There is nothing more romantic than a beautiful wedding in a countryside setting! Family-owned and operated, we have hosted weddings, receptions and other special events since 1995. We have a wedding package for almost any budget. Rates are based on day of the week, month and services. May, June, September, October and December are considered on-peak. Friday and Saturday are considered on-peak. Rates vary from $2500 for an outdoor garden wedding and reception to $6900 for a full weekend of services including overnight. The Hartley House (also known as the Bond-Bates-Hartley House) located in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina was built circa 1790 for John Pearson Bond. The house later came into possession of John Bates, husband of John Pearson Bond’s great niece and a member of the family that the town of Batesburg was named for. There are many local legends surrounding this house and it’s friendly visitors. According to local tradition, the Bond-Bates-Hartley House served as a stagecoach stop and post office, prior to the founding of the town of Batesburg. Architecturally the house is a typical upcountry farmhouse, with a portico adapted from the Greek Revival style.

In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.
