Hi, we're The Moon Units! We're known throughout California for our 650+ song list, our authentic on-stage chemistry, and performances that clients have called "better than the original bands" that recorded the songs. And because we're a real band, we offer prices that are just a fraction of what corporate booking agencies charge. We can't wait to play for you!

Five things set The Moon Units apart from other wedding bands. 1. Versatility: We know over 650 songs in all sorts of genres, and add new ones all the time. 2. Talent: Our players and singers hail from top music programs like Berklee College of Music, UCLA, and CalArts. 3. Authenticity: Ever go to a wedding and think the band was so ridiculously cheesy? Not The Moon Units! We're as authentic as a band you'd see in live club or theater. 4. Fun: How does fronting the band during live band karaoke sound? You can do it! It's available with all our packages. 5. Respect: We treat our clients with respect and never slap them with hidden fees.

    Other than my husband (obviously), The Moon Units were the single greatest thing about my wedding. This band is so immensely talented, and their versatility is beyond anything I’ve seen from any band ever. We wanted a really wide range of styles including jazz standards, old school R&B, yacht rock, and cool 90s stuff like Radiohead and Veruca Salt. They slayed on absolutely everything. The horns!!! Leading up to the wedding, Dylan made the planning process extremely easy. He’s very organized and responsible, and he made certain that everything would comply with our venue, which was new to hosting weddings. Best of all, he really listened to us and never tried to push anything that we didn’t want. The prices were completely fair, and we felt we got a ton of value for what we paid. There is literally nothing I would change about The Moon Units. They are a dream band, and I cannot recommend them enough!

    We were absolutely delighted to have The Moon Units play our wedding at The Carondelet House on 11/16. They were the highlight of the night, and our friends continue to rave about their performance. We could not be happier with our choice. From the moment we heard them soundchecking the songs they learned specifically for our event, we knew we were in for a good night. The band sounds amazing, their song list is super eclectic, and Dylan was a pleasure to work with. Would hire them again in a heartbeat!

    When I say that Dylan and the Moon Units MADE our wedding, I am not exaggerating. They not only delivered, the exceeded our already high expectations in every way possible. Music was extremely important for my husband and me, and we knew immediately that we wanted a live band to elevate the evening. We found Dylan and the Moon Units' information online, and after finding that they were very within our budget we reached out and Dylan invited us to one of their gigs in Hollywood. We loved their vibe and booked them. We asked Dylan to play both our ceremony and our reception, as well as play preset playlists for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour. Now, I must admit, because music was so important for my husband and my special day, we had *very* specific ideas for what we wanted. Dylan was extremely communicative, answering all of my extremely needy and detailed emails in a timely manner and doing everything he could to reassure me that we were in good hands. We made selections from the list of songs they knew, and also asked them to learn about 10 new songs for us, ranging from unique arrangements of existing songs to deep cuts from 90's movies. Dylan's communication was warm, expeditious, and professional, and I felt really well taken care of. At our wedding, though, is where they exceeded our expectations. The live music they played was amazing, and set the tone for our wedding in the exact way we were hoping for. At the reception, they kept the energy up with a perfectly curated playlist of our requests (and we had quite a lot!) songs they knew would keep the party going. Their song choices appealed to the older crowd as well as the Millennial crowd. Dylan even help me set up a surprise performance for my husband, where I sang one of this favorite songs ("Go Cubs Go") with the backing of the Moon Units band. It was an incredibly special moment. And creating special moments was what Dylan and the Moon Units did best. Somehow, they managed to keep the dance floor packed the entire evening. Months after our wedding, our guests have continuously called out Dylan and the Moon Units as an absolute highlight of our wedding, saying that it was musically one of the best weddings they have ever been to. All-in-all, I cannot recommend Dylan and the Moon Units enough. As someone who was VERY specific about the music at my wedding, they exceeded all of our expectations. Book them for your wedding ASAP - you will not be disappointed.
