My husband and I have hired chef David a couple times before our wedding ceremony, July 2nd, 2022. We knew we wanted specialty foods and great food and we knew David and Molly would deliver, no questions asked! The food was a variety of appetizers and desserts, and the team knocked it our of the park! The celebration would not have been so wonderful without all the delicious foods they made for us, crispy Brussels sprout boats, mini quiche, homemade meatballs, mini sausage rolls, and my favorite, the Moroccan lamb burgers!!!!!! And not to mention the desserts, fairy cakes, profiteroles, yummy!!!! And so much more!!!! Their hard work, dedication, efficiency and a great eye for details... we will definitely hire them again and again, worth every penny!!!! We love you David and Molly and thank you for being apart of our special day!!!!!

Can I give more than 5 stars?! Seth, by far, was the best decision we made with our wedding planning. We were really picky about our DJ/Emcee. My husband and I love to dance and having the perfect atmosphere accompanied by music was of utmost importance. Seth exceeded all of our expectations. He has the most amazing setlist that perfectly matches the energy we wanted to portray. He is easy to work with and works directly alongside you to ensure your vision comes to life. Our dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night - from start to finish. People of all backgrounds and generations had an absolute blast, from our youngest 6-month-old guest to our 97-year-old grandmother. Seth reads the room incredibly well. He knew exactly when to cut a song a little shorter and when to let songs play out. As an emcee, he is articulate and captivating, without being too over the top as you see with some DJs. He saw his role as the facilitator of the evening and that is exactly what he did.  In addition to his DJ services, we booked Seth's photobooth which was a BLAST. The quality of the photos was amazing. At the end of the night, the photobooth attendant noticed that my husband and I never got a photo just me and him in the booth - so he quickly pulled us aside before packing up to make that happen. The whole team truly went above and beyond. We felt so heard, validated, and loved by them in this process. I can say with absolute certainty our wedding day would not have been as amazing as it was without Seth and his team.

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. Randall was recommended by our videographer (Call it Captivation Films, who we recommend). We really enjoyed his gallery and how natural his photos looked. We spoke to a few other photographers before him, but during our 1st video meeting he vibed well with us; he and I are both Fil-Am with history of working with pediatric patients (he as a PTA, me as a RN), and he and my husband shared a love for the same teams (Dodgers and Lakers). We were quick to book him after our meeting and are extremely happy with our decision to work with him! The photography packages he offers and his prices are amazing. Randall was great with communication and with providing us with recommendations (ie what to bring for flat lay, helping us pose, etc) prior to and day of the wedding. He did a site tour of our venue where we got to meet him and his kids in person. Prior to the ceremony, Randall worked with me, while the 2nd photographer worked with my husband. My husband said that the 2nd photographer fitted in well like one of the boys. He gave us a preview of the photos 1 week after our wedding and the full gallery of our wedding about 8-9 weeks after our wedding. We are so happy with all the photos! They are so beautiful and timeless, and they captured the essence of our wedding so well. **If you're looking for a photographer, Randall is your guy! I did the research for you :) Book him now! **

