About this venue

Just north of Greensboro, North Carolina is a country plantation known as Oakhaven. Our history is rich, dating back as far as the 1930’s. Many stories can be told about this place, and we want to add your story to our legacy. Imagine waking up in this place, walking out from the tall Tudor Manor to gaze ahead; all you see are the green pastures that go on for ever, dotted with the peace of grazing cattle, your beautiful reception barn, and a place down the hill that you will soon say your vows. What a beautiful feeling that can only be found at Oakhaven! We pride ourselves on being a wedding venue that makes all our guests feel comfortable, yet remains classy in taste. Oakhaven's Grand Dutch Barn gets its appeal from paneled old wooden walls. Oakhaven sought this feature from Corral Wood in Montana. No Barn can match its appeal. It is Perfect for any season as it is completely heated and cooled, to any temperature you want. Our 10 foot wide stone fireplace is a focal point both summer and winter. You can't go wrong with this indoor ceremony spot! This is also our rain plan option.

Oakhaven’s grand Dutch barn, completed in March 2019, is a most magnificent space for our wedding couples to celebrate and have fun with their guests! The interior features wood from a former Montana corral, giving the space the warmth and cozy comfort of an old barn. A space equipped with wifi, integrated sound system, antique lighting, a stone fireplace, and picture windows overlooking rolling hills answers the question, “What would be your dream barn for your romantic gathering?” You will want to kick up your heels in this Dutch barn. Panoramic glass windows provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding day.

Manor Gardens

A bit of "Southern Charm on a Farm" best describes Oakhaven.

No wedding venue would be complete without a romantic garden. The towering 1930’s Tudor-style manor is the backdrop to a lush lawn and intricate beds and borders with bright shows of color three seasons of the year. Winding walkways leading through the gardens provide our brides with many choices as to the seating of their guests. A beautiful Amish gazebo stands at the end of the stone walk from the manor. This is a chosen path for many a bride, and a true photographic moment which can only be colored by joy. The Manor Gardens is one of our favorite ceremony locations. With lush green grass, colorful florals and a stonewalk way that leads to a gazebo, this site is perfect for that romantic garden feel.

The Manor House which dates back to the 1930's, will sleep up to 12. The perfect place for you and your wedding party to stay the night before the big day! With 6 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen, bridal dressing room and 2 sunrooms perfect for hair + makeup you can't go wrong with this gorgeous home! The Manor House is included in all wedding packages for DAY OF GETTING READY. All overnight accomadations must be reserved and added to your package.

The mighty oak tree; is there a more perfect symbol for marriage? Imagine bride and groom are both trees, slowly growing closer together, the branches of each tree reaching out to become more entangled, uniting to become one. This solemn space is found under Oakhaven’s 100 year old oak. Walk down the aisle between antique church pews as you approach the tree. You are in nature’s sanctuary, and the answer to the question is, “I do.” The Oak Tree is our most popular ceremony location. Couples love our 100 year old oak tree and we can't say that we blame them. Providing ample shade during the summer months and old church pews for seating this ceremony site is breathtaking.

Wedding ceremonies at Oakhaven are quite colorful; backdrops include green rolling hills, gleaming ponds, flowering manor gardens, and crisp fall colors that only appear later in the year. Helping to create the perfect place for that perfect moment is what we do best. You will discover that there are a variety of spectacular choices where the world can stand still and make a lasting impression on your special day. The peacefulness found only in the country can felt at each of the popular ceremony sites, and with every season of the year a look that differs from spring to summer to fall. Uncooperative weather is no cause for worry, an appropriate weather plan for each ceremony is determined during your planning process.
