About this venue

Nestled in the historic Seaboard Railroad Station in downtown Raleigh, TRAINE is a premier event venue to host weddings and special events. Built in the early 1900’s as the original Railway Express operation in Raleigh; this building features original brick walls, wood timber beams and is surrounded by historic charm in a neighborhood next to William Peace University. We know there are many options and ways to celebrate the bond between two people, or an elegant fundraiser, or even a private, corporate gathering. TRAINE is here to keep it simple and keep it customized to your needs. We strive to be excellent in all things hospitality and look forward to assisting you on the journey to hosting a one-of-a-kind event that your guests will never forget. Your Destination Is Just Ahead

When we converted this old train station loading dock from an old, dusty warehouse into an up-scale private event space, we envisioned romantic candle lit dinners under the warmly lit Italian wedding lights and dark wood beams. With the walls electrical units prepped for live musicians and photo booths, this 4,400 square foot space is loaded with style and capabilities to host either intimate or full-scale productions. Our max capacity is 270 guests, or 200 with a seated reception and full dance floor that flows openly to our custom bar area. We also feature an entire length wall of open garage doors that spill in loads of natural light and invite your guests onto our mahogany wood deck with a picture-perfect boxwood terrace and fresh air to enjoy.

    This is the PERFECT venue to have a wedding - can't recommend TRAINE enough!! Richelle was an absolute dream to work with, and from our very first conversation, it was SO evident that she cared deeply about making our wedding day as special as possible. Truly, we couldn't have asked for a better site to host our wedding. Many of our guests commented at how beautiful the venue was, and how smoothly everything ran on our wedding day - they were all very impressed!
