially since no one knew how to assist with bustling my dress. During our dinner reception he seamlessly directed restaurant staff to assist in transitioning between meals/dessert/toast for more amazing shots. After the wedding he kept us updated on next steps for our pictures. Randall is truly a gem and I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone special to capture their day.

Can't say enough about the quality of James's work, his attention to detail, his professionalism, and curating the best dance party experience at our wedding!! From start to finish he was extremely prepared and provided us with all the materials needed to organize the music and run of show. As both DJ and MC, James truly went the extra mile to make our day run seamlessly, and made us feel so special. He was even accommodating to our last minute music requests and was very patient with us. In addition to being extremely professional, prepared, and organized, he is such a down-to-earth and kind, genuine person. He even captured some videos of our first dance and grand entrance that we wouldn't have had otherwise because we didn't have a videographer. This was so thoughtful and truly above and beyond! We personally added on the photo booth option and are glad we did, as it was a hit. His rates were very reasonable as well especially for the package we got. Everyone raved about James and the music. He made our wedding day exactly the party we hoped for - the most fun we've ever had! Highly recommend James & All The Above Events for your next wedding or big event.

Gabriella and Claudio Cakes were an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. Gabriella was easy to communicate and work with - I showed her the cake that I wanted and she was able to execute my vision perfectly. She is very professional, and the desserts and cakes were delicious with a quality like from a Parisian bakery! My guests loved the cake and desserts. I had so many people asking me where I got my cake from. Claudio Cakes also went above and beyond, coming to my house to do a cake tasting which was super convenient. I’m Adam—a Boston native who’s now roaming around California photographing everything I see. When I’m not behind the camera you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, sipping a dirty martini with friends, jamming to Taylor Swift in the car, or taking my rescue pup Ollie to the park or on long neighborhood walks. I got my first film camera when I was 8, and it was love at first sight. Capturing your story is more than just a job for me. From destination elopements to parties of the century, I've seen it all and love every minute of a wedding day.

My husband and I were beyond lucky to have Adam as our wedding photographer this past September. Not only did he give us the gift of the most beautiful photos I've ever seen, but he was also such a joy to be around. He makes you feel comfortable during the whole experience and even played me a Taylor Swift themed playlist during our engagement photos!! What more could I ask for!! I will forever recommend Adam to everyone I know. He's truly is the best out there!

I hired Dream Co. for day-of wedding coordination. I'm so glad I did! Chelsea was assigned as the main coordinator on our wedding day. She was professional, timely, and extremely organized. She met with me and my partner a few times before the big day, and her friendly sense of professionalism set my mind at ease. I paid for the package where I was still involved with vendor communication leading up to the wedding, but it was nice having Chelsea there for support in the month leading up to the event. Plus, the package pricing was reasonable compared to other vendor quotes I received. On the day of, Chelsea kept everything running smoothly and on time. Our wedding day was a ton of fun, mostly thanks to Chelsea and Natasha's hard work. If you're on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator, DO IT. Dream Co.'s services will save you a ton of stress and let you enjoy your wedding day to the fullest.

I truly can’t say enough amazing things about Carissa and her team at Positively Charming Weddings. She was the very first vendor I hired for my wedding, a year and a half in advance. Within the first 2 minutes of chatting with Carissa the first time, I knew we were the perfect match. She is incredibly organized, compassionate, an amazing listener, and isn’t afraid to take the lead and make decisions when necessary. She is thoughtful, calm, has a wealth of wedding industry knowledge and was able to provide personalized suggestions based on my preferences at every turn. To be honest, I was originally super nervous and anxious to hire a wedding planner, as I am a very type A person because of my job as a programs and event planner. But Carissa exceeded all expectations and truly was able to allow me to relax and enjoy my wedding weekend without a worry in the world. She was a problem solver every step of the way. For example, she offered to manually fixed my seating chart the day before the wedding and found a print shop willingly to print very specific last minute signage (both things that were my fault that they were delayed/wrong). She kept not only me, but my husband and both families on track leading up to the wedding, provided monthly checklists, was available via phone and email for my questions, and even provided bridal party itineraries the weekend of. Her and her team were incredibly easy to work with, and our other vendors and bridal party members said the exact same thing. She can work with anyone, with any personality type, and makes you feel important and heard. If you want someone to go above and beyond for you, look no further! She will make your day everything YOU want it to be. Couldn’t recommend her and her team more…I walked away with a new friend!

