We worked with The Coordinated Collective (TCC) for our wedding in November of 2024, and from the very beginning we were impressed with their services and (perhaps most importantly!) we were comforted that our big day would be planned and executed smoothly. We first spoke with Ja’el, the owner, to have an introductory call and were instantly impressed. She provided initial feedback on our initial concept for the wedding, and made venue-specific suggestions that shaped how we planned our wedding over the months that followed. We were assigned Francisco (Fran) to be our Day-Of Coordinator, and after just a 30 minute introduction call we were impressed yet again and reassured by his experience and attention to detail. Over 9 months of wedding planning, he kept us organized, made sure we were on track, and responded in a timely manner whenever we emailed him with questions. He created and maintained a shared document for collaboration between our planning calls, which we loved. Fran made sure everything was addressed, from contracting vendors to make sure we had enough table linens to making sure critical contract documentation was correct and complete. We held a walkthrough with key vendors a few weeks before the wedding, and a rehearsal with the wedding party the day before the wedding. Fran reached out to schedule with vendors for these events, shared a list of activities and a timeline beforehand to set expectations, and executed both events so everyone knew what they were doing and had their questions answered. He even did a great job wrangling our wedding party, which is a tough task to do for such a boisterous group. And finally, on the day of our wedding, Fran continued to do a fantastic job. With the help of Erinn from TCC, Fran kept the trains moving on time. During setup, Fran and Erinn made sure the timeline was followed and that everything was in place well ahead of the wedding start time. Fran even provided last-minute decoration and arrangement suggestions for flowers and other key items such as our cake, guest book, and card box. (He has a great eye for detail!) And when the wedding was over, Fran and Erinn collected all of our decorations, table settings, and other items, making sure that everything we provided was accounted for. Our wedding was truly a day to remember, and it could not have been possible without Fran and The Coordinated Collective. We are forever grateful.

Penderview Events truly went above and beyond to make our day PERFECT. As a DIY and meticulous bride, we knew Anna was the one we would entrust with our vision the moment we had our phone consultation; she was so incredibly sweet and enthusiastic about our big day, and I immediately felt a sense of ease that she will be able to handle all the shenanigans and i can pass her the torch with ease. Although she was hired for "day of", she assisted us in any way possible months leading to and made sure we were on top of all the important tasks leading up to the day of (i.e. vendors contact info, finalizing timeline for the morning/day of, etc.). My big day unfortunately started off disastrous (I became car sick), so I was unable to give guidance with the decor during set up. But since one of the tasks Anna asked me weeks prior was for a list with all the decor and how/where I wanted them placed, Penderview legit made my vision come true!!!!!!!! Penderview was so attentive, that they were even able to place some items which I gave no instructions for (i.e. last minute decided that we wanted wedding party to sit during the ceremony, so I made name placement cards for the reserved chairs, and without mentioning it, they were placed on the chairs in processional order). Penderview was able to execute every event and details on the timeline FLAWLESSLY, and I was able to enjoy the event with ease knowing that everything was in such capable hands. We felt and saw how invested Penderview was throughout the day in making it perfect for us, especially the attention to details and handling all the logistics smoothly behind-the-scenes. I also really appreciated Anna’s assertiveness when hiccups would arise (ie, making sure guests wouldnt be walking in while were ready down the aisle/stay out of view, wedding party prioritized drinking and forgot to come back for portraits; flower girls kept running infront of camera during portraits, and so many other headaches i did not want to deal with, etc.) Not only was Anna able to accomplish and execute my vision beyond expectations, but she was also my emotional support and my right-hand lady, making sure I was always hydrated. Anna’s empathetic and kind demeanor made her feel more like a close friend than just a ‘day of coordinator’. Hiring Penderview was the best investment we made. Thank you so much for making our day magical and we will forever be grateful to Penderview!!!

Amaka and her team took over like we wanted and literally covered everything. The best part was how they helped us save tons of money on our wedding. Don't be hesitant in booking. The price you pay is well worth it Somehow they found a way to even get my husband involved in the planning process because Amaka made it a fun process. She also gave us a planning book to help keep track and our own personalized google sheet that literally had everything including our guest list and how everyone would be seated. Amaka was always available when needed and if she wasn't, she delegated someone else. My husband and I loved attending vendor visits with her and she would always offer to treat us to lunch/dinner whenever we had appts. They went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure the wedding was blissful. I recommended her to a friend who has a destination wedding next year and they are already in love. A planning company that knows what they're doing, very honest with you rather than telling you what you want to hear and extremely resourceful. We also got to save on decor because they provided rentals since we booked the full service planning and Amaka with giving us tips on how to save on decor. We wanted them to actually do the decor :-( but they couldn't at that time and was honest about it. However, I am excited about ariscreationz doing the decor for my friend's wedding.

