We first learned about Oso Events in the summer of 2022 while remotely planning our California wedding from the East Coast. From the very first introductory call, they blew us away with their professionalism, punctuality, warmth, organization, and excellence. Without them, our wedding would not have been nearly as amazing as it was! They found us fantastic vendors in the Bay Area like the food, HMUA, DJ, and server staffing company, organized our wedding day schedule, held regular video calls with us, got quotes from vendors, kept track of our budget and payment schedule with weekly updates, arranged set-up of the ceremony and reception venue, made sure our vendors got day-of tips, and more! The only thing that could be improved is that there was a specific deadline for event liability insurance that I and the planning team all missed initially. No harm was done though! The mistake was caught in time before it affected the event, and all went well! Michelle and Raymundo excellently identified what our energy levels as a newlywed couple would be like in the week leading up to the big event, and the day of the actual wedding. Raymundo directed our impromptu ceremony rehearsal, helping our officiant and party mark their places and signaling where/when we should stand and walk. Michelle checked in with the bride and the groom consistently throughout the night of the reception, asking if we needed water, food, or other drinks since we were often distracted by the festivities. They maintained effective communication leading up to and on the day of the wedding. Their decorations at the ceremony and reception were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. At the end of the night, they managed takedown, and made sure all of the personal decorative items and remembrance photos we brought were conveniently all in the same box for us to take home. Through the yearlong process of planning, they dealt with last-minute logistical changes with incredible poise, and truly grounded us, allowing us to enjoy the day with free minds. The team even accommodated two of our guests who tested positive for COVID last-minute by setting up a separate table for them in the outdoor venue. We couldn't recommend them more highly. Not to mention, their BobaHolics boba bar was a huge hit and the photo booth was a lot of fun. We got a lot of mileage out of the sustainable decor inventory, which prevented us from having tons of wedding stuff on hand that we'd accumulate and need to resell after. The entire range of services offered by Oso is incredibly helpful and will make any event an absolute hit. We have loved working with the team and we’re so grateful they decided to take us on as clients at the start of their wedding planning journey.

Jess made my absolute dream wedding florals come true! After our initial consult, she sent me a beautifully pieced together PDF of her ideas/vision for the florals which must have taken her so much time. We discussed any changes, and then signed the contract. She was extremely responsive, flexible, and understanding throughout the entire wedding process which made my life as a bride so much easier. On the day of the wedding, she was there early and had her set-up process down to a schedule. I have to say, the florals were absolutely stunning and had my guests asking for the name of my florist. I feel that her work was truly worth more than what I paid for and I appreciate everything that she did so much. I don't know how to give more than 5 stars but I would if I could!

We worked with Yoko from Two Perfect Events, and her team was on top of it every step of the way. Yoko made sure to get to know us and took every step possible over the year we worked together to make sure that we were prepared for the big day. She was in touch with our vendors, and our families and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. We never felt behind schedule or rushed because Yoko and team were so organized and on top of it. They really took care of us throughout the entire process. Something we appreciate is that they anticipated we'd need breaks during the day and scheduled those for us as well, they also made sure we were fed and hydrated throughout! Our families could not stop talking about how efficiently the entire day was managed. 11/10 want to plan another wedding just to hire them again.

It is truly an understatement to say I love cake. It is actually my weakness! So when I was searching for a bakery or baker to make my wedding cake, I really wanted to make sure I was not only going to love the look and taste of it but also choose someone that is actually passionate about it. I reached out to so many places and no one responded so kindly and promptly like Natasha. It is no doubt that her work is impeccable (what you see in pictures does not do justice to how even MORE beautiful it is in person), but her communication throughout the process and commitment to executing your vision is incomparable to other bakeries and bakers. I had a very intimate/small wedding (15 people), and other bakers made me feel like my event wasn't worth their time and effort to make, but Natasha was so sweet and kind - made me feel like she genuinely wanted to make our day special. I especially loved that she offered a cake tasting for us even though we were only ordering a small 2-Tier cake. Other bakers refused to do a tasting unless I was intending to spend over 700. All of the flavors she offered were SOOOOO good! It was tough to choose one but we are beyond satisfied with the berry shortcake flavor Everyone at my wedding was so impressed by the cake. So clean, chic and timeless. She truly executed my vision from just the one inspiration picture. Unfortunately I did not get any clear pictures of the cake due to the dim lighting in the restaurant . My guests were also amazed how moist and tasty it was too (make sure to follow her recommendation to serve cake at room temperature to enjoy at its full potential). You can really feel the love, time and effort she puts into her work!!! A TRUE TALENT. She was very honest and reasonable when it came to pricing as well! I definitely plan to work with her again for future events