My focus is quality. I take my job seriously and I hope that I can make you happy so that you’ll consider me for your next event, and any event thereafter. Checkout my LinkTree for upcoming events, more reviews, and to visit my instagram. I am the Resident DJ for Première Los Angeles (premierelosangeles on IG). Let's team up and create memories! It is important for me to articulate, that I serve ALL PEOPLE EQUITABLY!! However, I do want to note that I do require that the couple has a Day of Coordinator (not the venue person). Otherwise, I will also charge for coordination services as that puts the burden of day of logistics on the DJ.

Awarded Best of Zola
DJ Trey is THE BEST DJ!!! I wish we had even more time on the dance floor to keep letting him mix because he’s a genuinely fantastic DJ! Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!

Xenia Park is a photography and videography company based in Los Angeles. Every couple, with their distinctive love story, transforms into a canvas where we paint with the play of light and shadow. It extends beyond the grandeur of photographing pivotal moments like vows, rings, and the first dance; it encompasses the art of capturing nuanced glances, shared laughter, and the silent connection that elevates an ordinary day into an extraordinary celebration of love. Published in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are incredibly grateful Xenia was our engagement/wedding photographer and couldn't be happier with the results! The photos will speak to her technical talent; her professionalism and dedication to her craft are evident in every shot. It was so hard for me to only select 6 photos. What the images don't explicitly show is that Xenia was an absolute joy to work with. She is clear, transparent, and helpful in her communication. Her straightforward and friendly communication ensured we were always on the same page and felt supported throughout the process. While shooting, she is organized and efficient. We got every shot we hoped for and then some. Her enthusiasm and joy were infectious. She made these two awkward nerds feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. We cannot recommend Xenia enough! We will cherish the photos you took forever!

I love my job because even though the day goes by fast, I get to find and capture those small moments, sometimes just a fraction of a second long, so they can be relived over and over in photographs. I have a photojournalistic and editorial style, plus 9 years of wedding experience under my belt, so trust me that I've got it while you are able to fully enjoy your day and be present.

On the day of the wedding, she was very laid back and intuitive, seamlessly capturing all the special moments without us even noticing she was there. Holly's expertise and talent were evident in the stunning photos she delivered - we were blown away by how beautifully she documented our day. We loved working with Holly so much that we've continued to use her for our yearly family photos ever since, and wouldn't want anyone else to capture these memories for us.

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the privilege of having Stephen photograph our entire wedding day! We could not be more happier with how the entire day was documented. Photography was one of the top vendors we prioritized our budget for. Each photo came out so great and I'm having a great time sharing them with family and friends. Stephen has wonderful communication, organization, and photography talents! - Planning: I found Stephen from Instagram and it so happened that he had worked with both our coordinator and venue previously. What attracted me first from his profile was his lighting/editing style - not too much overly exposed or brighten or romanticized photos. We not only preferred a more realistic color in our photos, but knew that our venue may not accommodate that bright style due to it being mainly indoors. Stephen took the initiative to set up a first meeting as well. We appreciated this as I know it's important for photographers and their clients to have good chemistry. We appreciated how straight forward Stephen was and how much his passion for capturing raw moments showed. It was clear that he shows that he likes to have fun while taking photographs and trying all kinds of ways of shooting, which was definitely demonstrated on the day of. Stephen was very organized and punctual from contracts to scheduling to communication. - Day of: Stephen was great during the wedding day! He was organized and made his own schedule with our coordinator's to be sure to get all requested and desired shots in during the day. He came so prepared with so many different poses in mind that there was never a moments where us and the wedding party never felt awkward or anything! Taking photos was fun and a very smooth and memorable process. I had the most fun taking pictures with my girls. I loved all the photos of the family, guests, and dancing as well. Stephen even took some time out during dancing to get some cool couple shots at night. I appreciated the film shots as well. Stephen took authority throughout the day and was so kind and accommodating. - Post-wedding: Stephen edits so quickly!! We got sneak peaks within a couple days. I wasn't sure how long all the photos would take and a few friends were saying theirs took 2-3 months! However, Stephen got an entire day's worth of photos to us in one month!!! He got the guest and family shots down, couple and bridal party shots captured, and perfect couple shots as well. I love all the lighting and color editing. He captured great candid moments as well. We have been staring at them ever since receiving them! Thank you so much Stephen for providing these photos for us! They are something we will remember our special day by! It was great working with you!

We had the pleasure of having The Moon Units perform at our wedding, and they were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed working with Dylan, he was incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout the entire process. From the initial planning stages to our big day, Dylan and the band were very professional, helping us sort out all the specific details well in advance. One of the highlights was when they specially learned a song for our first dance. It was such a personal touch that made the moment unforgettable. They also performed a beautiful acoustic rendition of "Can't Help Falling in Love" for our ceremony, which was perfect. They kept the energy high and the good vibes all night long. They curated a great set list for us and played a wonderful mix of oldies, classic rock hits, and modern pop that we and our guests loved. We can't recommend The Moon Units enough. They made our wedding night super fun and memorable. Check out their youtube/instagram and see for yourself why you should book them. We are high end Wedding professionals who value curating one of kind event experiences that reflect our couples love. InGobo Events' home base is in Southern California and our connections reach all over the nation and abroad.