Elizabeth Carberry and her team are truly second to none in the wedding planning space. Back in 2019, I had met with numerous planners in DC and the stars aligned on cost, vision, and personality with Elizabeth immediately. Even before we signed on the dotted line, Elizabeth was hard at work taking the things we mentioned in our first call and setting up appointments with vendors. As it turned out, this would be an excellent indication of how thoughtful, efficient, and hardworking she and her team would be in working with us to plan our dream wedding(s) over the next few years. When the pandemic hit, we had already booked our date and many vendors but it was clear we probably weren’t going to move forward with our original date or vision, Elizabeth was so on top of rescheduling things and renegotiating on our contracts, we felt totally supported the entire time. She really went above and beyond. We started planning another version of our wedding on a rescheduled date and once again, another wave of the pandemic hit and we were out of luck again. While I’m sure Elizabeth and her team were as exhausted and frustrated as we were, they kept everything professional while also being incredibly empathetic to the situation. We canceled our second attempt at a wedding and went back to the drawing board. Third times the charm, it seems! My husband and I decided to scrap our plans for a big 200 person wedding bash in DC and have an intimate ceremony of 45 people at my parents cabin in PA. We proposed this idea to Elizabeth, knowing it was a huge pivot and trek for her, but without really any hesitation we shifted gears and started planning our new dream wedding in the mountains of PA. Within a matter of days, our contracts had been once again renegotiated with vendors who wanted to make the trip to another state and new vendors were found (a seemingly impossible task in rural PA). The day went off without a hitch and my husband and I look back on the whole process and wedding day so fondly, even with the nightmare of the pandemic. The day of, Elizabeth and her team were so incredible and efficient but stayed behind the scenes, making sure I knew they were there but not overwhelming us. The ceremony and reception were so beautiful and fun- she made our vision a reality. We woke up the next morning and everything was disassembled/organized and ready for the vendors to pick up. Of note, Elizabeth is also incredibly professional and will advocate for you with difficult vendors and make sure you’re not getting taken advantage of- you can tell she’s seasoned pro! Elizabeth and her team are the reason why, even after two foiled attempts, we have nothing but amazing memories from the wedding planning and actual day of! I recommend Elizabeth Carberry to anyone getting married- she and her team are the best of the best. Thank you for our perfect day, EC!

You're going to spend a lot of time with your wedding planner / coordinator, so it's important that they're a good person and you like them! Well Diane is a gem of a human being, and I really do feel like I made a forever friend in her. Throughout the planning process and on the day, there were times when I just needed emotional support, and she was there for me. Her communication is prompt, consistent, and thorough. She got back to me on every email in a timely manner with all the answers I needed. I didn't realize at the time but strong communication was probably the MOST important aspect that made working with vendors 1000x better, and Diane excelled at it. Additionally, in the lead up to my wedding day and on the day itself, Diane was on top of EVERY detail. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was PERFECT - just as I always dreamed it would be. From helping me iron my wedding dress while my bridesmaids and I were getting our makeup done to overseeing every vendor arrival and setup to making sure transitions from each part of the day were smooth - she did it all. No detail was too small for her, and because she's a total professional, she thought of everything! Michelle used her experience to help us anticipate and prepare for every aspect of our wedding, which is exactly what we needed. Most of all, she cared deeply about getting to know us and our vision for the day so she could work on executing that vision while we enjoyed the day. I planned most of our wedding, so I was initially on the fence if I should reserve a day-of-coordinator or not, since our venue had a catering manger; but looking back, I would absolutely urge every couple to DO IT. After meeting Michelle and having a wedding that went so perfectly, I really see this as an investment in the time & energy you put into the planning process. Knowing that Michelle understood exactly how I wanted things to go and I could trust her to make that happen allowed me to full be in the moment during our wedding and enjoy every single minute of the day. Michelle's rates are incredibly reasonable for the level of service and peace of mind she brings. Words cannot define the worth and joy it was to have Kawania and her team be a part of my wedding day. She was a constant advocate for our needs and budget throughout the process, being realistic at every turn. What I know now is that what you get with Kawania is experience and know-how of the industry. She has planned several weddings and events before and knows how to troubleshoot mishaps that may happen on the wedding day in real time. She understands that the day of the event is a special moment for everyone involved and she knows not to bring stress to the wedding party and to allow them to live in the moment. At subsequent weddings, I have felt that my friends needed this approach with their planners on their wedding day/weekend. I, being their guest or in their bridal party felt the disorganization that their planners or self-planning brought. This was not the case with Kawania. We had glowing comments about our wedding day for even a year after and how it was not just a ceremony but a day of entertainment. She is an excellent