I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. Can't say enough about the quality of James's work, his attention to detail, his professionalism, and curating the best dance party experience at our wedding!! From start to finish he was extremely prepared and provided us with all the materials needed to organize the music and run of show. As both DJ and MC, James truly went the extra mile to make our day run seamlessly, and made us feel so special. He was even accommodating to our last minute music requests and was very patient with us. In addition to being extremely professional, prepared, and organized, he is such a down-to-earth and kind, genuine person. He even captured some videos of our first dance and grand entrance that we wouldn't have had otherwise because we didn't have a videographer. This was so thoughtful and truly above and beyond! My husband and I knew it would be an important task hiring a photo/videographer for our wedding. There’s SO many options and styles out there that it’s also daunting to commit to one. We found Cruzio Studios on The Knot and we are incredibly grateful we did. We were drawn to their journalistic style of capturing love between partners: intimate, natural (doesn’t look too posed), synergizes with the location, delicate, and sweet. After having phone calls with other vendors, we were most excited to work with Cruzio. Not only do they have an amazing portfolio (easily accessible on their beautiful website), but they have great packages to offer their clients. Our package came with an engagement shoot and the results were mind-blowing. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but my partner & I don’t show a lot of PDA and the Cruzio team captured our love so sweetly. When we got the photos and video short, we kept on saying, “That’s us!!” Given their portfolio, we trusted their expertise and artistic eye. Not only were they kind while providing clear directions and great ideas, but they’ll do their best to get the optimal shot. They’re immensely generous with their talents considering all the thought and detail they put into their product. Also, they’re really easy to talk to. We felt like we were just hanging out with friends who are very talented photo/videographers! Cruzio Studios definitely did not disappoint on our wedding day. I’m definitely a planner, so I had a list of group photos we wanted for our wedding day. The Cruzio team had that list with them and ensured we got the shots. They are so professional and stuck to our wedding day timeline with such grace. And although our venue spaces weren’t the biggest, they adapted. To that, my husband & I never felt like they were ever in the way or super noticeable. And, of course, their final products are amazing. They captured the excitement leading up our first look & ceremony and joyous celebration during the reception. Also, the romantics are simply so pretty and caught our love perfectly. It’s so lovely to look back at our special day through their talents and lenses. We consider ourselves fortunate to have had them in our wedding dream team. Can’t overstate what an incredible experience we had with the Oviatt. Not only was the venue perfect for wedding, but the staff truly made the entire planning and day-of experience so smooth and welcoming. The space is gorgeous and one-of-a-kind - we didn’t have to decorate at all, there were so many little spaces and pockets guests to explore and mingle in, all the original art deco decor and furnishings were so cool. We didn’t have to add anything (but could have brought in outside rentals and vendors if we wanted) - the venue rental includes seating for the ceremony and reception, the rooftop lounge was fully furnished was lounge furniture, the terrace is already decorated with bistro lighting, twinkle lights and ivy walls, and there is lounge seating throughout the indoor space. Also included were cocktail tables, easels for signage, tables for our buffet set up. All of these things at other venues we looked at were either additional costs or we’d have to bring in additional vendors to supply. What really made the experience though was the Oviatt staff - Lindsey and Gabe are both so friendly, approachable, welcoming and supportive. Other venues we looked at were all business, had a “take it or leave it” vibe and kind of made us feel like we should be grateful for even to be given the chance to have an event there; Lindsey and Gabe were the exact opposite - they weren’t just trying to rent out a space, they were helping us host our wedding and doing everything they could to make sure our plans were realized. They provided us with so much information beyond what was required of them - they had a whole packet with a suggested timeline for planning, a Planning Pod tool that enabled us to track our vendors and plan out our floorplans and seating charts, lists of vendors we needed to consider and decisions we needed to make. Gabe had an actual meeting with us to discuss what we were looking for in a venue and our wedding, and have is all of this information we even booked the space. Lindsey followed up with us periodically in the months leading up to the wedding to remind us of what we needed to be taking care of and making sure we were on track. Both of them were always generous with their time answering our many questions and being flexible in accommodating our requests. We felt so supported and cared for throughout the entire process, and felt more like we had friends in our corner than like we were coordinating with a vendor. Truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this team is and how appreciative we are. We looked at practically every venue in the downtown/northeast LA area, and this one not only blew away the competition in what they offered, but it was also the most affordable option! It’s really like having the efficiency of an all-inclusive venue without the restrictions. And of course all of our guests loved it - we are still getting comments on how unique and beautiful the space was, and how much everyone enjoyed having so many different spaces to explore and congregate throughout the evening. Best decision we could have made.

We are incredibly grateful Xenia was our engagement/wedding photographer and couldn't be happier with the results! What the images don't explicitly show is that Xenia was an absolute joy to work with. She is clear, transparent, and helpful in her communication. Hiring Tavi was easily the best thing we could have done for ourselves when we started wedding planning. We really had no idea what we were doing, I was super anxious about everything, and Tavi guided us through it all with grace, expertise, and humor. She helped us figure out what we actually wanted our wedding to look like (a rainbow fruit and vegetable disco party), what was important to us, our budget, our vendors, and most importantly, she kept me from losing my mind (which, let's be honest, is probably the biggest reason you hire a wedding planner, right?). She put together an amazing vendor team that brought our vision to life even more than we could have hoped for. After the wedding, we got so many compliments about how great it was, and how it was the best wedding they'd been to, no exaggeration. You can see it in our photos--everyone had a blast, and we loved every second of it. Our parents were so impressed by how Tavi and her assistant handled everything on the day of--and she'd also had a wedding the day before, so that's saying something. Aladdin Films made our wedding day absolutely enchanting! My cousin got married and used their service, I’ve never seen a more passionate person when she described their service. She was 100% correct. They went above and beyond with customer service and captured our wedding in a way that brings us back to our special day every time we look at our pictures and videos. I don’t know how, because I’m not a photographer, but they’ve managed to shoot the most special and important moments of our wedding day from so many different angles, and each of those photos can be easily put in a frame or on a canvas. That’s what I did actually. It was quite difficult to decide which photo to put on canvas because there were so many of them. We booked them for 8 hours, and they gave us more than 1200 photos, and we were left absolutely speechless. My advice to all couples out there is don’t think twice and book them as soon as you can.