My wedding was 10-02-2022 at Temescal Beach House in Oakland. Kim did my hair and make-up as well as the hair and make-up of my mom and 2 bridesmaids. Throughout the process-from my very first phone/video call with her, until the wedding day- Kim was kind, responsive, professional, and completely fantastic. She's genuine and calming which for me, was exactly what I wanted. I do not wear make-up or do my hair so this was the aspect of my day-of wedding prep that I was most worried about. I didn't want heavy make-up or to not look like myself. I also didn't have a pinterest board or a ton of my own ideas because that world (of hair and make-up) is intimidating to me and just not a language I speak. Kim was SO good at giving me options, talking me through things, and REALLY listening to my preferences. She was adaptive and sincere throughout the process and I felt SO beautiful on my wedding day. I looked like me, but leveled up a few notches, and my friends and family recognized me. The hair and make-up also lasted all day which was awesome. Kim is seriously the best (also queer friendly which was great). I cannot recommend her more highly.

We got married May of this year and Tim was an amazing videographer. Tim and his team did a great job capturing all of the special moments throughout the day, and the final videos we received were expertly assembled and really gave us a special way to relive the memories of our big day. If you are unsure about hiring a videographer, I would encourage you to do so, and definitely would recommend hiring Tim. We had a pretty involved timeline and he was patient, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. His team was able to capture several amazing shots, utilizing drones to really capture the beauty of the scenery and the day of our wedding from multiple angles. Getting to relive the day of our wedding through Tim's video was/is incredibly worth it. Thank you so much Tim for helping us capture our big day!

Saratoga springs is a breathtaking venue. I absolutely loved my space. The staff are caring, communicative, detailed and super easy to work with. We used the Redwood Grove space. It is secluded and intimate. Beautifully covered in trees. The space is amazing and green and so earthy. The staff sets up your space and pulls down your space (if hired). They pay amazing attention to detail and were eager to ensure that my space was everything I wanted. The only issue I have is the short amount of time you are allotted to be on site. You cannot get ready there and you only have one hour to explore the venue and take all the pictures on site that you want. Which on a wedding day is chaotic. It would be nice to have more time to explore the space especially for the cost of renting a space. Other than the time constraints everything is organized, and amazing. The food is amazing and we for so many compliments on our food! The space overall is beautiful and is a place I would recommend to anyone with how attentive the staff are.

Each of our preferred vendors have worked with Hakone Estate and Gardens before and is familiar with the venue’s policies and regulations.

We hosted our October 2023 Wedding Ceremony at Hakone and we were so happy with the beautiful gardens and overall experience. The staff at Hakone (Tony and Melia) were extremely helpful, friendly, and easy to work with and they went above and beyond to make sure our rehearsal and ceremony went smoothly. We requested a unique setup with two aisles and we had a large decoration to attach to an arch we rented through a vendor, and they worked with both us and our vendors to make sure that everything was set up just right with plenty of time to spare. They also helped us work through all the important details of the ceremony without being overwhelming, and they did a perfect job executing on the actual ceremony, queuing our party to walk and managing the music and sound system. The garden itself is beautiful in any season. We visited multiple times throughout the year leading up to our wedding and enjoyed different plants in bloom every time. In October, the garden was still lush and green with redwoods, bamboo, and the Koi pond providing amazing variety. Our guests had a great time strolling through the gardens before and after the ceremony, and there were tons of amazing backdrops for our wedding photos. They even gave us a complimentary year-long membership following our wedding so we could come back to relive the memories! In summary, we highly recommend Hakone whether for a wedding ceremony or just a visit!