communicator. We had regular meetings throughout the year, about once a week. I have seen my friends have wedding planners who do not get back to them for several days after they have a question about their wedding. Kawania brought my vendors to me instead of me having to look for vendors on my own and when one did not work she always had another one that could take the place. She set up meetings with me and my vendors one-on-one and reviewed all of our vendor contracts to make sure that we were getting a fair contract and that expectations for the vendor and for us were both reasonable and what we were looking for. Being a very busy working professional I appreciated that Kawania went above and beyond to make sure that I stayed on the schedule and was extremely patient when there were moments when I could not. I value how she brought my vision to life and had such great attention to small details that my day was exceptional. I have seen my guests feature elements of my wedding at their subsequent events and it speaks to how she was able to set the bar high for what a classy and unique event should be. Far beyond a wedding planner, she has become someone that I keep in contact with after the wedding. She even checked in on me when there was a major catastrophic event that took place in the area where I lived months after the wedding. There were even moments when I became uncertain or stressed and focused on the wrong thing when it came to my wedding. Kawania, quite like a mother figure helped me realize what my focus should be and to ignore all other distractions so that when I walked down the aisle, I was in full confidence of how the day was going to be and did not feel a single ounce of stress on my wedding day. I could not be more thrilled to work with Kawania again. Although I do not see myself getting remarried I would certainly work with her for any big event I needed in the future. She has such a positive energy and global about her and brings a light to every interaction even difficult ones that makes her pleasant, respectable, dependable, and all around the absolute reason why my big day went off such success. I cannot state how tirelessly she and her team worked so when I did meet them in person but felt like I was meeting friends who knew exactly what I wanted. Create You Events was the reason why our dream wedding became a reality!! My husband and I consider ourselves to be good planners, and like other couples, we thought we could make do without a wedding planner. We were only looking for a day-of coordinator when we reached out to Create You Events. We interviewed Vicky and realized the value she could provide us throughout the planning process. We quickly changed our stance and hired her as both our day-of coordinator and wedding planner. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The amount of time and mental energy saved was beyond worth it. Vicky and her team's guidance kept us on schedule and organized during our nine-month timeline. Vicky was able to handle all obstacles in stride. No challenge was ever too big for her, and that calmed many of our nerves. What sets Vicky and her team apart is their ability to complement the areas that my husband and I lacked. We were transparent with those aspects which we weren't as prepared for and our budget constraints, and they would always found solutions or presented us with alternatives that met our needs. There were countless times when Vicky would save the day by bringing up things that we wouldn't even consider! She was great with vendor management and helped identify vendors that fit our criteria. In addition to Create You Events' planning and coordination service, we also opted for their decor services. What was the most dreaded part of planning for us was no longer a challenge. Trust me when I say they made all of our worries go away when it came to decor and signage. We were able to provide our vision and they delivered on every little detail. The arrangements and signage fit the elegance of our theme and venue perfectly. It was a huge benefit having a team that already understood our vision and was attentive to every request. Where do I begin for the day-of coordination? Vicky and her team were the calming force to our chaotic day. We wanted to maximize our day, so we planned our timeline down to the minute. From their planning, they set up our day so that we didn't have to make any major decisions. All we had to do was follow the timeline they put together for us. This allowed us to enjoy our day and appreciate the little moments we would have otherwise missed. Even when things that were out of our control went array, Vicky and her team didn't even flinch from the pressure and were quick to find a resolution, having no impact on our day. Simply put, we couldn't have had a perfect day without the involvement from Create You Events. The planning, decor, and coordination was stress free for us and allowed us to allocate our time to other areas that required more of our individual attention. Vicky and her team were incredibly easy to work with and we felt comfortable enough to share all of our circumstances with her. We will always give the highest recommendation to Create You Events to our friends and family for their wedding and/or any major event. We are still left in awe by how they were able to listen to our vision and run with it. We definitely won't miss wedding planning, but will miss our planning calls with Vicky. On the wedding day, Abby ensured that my partner and I didn’t have to stress about the little things. My husband and I decided to go with her partial planning package, as we had already started hiring most of our vendors and were becoming overwhelmed by the amount of communication we were receiving all the time. As soon as we finished hiring everyone, Priyanna took over all communications with them and kept out mind at ease. Priyanna is an amazing human to work with. She is detail orientated, creative, kind, and extremely personable. She made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