Literally from the first interaction, Trey was thoroughly professional. We knew instantly that we'd be in good hands during the process, and he maintained through the big day. With Trey, we always had clarity over next steps, and we also got as much flexibility as we could ever hope for. We had a slightly unusual (or, unconventional) ceremony in a couple of ways, and Trey handled every request without any issue. Lastly, and most importantly for a DJ, he nailed the music. We were incredibly thrilled with the floral arrangements from Something's Blooming for our wedding! From start to finish, Michelle and her team truly exceeded our expectations. Two years ago, we had the good fortune of meeting her when she did my sister's wedding. It was absolutely stunning so we knew we were in good hands. I appreciated that Michelle took the time to understand our vision and listened to all of our ideas and preferences, while also offering creative suggestions that really enhanced our overall aesthetic. Through the color pallet, the variety of flowers & foliage, fantasy pumpkins, and lanterns, our concept was brought to life. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how gorgeous everything was! Their attention to detail was impeccable — from the intricately crafted pocket square for the groom and ring bearer to the lush arrangements at the altar. Everything was perfect. We were deeply appreciative of how seamless the delivery, ceremony setup, and transition to reception went. It felt like magic seeing it all come to life. Both my husband and I work in the entertainment industry ourselves and we know how much work goes into weddings. Knowing we had professionals handling this part of the process allowed us to sit back and enjoy the day. I truly can’t say enough amazing things about Carissa and her team at Positively Charming Weddings. She was the very first vendor I hired for my wedding, a year and a half in advance. Within the first 2 minutes of chatting with Carissa the first time, I knew we were the perfect match. She is incredibly organized, compassionate, an amazing listener, and isn’t afraid to take the lead and make decisions when necessary. She is thoughtful, calm, has a wealth of wedding industry knowledge and was able to provide personalized suggestions based on my preferences at every turn. To be honest, I was originally super nervous and anxious to hire a wedding planner, as I am a very type A person because of my job as a programs and event planner. But Carissa exceeded all expectations and truly was able to allow me to relax and enjoy my wedding weekend without a worry in the world. She was a problem solver every step of the way. For example, she offered to manually fixed my seating chart the day before the wedding and found a print shop willingly to print very specific last minute signage (both things that were my fault that they were delayed/wrong). She kept not only me, but my husband and both families on track leading up to the wedding, provided monthly checklists, was available via phone and email for my questions, and even provided bridal party itineraries the weekend of. Her and her team were incredibly easy to work with, and our other vendors and bridal party members said the exact same thing. She can work with anyone, with any personality type, and makes you feel important and heard. If you want someone to go above and beyond for you, look no further! She will make your day everything YOU want it to be. Couldn’t recommend her and her team more…I walked away with a new friend!

Trang assisted with fine tuning of our wedding timeline and day-of coordination. But besides the day of, she was also communicating with vendors & venue coordinators the month of the wedding. I was able to enjoy SO MUCH of the wedding festivities & truly soak in as many moments as I could because I wasn't the one receiving the phone calls or being asked the questions. Trang was readily available and present for our Tea Ceremony (couple days prior) and wedding. She would help behind the scenes by updating respective parties on what was going on elsewhere and ushered guests to their next location to keep our schedule. Before the wedding, we had meetings over Zoom periodically to update her on our progress and create action items. During these meetings, she was a great listener and empathizer. As many brides now, it can be overwhelming and stressful to organize a wedding while balancing other life/work stress. It was nice to have someone see all that and say - I hear you. From start to finish, working with Fatima was an absolute dream. After researching countless photographers online, she was my number one choice! I booked our elopement just three months in advance and was so relieved she was available. Throughout the whole process she was so incredibly kind, professional and thoughtful that, despite our short timeline, we were able to feel at ease. My (now) husband and I are both quite shy in front of the camera and were worried that we might look stiff, but Fatima was able to quell those worries and capture us exactly how we had hoped - in a very natural and organic light. All in all, Fatima went above and beyond for us in so many ways - from setting up a last minute meeting the week before to go over details (and ease my anxiety) to unexpectedly serving as our witness!
