Stephen's style is making candids look very good. I have an issue where I don't "smeyes" (smile with my eyes) and my smile goes flat very easily. He is easy going and gently guides you in the photos so you don't feel forced or uncomfortable. And really, he is able to seamlessly capture you in the moment. I am happy I will be able to cherish those genuine moments he was able to capture for me and my husband. In addition, the standard posed photos were awesome as well. He was organized and straightforward, which I value in a time sensitive event like a wedding. All-in-all A+ for this guy.

Dolores was phenonemal! We had an outdoor wedding reception, and the venue only supplied the tables. Dolores and her crew did an outstanding job in setting up our guest tables, favor tables, cake table, gift table, candy table, and sign in Jenga table. We also had additional favors such as fans, heal savers, dancing shoes (flip flops), pashminas, and she set everything out just as we had envisioned it. If something went wrong, we had the confidence in her to make a decision to fix it, and she did. As weddings go, not everything goes as planned. It was a windy day, and our tall floral centerpieces were tipping over. She sent one of her team to go buy decorative rocks to hopefully stabilize the arrangements, but that didn't work. She then made a decision and rearranged the floral set up and it turned out beautifully. She did an exceptional job in coordinating with the other vendors, and our wedding reception turned out just as we dreamed of thanks to Dolores and her team. She's very easy to work with, she's fun, diligent in her work and when we have another big event, we are definitely hiring her again.

I have worked at the Maxwell House a couple of times, specifically with Reid. He is always professional and clear about the house rules, fees and what exactly is included for an event or wedding. He will bend over backwards for you to try to fullfill your requests. On actual event days, there is an onsite venue coordinator overseeing the venue and is periodcically checking in with the event coordinator. In the times I have worked there, it's been pleasant and organized. There is a very detailed checklist leading up to your event to be sure all is covered and addressed. Highly recommended venue.

We're a Scottish duo living our best lives in Los Angeles! We appreciate unpopular TV shows, all the vegan food, and a good old road trip. But our most favorite thing is our two fur-kids (bunnies!). We are not typical wedding photographers, that is for certain. We go against the usual grain, and that's exactly how we like it to roll. Normal is boring. Well, for us, at least. Not just for the 'wild at heart' and 'free-spirited'. For e v e r y o n e. And we mean it. We don't discriminate. Ever.

We're actually rating The Hendrys one trillion stars out of five because they are "out of this world" amazing photographers and you should stop reading this review and book them ASAP! If you're still reading though, let us break down our perfect experience with them: They were recommended to us by our venue (Valentine DTLA) and we fell in LOVE with them as soon as we saw their website! Their portfolio and "about me" won us over because we were looking for wedding photographers who could capture the in-between moments, do some fun stylized shots, and be just as fun and goofy as we are! We reached out over the website and heard back from them immediately over email. Their super funny, yet professional personality came through and that got us so excited to work with them! They were also open to us asking as many questions as we wanted (especially when it came to the contract), which made us feel even more comfortable! We then got to meet them over ZOOM where we broke down how the day would go, they asked us what kind of pictures we were looking for, and we just got to know each other. We honestly may have become best friends with them as we couldn't stop talking to them about everything and anything for 2 hours. After that, we knew we were gonna be in the best hands, but we could never have ever imagined how perfect they really would be! When it finally came to the wedding day, The Hendrys went above and beyond! They were extremely professional as they kept us on schedule while experimenting with different types of photos (using a Fish Eye Lens, prisms, neon lights, etc.). They knew how to make everything feel super relaxed and fun and just let us do whatever was natural to us no matter what kind of photo it was. While we were losing it over the fact we just got married, The Hendrys just let us take everything in while politely directing us for photos. When we weren't doing staged photos, they were out of sight, but taking stunning photographs of everything that was happening in between. They were like ninjas as they would disappear and then reappear and grab us for the next shoot! It really was so cool! A few weeks after the wedding, we received our photos in record time and they were the COOLEST PHOTOS EVER (which you can see attached to this review)! We cannot thank The Hendrys enough for their hilarious stories, non-stop professionalism, unwavering kindness & selflessness, and being true magicians with their cameras and artistic vision. We couldn't be more grateful for everything that they did and we feel like the luckiest married couple in the world thanks to them! Charmain at Emblem Flowers is such an amazing floral designer and so wonderful to work with! I reached out to Emblem Flowers to create floral arrangements for my wedding reception tables and head table. I already admired Charmain’s gorgeous floral designs on her instagram/website and the way she designs flowers together. I loved how aesthetically beautiful, timeless, unique, modern, natural and artistic her arrangements look. And, I knew I wanted her floral arrangements to be a part of my wedding day & was so happy to get to book with Emblem Flowers. It was so great and helpful to work with Charmain. She has such a wealth of knowledge in flowers and design aesthetics. She provided great designer insights and advice on the floral direction in light of the colors, table layouts, budget, and helped me to figure out the overall look I wanted for the flowers. And, her genuine care for the floral aesthetics and for what I wanted was so reassuring. I felt even more confident, after talking with her, that her floral arrangements would be so beautiful at the reception. And, on the day of my wedding, I was truly blown away to see how breathtakingly beautiful the reception flower arrangements turned out. Charmain exceeded my expectations and her flowers made such a huge impact on the atmosphere of the reception. They brought so much beauty, life, abundance and that romantic charm I wanted for the reception. I could not have been more happy and thankful to have Charmain design the florals for my head table and the reception tables! My only post-wedding regret is not having invested more to have Emblem Flowers also design my wedding bouquet and all the other wedding florals as well. I had a venue package that already included some florals. And, in light of saving money, I went with the venue package florist for my bouquet and some other florals. In hindsight, if I could go back in time, I wished I invested more to have Charmain do all the floral pieces for my wedding. Charmain has such an incredible eye for beauty that is rare to find, and the ways she designs florals is such a work-of-art! I loved having her stunning floral arrangements at my wedding reception. They really made such a huge difference at the wedding reception atmosphere and brought so much beauty and life to the reception. I could not have been more happy with how her florals turned out. I so recommend investing in having amazing and gorgeous work-of-art floral arrangements by Charmain on your wedding day! Her stunning florals are so worth it! I will be admiring her florals in the wedding photos for years to come.