I cannot recommend Boulder Ridge by Wedgewood Weddings enough! From booking the venue to coordinate with the ladies on my vision to Karyn being the best day of coordinator- we had such a smooth and successful wedding planning experience. I also love that you can text them pictures and text questions at anytime. It was so easy and helped make the process a bit more stress-free. On top off the service, the venue was stunning. My guests loved the long driveway and that the ceremony was outside. It was beautiful! The vendors provided by Wedgewood Weddings are also top notch. We used I Do Cakes (which they were able to make vegan) and it was so good. We even had guests ask where we got the cake (win!). We used DJ Kevin (imobile DJs) and he was so great! 98% of the wedding guests were on the dance floor by the end of the night. We also used Flower Divas- I was very particular and sent Shawna all of my pinterest pictures. She absolutely nailed it! Everything was beautiful and better than expected. We received so many compliments on the flowers.

Whether its for your wedding or for any occasion, 43 & Co is our go to dessert vendor. I cannot rave enough about 43 & Co - we absolutely love their presentation, taste, professionalism, to how accommodating they are with our requests and they are simply easy to work with. It was one of the easiest decisions when selecting a vendor for our desserts at our wedding. We met Likbin from 43 & Co in 2019 when we were beginning our vendor selection process. We connected and set a date for a tasting specifically for their mini desserts. When we got to their tasting room, it was intimate and straight to the point - the pre-selected desserts were presented on a platter and they even gave us bonus treats to try. The quality of the ingredients are premium and you can just taste it. Fast forward to wedding planning, our wedding was postpone at least 3 times due to circumstances around the pandemic. Every time we reached out to 43 & Co, they expressed they would take care of us whenever our date was! I can't explain how much burden and stress this took off from us! Case in point, we found out with a month away, our cake vendor had moved. We were beyond stressed and took a shot in the dark to see if 43 & Co would be able to make our wedding cake. After a few questions regarding what we were looking for - they obliged and delivered everything we wanted and beyond for our wedding day. They were prompt, came for set up and the dessert bar was a hit. Mini desserts were all gone by the end of the night and the 3 -tiered cake was our favorite - Vanilla cake with passionfruit curd. It was one of the moist cakes we ever had! Needless to say, we are craving their desserts as I type. For sure, we will be going back very soon. :) We want to take this chance to express our gratitude to a small business who truly takes their business seriously and are darn good at what they do. Our experience with Mavericks House was exceptional from start to finish. Communication was effortless, with easy contact via email and their event portal. Brittani, our main contact, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, ensuring that we were always up-to-date on deadlines, payments, and required documentation/forms. The venue's payment schedule and pricing structure were transparent and easy to understand, and the payment portal made transactions simple and convenient. The portal also let us refer to current and past documents at any time, making planning much easier. One of the highlights of our experience was the delicious food and drinks provided by the venue. The menu we chose offered a variety of options, including 3 cocktail hour appetizers, starter salad, 3 different mains, 2 sides, a churro bar, wine list, beer list, and His/Hers signature cocktails. The tasting process to choose our menu and drink list was not only enjoyable but also helped us customize our selections to our preferences. During the tasting, we also chose tablecloth/napkin colors, table configurations, and many other details for our wedding. They also took into consideration our guests with sensitive food allergies. We needed accommodations for gluten free, nut free, and shellfish free guests. Our guests with these allergies said the staff were very helpful and provided food they could enjoy. One thing that truly set this venue apart was their accommodation for guests who didn't drink. They allowed us to have two His/Hers signature cocktails and a mocktail, ensuring that everyone had a special drink option. Additionally, they provided Martinelli sparkling cider in addition to champagne for our toast, catering to our non-drinking guests. Throughout our wedding day, the staff provided full support and assistance when necessary, including helping us set up our DIY decor/centerpieces. Whenever we wanted to get more drinks from the bar, a staff member made us feel special by getting our drinks quickly, making us feel like the VIPs of our event! Since we were busy taking photos during our cocktail hour, at dinner, the staff provided us with a sampler plate of the appetizers we missed during cocktail hour, which was very thoughtful! At the end of the night, clean up was a breeze as the staff quickly and efficiently helped us clean up well before our 11pm cut-off time. Overall, our experience with Mavericks House was wonderful, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a picturesque venue that offers great food, drinks, and exceptional service.

