About this venue

In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.

The Big Building

Warm and Cozzy

108 with tables and chairs, 232 with chairs only. The big white tables (12) in Le Grand Bâtiment, all take 108" round tablecloths. There is a covered patio for additional seating when the weather permits.

The Tasting Room

The room has all the ambience you would expect from an old dairy barn and old tasting room for a winey. It has the look and feel of Italy.

This space has 1,330 square feet indoors and has a patio with 32 additional seats with ample room for a ceremony.