We had a great experience with Second Song! Planning was super easy with the Rob team during the 9ish months leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, DJ Shredy was THE ICON of the night. We had built the playlist for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and he very much followed that our wishes. We really appreciated that because music is a huge part of our relationship. He was also very responsive over email and phone. He had a great personality on the day and was the perfect blend of an MC who was communicative but not overly on top of the mic. During the dance party portion of the evening, he rightfully threw in choices of his own that we hadn't thought of and I am so glad he did. He brought life to the party and we have gotten compliments since our wedding night about how much fun everyone had and how perfect the dance floor was. Seth was the least stressful part of the entire wedding planning process! Great communicator, calm, sweet, helpful and knowledgeable in all types of music. From our first meeting, we immediately trusted him and felt comfortable that he knew what he was doing. A true professional who takes his job seriously. We hired Seth because we read reviews from other mixed race couples who said he blended music from all cultures perfectly. It was important to us that he honor both cultures, while keeping everyone on the dance floor all night. I also had a very specific request for him, that the music be "clean" and free of any disrespectful and derogatory lyrics towards women, and he FULLY embraced that request. I'm not exaggerating when I say that our very diverse crowd stayed on the dance floor ALL NIGHT (me and hubs included). All songs were mixed flawlessly, no awkward pauses in between. What an amazing party, and Seth gets a huge part of that credit. A text message from one of our guests: "I went to a wedding in Lake Arrowhead. It was boring. DJ was no bueno. Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

We’ve been lucky to know and work with Randall for a few years. When we finally decided to make things “official” we knew we wanted someone that does great work, that we trust, and would make us feel comfortable. We wanted our day to feel like a relaxed family event and Randall helped with that and so much more. He suggested possible locations that would meet our dream event and times to maximize the best lighting for the area. Once we settled on the location and date, he maintained excellent communication in preparation to the event to properly flesh out the day’s timetable, day of logistics, and post. On the day of our wedding he expertly directed us and our families, using the natural lighting to capture the perfect shots. We would have been lost without him, especially since no one knew how to assist with bustling my dress. During our dinner reception he seamlessly directed restaurant staff to assist in transitioning between meals/dessert/toast for more amazing shots. After the wedding he kept us updated on next steps for our pictures. Randall is truly a gem and I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone special to capture their day.

The light, fluffy texture and incredible flavors of vanilla and chocolate had our guests raving for days about how it was the best wedding cake they'd ever tried. And her beautifully decorated cupcakes were simply mouthwatering. We're so grateful to Gabby for providing such an incredible centerpiece to our celebration with her incredible talent. She absolutely deserves her own baking show after contributing her amazing cakes and kind spirit to make our wedding day dreams come true!

My husband and I knew it would be an important task hiring a photo/videographer for our wedding. There’s SO many options and styles out there that it’s also daunting to commit to one. We found Cruzio Studios on The Knot and we are incredibly grateful we did. We were drawn to their journalistic style of capturing love between partners: intimate, natural (doesn’t look too posed), synergizes with the location, delicate, and sweet. After having phone calls with other vendors, we were most excited to work with Cruzio. Not only do they have an amazing portfolio (easily accessible on their beautiful website), but they have great packages to offer their clients. Our package came with an engagement shoot and the results were mind-blowing. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but my partner & I don’t show a lot of PDA and the Cruzio team captured our love so sweetly. When we got the photos and video short, we kept on saying, “That’s us!!” Given their portfolio, we trusted their expertise and artistic eye. Not only were they kind while providing clear directions and great ideas, but they’ll do their best to get the optimal shot. They’re immensely generous with their talents considering all the thought and detail they put into their product. Also, they’re really easy to talk to. We felt like we were just hanging out with friends who are very talented photo/videographers! Cruzio Studios definitely did not disappoint on our wedding day. I’m definitely a planner, so I had a list of group photos we wanted for our wedding day. The Cruzio team had that list with them and ensured we got the shots. They are so professional and stuck to our wedding day timeline with such grace. And although our venue spaces weren’t the biggest, they adapted. To that, my husband & I never felt like they were ever in the way or super noticeable. And, of course, their final products are amazing. They captured the excitement leading up our first look & ceremony and joyous celebration during the reception. Also, the romantics are simply so pretty and caught our love perfectly. It’s so lovely to look back at our special day through their talents and lenses. We consider ourselves fortunate to have had them in our wedding dream team.
