Starlight Meadow was everything we wanted! It rained almost the entire morning of our wedding, but the outdoor ceremony site dried out quickly for us to still be able to get married at the site we had picked out. My wedding was this past December, and I had been looking for a hotel to accommodate my family and friends. The Hyatt House in Morrisville was the perfect spot. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and even handed out gift bags to our guests. The event coordinator, Brett, is absolutely fantastic to work with. He is not only professional, but extremely kind and responsive. I am a big fan of Hyatt in general, but this experience just really solidified everything about Hyatt I already like. The hotel lobby area/bar was the perfect spot for the family to informally gather during the wedding weekend and the variety in breakfast day to day was also an added bonus. If you area looking for a spot to host your family and friends then definitely consider this hotel!

Great spots for pictures like the stairs outside. The reception area has a beautiful stone fireplace, cozy bar area, and nice deck/patio for cocktail hour. The staff here will go out of their way to make everything just as you envision it.

We rented the Victorian for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day! I highly recommend this to anyone, Brian was so willing to work with us and having the venue on Friday allowed us to bring everything in on Friday so that Saturday flowed so smoothly! Brian was extremely good about emails and communication all the way through our process. He answered all of our questions, gave wonderful suggestions, and also worked with us to allow our day to really be our day! We don't live in NC yet we were able to have facetime tours and make arrangements to see the venue in person many times throughout our process. This was so valuable to me and really helpful in planning a wedding from far away. I can't speak enough about the beauty of the house and entire property! There were so many beautiful spaces for photos and for guests to enjoy. The house itself is a work of art and having so many rooms and fun spaces made for a cocktail hour with something for everyone (indoor seating, porch rocking chairs, yard space, standing room, etc). The entire flow of the day was perfect for us and our guests. The getting ready spaces are TO DIE for. The bridal suite is beyond beautiful and has plenty of space for everyone's stuff food dresses beautiful space for photos. Having two full rooms was so valuable. We had 9 girls getting ready The grooms suite is great for guys - they also have 2 rooms which is so rare to find but gave them plenty of space to move around, play games, eat, and get ready!

Our wedding at WinMock truly could not have been more perfect! From the time we toured the place, we knew that we would be so taken care of by the team. We were always kept very informed of rules and expectations at WinMock, and we were guided through the planning process with so much kindness and helpfulness. As the wedding got closer, our flurry of emails were met with patience and professionalism, assuring us that everything would be ok. When we stopped by the venue on the week of the wedding to drop off decorations, Emilee personally greeted us, asked us if there was anything she could do, and assured us that it would be a beautiful day. The rehearsal dinner went off without a hitch, with WinMock staff kicking off the weekend with so much positivity, inviting our guests into a lively atmosphere, and serving up some amazing food and drinks! As a bride with serious food allergies, WinMock took it so seriously and ensured that I was delivered a special meal to my seat - I cant thank them enough for that thoughtful touch! On the wedding morning, while we got ready for our off-site ceremony, Emilee kept me informed of vendors’ arrivals, sent pictures of the places, and really demonstrated how invested she was in our day. From the moment we arrived at WinMock for photos before the reception through the end of the night, we were treated like royalty! Staff offered to bring us drinks, reminded us to stop and eat (which was so necessary!), orchestrated the flow of the evening alongside our vendor team, and made the night perfect. Our guests couldn’t get over how smooth everything went and how kind the staff was. There were so many little touches throughout the day that made us so glad that we chose WinMock. Of course the venue is stunning (and our pictures looked INCREDIBLE because of it) and a perfect location, but the quality of service and personal commitment to ensuring our day was as perfect as it was is something you can’t find everywhere. If we went back to the beginning of the planning process again, we’d pick WinMock without a doubt. Thank you WinMock team!

Hartley House Event Venue

The Hartley House (also known as the Bond-Bates-Hartley House) located in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina was built circa 1790 for John Pearson Bond. The house later came into possession of John Bates, husband of John Pearson Bond’s great niece and a member of the family that the town of Batesburg was named for. There are many local legends surrounding this house and it’s friendly visitors. According to local tradition, the Bond-Bates-Hartley House served as a stagecoach stop and post office, prior to the founding of the town of Batesburg. Architecturally the house is a typical upcountry farmhouse, with a portico adapted from the Greek Revival style.

I am a wedding photographer, and I think the wedding that I shot at Hartley House in December 2021 might be my favorite one yet! The house itself is beautiful along with the perfect decor and design that is in every room. Photographers will be happy to hear that large windows in the getting-ready rooms bring in plenty of natural light! The locations for the ceremony and reception are right next to the house, which makes things very convenient for wedding party members and all the guests. The Hartley House staff is also very kind and easy to communicate with. I highly suggest booking this venue. I'd love to go back and photograph another wedding!

We offer mostly full weekend rentals, so you can actually come together with family and friends to enjoy your wedding weekend! We offer 3 unique outdoor ceremony sites, along with a new indoor ceremony site option (COMING SOON!). Our white barn reception hall offers plenty of space for your guests, dance floor, bar, or whatever you want to include for your day! Within the reception hall, you'll find our getting ready suites each with their own fun themes for photo opportunities. We also offer a catering prep kitchen for your caterer! What a beautiful Venue. My youngest daughter's wedding receptions was the first event held at The Earl Scruggs Center. What amazing memories were made that night. Great people to work with. A great museum and reception hall. It is always a joy to work events with such great people.

We worked hard to uphold the historic integrity of both homes for our guests to enjoy. We think you will love the charm and beauty of the McAlister-Leftwich House!

I loved the look and feel of the McAlister Leftwich House so much, I didn’t mind having to choose my caterer and coordinator from their required list. This is something I didn’t initially want to do, but everything turned out well and the staff was very accommodating.

If I could get married here over and over I would. From the moment we met Chad all the way to the end of our wedding night, the whole process was seamless. We had the most magical wedding day. The professionalism, communication, and detail put into my wedding was incredible. Chad and his team are absolutely wonderful and I would gladly work with them again and again!! A giant water wheel feeds a tumbling rock creek that wraps around the venue and a gorgeous outdoor patio. The creek rolls by the giant outdoor fire pit and finishes with a stunning waterfall that can be the backdrop to your dream wedding! The venue is one of the kind in the area, offering a climate-controlled environment that can hold up to 285 (344 for an outdoor event) people comfortably with plenty of parking for everyone that attends. Your rental includes set up to your liking, tables, dance floor, chairs, ice machine, caterer's kitchen, built-in bar with kegerator, and a large projection screen with sound system! Whatever your event, The Mill at Rock Creek offers something special that can't be found anywhere else in the area!

Some miscommunication occurred about 30-60 days out worrying us about day of. When the weekend came, everything went so smoothly. The bridal and grooms suite were spacious and had all we needed. The venue is gorgeous and fell in love with the wooden tables and Phoenix chairs. Cannot thank Kristen for all she did that weekend!