I met Christina at a Bridal Expo and was amazed with the offered Day Of Coordination package. I was able to easily communicate my priorities on the special day and even share my wedding pet peeves to avoid. Christina was excellent at brainstorming ideas and suggested plenty of ways to approach a situation. When we worked on building the timeline together, she was very thorough and insightful. I sent her so many timeline revisions (as timing means EVERYTHING and it definitely matters), but Christina took them and made it look seamless. On the wedding day, Christina and her team (thank you Heather and Leanna!) made sure we were happy and stress-free. Our morning started with Heather running the errands of the busy morning and was the go-to person for myself and the wedding entourage. Heather was also able to help us create a floral bouquet we used for our ceremony offering. It turned out so beautiful! She did a terrific job. I was always reminded to take a bite of food and to stay hydrated while we were getting ready. Christina helped us execute the ribbon wand exit after our church ceremony. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. Everyone had so much fun doing it. As for the reception, Ingobo was able to help set the table decorations- centerpieces, candles, name cards, order of guests, etc. Leanna was at our side making sure we were well-fed and no one pulled us away from the sweetheart table. She was able to give us reminders of the timeline and was very sweet. Overall, Christina and her team orchestrated our wedding day perfectly. We received many compliments from our guests stating they noticed how smooth the day went. Ingobo's Day of Coordination services made a huge impact on how we were able to enjoy our special day. My husband and I are truly grateful for hiring them as part of our wedding team.

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

She saved me from having multiple meltdowns and for that, I’ll be forever grateful. Simply put, Trang is the best. You definitely will not regret choosing her as your day of coordinator!

I am so glad that I found Akiko Foral Design. I contacted Akiko just 2 weeks before my intimate wedding, I let her know exactly what I needed (3 bouquets, 4 boutonnieres, and 3 corsages), and we chatted back and forth via email. I sent her pictures of flowers and bouquet styles I liked and she was able to recommend the flowers that were in season. The day of, when she hand-delivered the flowers, "WOW" was what everyone said. I mean, it was exactly how I envisioned it and Akiko nailed it! I absolutely loved my bouquet. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Akiko was amazing to work with- she understood my vision, easy to talk to, quick to respond, and her prices are more than fair. I highly recommend her services!

Dart Collective

  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

Started as a group of DJs in 2013, Dart Collective has now grown to include numerous live musicians and performers, all with the same simple goal of offering a more customized and personal approach to music curation at weddings and special events. Dart has also grown geographically, serving Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin based clients locally, and destination clients all over the world. At Dart, we are all working DJs and musicians. Music is our passion and we want to share it with you and your guests. Our main goal here is to elevate and personalize your event so that it uniquely represents you.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were SO picky about our DJ. We know that good music has the power to either elevate (or ruin) an event. We were super nervous but Dart Collective was the answer we needed. The benefit of booking through them is you're able to fill out a "Music Map" where you answer questions like "What is a MUST PLAY"? or "What artist(s) to avoid?" It's rather extensive (took us about 2-3hrs to complete). BUT - totally worth it. Through this map, they pair you with an available DJ, in your area, that has the experience the same music taste as you. It's a pretty great formula. We were nervous for the months leading up because we just weren't sure if they were going to match us properly. But, they definitely exceeded our expectations. Our only complaint is that it was SO GOOD that we wanted more, lol! Book! You won't regret it.

Grand Entrance Affairs

Grand Entrance Affairs is a wedding-planning business located in Los Angeles, CA. Owner and lead planner, Ingrid, has 13+ years of industry experience and connections and a great passion for helping people celebrate their cherished milestone moments. She is a big "people person" and thrives on the excitement and energy that comes with planning weddings and other special events. Ingrid’s ultimate goal for each client is to create an event they can be fully present to enjoy with their nearest and dearest. From the initial design to the day-of delivery, she and her team are dedicated to creating the wedding of your dreams—piece by piece.