I call the monthly Barn Dance at Pie Ranch as well as other community, private, and wedding dances all around the Bay Area.

My partner and I asked Nina to bring musicians and call square and contra dances at our wedding reception last November. It was wonderful. We wanted an alternative to a wedding band that was unique and interesting and affordable and charming and down-to-earth, and that went with our summer camp vibe, and Nina really delivered. Almost none of our guests had any prior experience at all square or contra dancing, but Nina knew exactly how to introduce the dance steps and keep everyone engaged. She was quick to respond to the needs of our group, and read the room brilliantly. To our amazement and delight, almost everyone participated, and multiple people told us afterwards that the square dancing was their favorite part of the wedding. Nina called the dances in a way that avoided traditional gender roles and accommodated dancers who didn't have a partner, allowing all of our guests to feel included in the fun. We are particularly appreciative of that. We only had her call for an hour, but we could have very easily and happily done more! In the weeks and days leading up to the wedding, Nina was very easy to communicate with, professional, and thoughtful. I could not recommend her higher for anyone looking for an experienced barn dance caller.

For our wedding, we had 3 videographers: Allen, Jennifer, and Frank. They were shooting all different kinds of angles, they even had a drone. How awesome!! The first time I met them, they were so friendly. Especially Allen, he was so genuinely kind-hearted, and even while we were getting ready, they were all so patient and nice with everyone. How nice of him! The wedding video came in the mail as 2 BluRay discs, with customized cases. The entire video was amazing!! Previously, the editor had sent us a questionnaire that provided them an idea of our favorite songs and what style we wanted. All the songs they chose were so perfect!! The shots they took were beautiful, the drone shots were amazing! Then the highlight video was done and even that was also so perfect! Literally chose the perfect songs, songs we didn't even know much people liked or knew about, but these songs were all about us. It represented us so well as a couple. Overall, Allen and his crew at Ivory Sky Media were amazing! Highly recommended! Thank you!!

This review is long overdue. The staff was really amazing in coordinating our perfect wedding right from the beginning. We were planning our big day from out of state, which you would think would cause a few hiccups but the staff at J Winston Winery made everything very easy. Taylor Kinsey, Operations manager, was always quick to respond, provided great recommendations, had tremendous patience and was very professional throughout the entire process. They offered a package to buy out the winery at a very reasonable price so we didn’t have to worry about uninvited guests or rush any last minute details. The wine packages were just as reasonable; the only tough decision here was deciding which ones to serve. The newly built barn, where we hosted our reception was beautifully done. It had all the right touches with very little need for additional decorations. The day before the wedding we were able to setup/prep anything we needed to and of course enjoyed some of their amazing wine. We were really appreciative of them working closely with our multiple vendors prior to wedding day and getting them all set up on our special day. We can’t thank them enough for making our special day truly magical. We still visit the winery when we’re in town and to this day continue to thank them for the great job they did and reminiscence on the fun we had. Thank you John and the J Winston Winery team for being there for us especially Taylor and Leyla!

In March 2024 our university booked a block of rooms at Shashi Hotel, Mountain View, CA. From the initial contact to the final good byes we received beyond excellent customer service! I was working with Madeleine Villanueva, Sales Manager for the hotel. Madeleine’s attention to detail, professionalism, friendliness, and assistance on every possible detail and request were outstanding. The hotel and restaurant welcomed us with customized welcome signs. The rooms were spotless clean and beds were super comfortable. Reception staff was fast to response, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant on site matched the hotel qualities. The food and the service was amazing! Overall, we had an awesome experience and looking forward to return to Shashi! I recommend both, the hotel and the restaurants to anyone visiting Bay Area.
