About this venue

The McAlister-Leftwich House is a historic property located in Greensboro, NC. Nestled right outside of downtown, the property holds two historic homes, McAlister and Leftwich. Between the two homes there is an on site Bridal Suite and Grooms Suite, multiple indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations, and options for intimate weddings or larger celebrations. We worked hard to uphold the historic integrity of both homes for our guests to enjoy. We think you will love the charm and beauty of the McAlister-Leftwich House!

Gant Room

A bright and open indoor space perfect for your ceremony or reception

This room is located on the first floor of McAlister. It is our largest indoor space. Couples can choose between the beautiful fireplace or bright bay windows for their ceremony backdrop. This room can also be the space used for your reception and dance floor. Comfortably holding 125, it's the perfect space to celebrate with your loved ones.

Relax before your big day in our romantic Bridal Suite

This gorgeous suite is complete with a dressing room, dining room, hair and makeup room, a "catch all" room for your belongings, and a private bathroom. You are invited to relax, get ready, eat, and drink in preparation for your big day! We have beverage packages you can chose from including everyone's favorite, mimosa bar! You can be sure that no one will see you before your grand entrance while in the private Bridal Suite! The suite comes with our Whole Day and Half Day package.

Groom's Suite

Kick back and relax with your groomsmen in preparation for your day

Our handsome Groom's Suite is located on the 3rd floor of McAlister House. We promise that you won't be seen before your big day! You can chose from one of our beverage packages and bring your own food to enjoy. Complete with a "catch all" room for your belongings, private bathroom, lounge area, TV, table for dining or games, and a putting green, we think you'll be able to relax and prepare for your special day! Access to the Groom's Suite is included with our Whole Day and Half Day packages.