I was almost not going to choose Ingrid as a wedding coordinator and that would have been one of my biggest regrets as a bride for my wedding. I actually had already put a small deposit down for another wedding coordinator, but once I met Ingrid, she stole my heart. She was my calm to my storm, my ying to my yang, my Robin to my Batman…etc Ingrid is not only an amazing wedding coordinator, but she is also an amazing wedding officiant. She took our love story and crazy ceremony ideas (such as taking a shot with us along with our guests before we sealed the deal or taping our ring box underneath one of the chairs for a surprise ring bearer) and created the ceremony of our dreams. To hear from multiple guests that it was the best ceremony they attended was the best compliment we could receive because the ceremony is the most important part of a wedding. It was my favorite part of my wedding. Then she can amazingly switch gears from officiant to wedding coordinator and rock that too. She can do it all (literally). I always have other couples tell us that their wedding day goes by very fast and they didn’t really get to enjoy all the little things. However, my husband and I felt like our special day did not go by so fast and we most definitely got to enjoy the little things mainly because Ingrid took care of everything behind the scenes that no one sees. She created an amazing timeline for us, took charge of our vendors, made sure we were right on schedule with everything, was super communicative along the way… the list goes on and on. She is everything you would want in a wedding coordinator. I am very sad I won’t get to work with her anymore unless I get married again lol, but I would recommend her to anyone I know and hopefully get to see her in action again.

Jordan was nothing short of perfect through our entire time discussing and planning our wedding. My wife and I are planners. We asked a lot of questions. Honestly, we were probably a little annoying and Jordan treated us kindly throughout, made us feel taken care of through the entire planning process for the bar for our wedding and then her bartenders were incredibly kind, nice, quick, and really enhanced the party. Everyone was happy. We will certainly recommend them to all and use them again down the road!

My name is Zyaire Porter and I am the photographer of Porterhouse LA Weddings. Born & raised in Los Angeles, I have been capturing weddings professionally since 2013. I have been #TeamNikon since the beginning and currently shoot with the Z9 + Z7. I answer every email myself (no bots or assistants).

Awarded Best of Zola
Porterhouse LA did a fantastic job photographing our wedding. Zyaire was artistic, punctual, and precise. We received our photos very quickly after the wedding, and are absolutely in love with them. We’ll treasure these for the rest of our lives, and have had so much joy from sharing them with others. The comments we’ve received have all been about how beautiful the wedding looked, how good everyone looked, and how gorgeous the photos were overall, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Zyaire met with us over Zoom twice before the actual wedding, and took every one of our concerns and questions seriously. He had a good answer to everything, and it convinced us that we were dealing with a consummate professional. We also asked him to shoot our welcome party for guests, and he was able to oblige with that, as well. We first met him in person for the welcome party, and he was already there when we arrived, getting background shots of the venue. This was something we hadn’t even considered, but it was really valuable - having shots of the venue, and the venue for our wedding, helped put the other photos in context for people who weren’t able to attend, and gave us mementos of the locations themselves.

Jess is a wedding photographer serving couples from Los Angeles to New York City. She specializes in documenting moments with honesty and optimism to showcase her couples’ love for each other, love for their people and their love for a damn good time. “My work is bold, enduring, and honest.” With more than a decade of experience as a photographer and a background in fine art and film photography, Jess approaches each wedding with intention and a sense of novelty. She works in both digital and film mediums and her work has been featured in publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Destination I Do and Brides.

Awarded Best of Zola
Since receiving our wedding photos from Jess, several of my friends and family members (including 2 professional photographers!) have asked me for her contact info because of how amazing her photos are!! When we started looking for a wedding photographer, we knew that we needed to find someone with a great eye for candids, who wouldn't make our pictures feel too staged, who had a fun/funky vibe like us, and who could handle wrangling my extremely large family (full of very opinionated people) for family photos, and Jess handled everything with ease! I feel so lucky that we found Jess, and I cannot recommend her more. Jess made everyone feel comfortable throughout the entire wedding day, and even gave guidance to family members who are normally awkward in photos (e.g. suggesting ways to pose to make them more comfortable). Jess went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process, checking in with us, getting to know us, and even coming to a venue walkthrough so she could get a sense of the space! I am so grateful for all of the work Jess put into our wedding, and the photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I rarely even like photos of myself, but I honestly am so in love with the ones that Jess took that I jump on every opportunity to whip out my phone and share them with friends!

Photography is my creative dream come true and it is so incredibly special to be able to capture memories that other people will love and cherish for many, many years. Around high school, I found out for myself how important these memories were. Not just the ones I was creating currently but the ones that I couldn’t get back. I would look back on these photos and think, "I remember how happy I was that day." "Aww, my little brother was so tiny then!" Or even, "What was I thinking when I wore that outfit??" These little snippets of time carried such a significance for me that I wanted other people to feel that way about their memories, too.

Amanda is AMAZING! She is so sweet and fun. My husband and I are no models, but she helped our quirky selves relax, pose, and take beautiful photos. From the engagement session at the beach with our surfboards to our pandemic mini-money. She really knows what she is doing and we are so thankful she has been with us to document our most special day. :}
