I hired Katie for partial planning which I am so beyond thankful for because she was the only person who kept me sane through this entire process. I knew I was in great hands after our very first meeting. I was very indecisive on a lot of decisions I had to make, and she was my hype woman through it all and reassured me through every step of the process. She was very meticulous, organized, and knowledgeable. She had no issues with me reaching out and asking questions leading up to her takeover on the 3 month out mark and once she stepped in, it was a huge sigh of relief for me. I cannot say enough incredible things about Erin. Above and beyond does not begin to cover it! Look no further for any of your wedding planning needs. We hired Erin for our month of coordinator almost 2 years in advance. From the beginning, she was very responsive, informative, kind, and helpful. Unique Events was nothing short of a Godsend for our April wedding! First…late in the planning stages it was evident that our first intended wedding venue would not be completed due to construction delays attributable to the pandemic. Everything seemed to be going ok until a vendor I was counting on (not in Unique’s preferred network) fell through the day before the wedding!! I was so upset!! What did Andrea do? First…she calmed me down and dried my tears. Secondly, she promised everything would be completed even if she had to work until midnight to get things set up. She went right to task contacting her awesome network of vendors. Behind the scenes, wheels were in motion while Andrea calmly went through the wedding rehearsal with us and got our rehearsal dinner set up. JayLynn was amazing to have during the wedding process. She would always answer any questions I had, she always offered to help with anything I needed done. The checklist she gave me helped so much during planning, especially the closer we got. The day of the wedding everything went so smoothly and if anything did go wrong my husband and I didn’t even know about it. Our venue didn’t allow us to start decorating until 1pm and our first look was at 1pm. I can’t imagine the stress I would have had if we didn’t have JayLynn and her team to decorate. Kristen and her team were amazing- her services were the most critical part of our wedding! She was so organized and on top of everything for the wedding, as soon as I hired her I felt so much more at ease with the planning process. I did a pretty much DIY wedding, my venue did not provide anything other than the venue and furniture, therefore, I had a lot of moving parts to my wedding and multiple vendors involved. Kristen took all the chaotic information I provided and streamlined the whole thing. She organized everything for me into a very easy to follow timeline and then was in constant communication with all the vendors. My regular hair dresser is the hair dresser I used for my wedding and she and I are friends. She told me that from a vendor's perspective, Kristen was the best coordinator/planner she had ever worked with. She was very impressed with her constant communication and all of the details she thought of in preparation of the event. Kristen and her team took my vision and made it a reality which was no easy task but she got it done. My wedding day was easily the best day of my life, and Lucky Day played such an important role in making that happen! One of our goals for the day was to ensure we had all of the help we needed so that my husband and I could enjoy the whole day and not stress about vendors and venue set-up/tear-down. Kaity did a great job, especially considering all the uncertainty of bad weather (my ceremony was outdoors) we had to all deal with. She always had an upbeat and positive attitude the whole time, which I know can be very difficult to do around my family. She definitely would just roll with all the punches to keep us on track. I was anxious the entire day, but Kaity reassured me that she had everything under control and I knew I could trust her. She even went out of her way to get me and my husband little care packages on the day of, with inspiring notes. The only hiccups I actually noticed was with announcements and speeches, because the volume and echo was not great, so people didn't know when things were actually happening, so I wish we could've told the DJ sooner to fix the issue. We had also wanted to have our dinners boxed up, because my husband and I were both too anxious and excited to really eat, so our food ended up being thrown away, plus we didn't receive the top tier of our wedding cake to save for the tradition thing (but my guess is because they served it all to the guests). Unfortunately, at the end of the night, we were super rushed to get everything out of the building, because of the time and the pouring rain- I was running around barefoot in my dress while my husband was passed out in the car, and I was one of the few trying to get everything packed and cleaned up. However, Kaity and her husband really helped us out by collecting all the left items and holding onto them for us until the next day. She kept in contact, since at least a month beforehand, to make sure we had everything in order and sent her all the vendor contacts , so she could be included with all the day-of plans. She really did go above and beyond to make sure I had the best day possible, and I really appreciated that from her. I would definitely hire her again.

My husband and I got married this past September at the Omni Grove Park Inn, and they require a wedding planner. At the time I didn’t realize just how invaluable a wedding planner was. I started looking around for Asheville planners, and came across The Planning. After reading a bunch of amazing reviews and reaching out for a quote, we chose them. We decided to do the month out package as that fit our needs, and we were so blessed to be given Kylie as our main wedding planner and correspondent. Like most brides, although super excited, I was also feeling very overwhelmed and experienced a lot of anxiety leading up to the wedding, especially since we were planning a wedding in another city (we’re from Nashville). From our first phone call with Kylie, she eased my fears and made me feel relaxed and even more excited about our wedding than I originally had been. I completely trusted her. I looked forward to our weekly phone calls starting the month before the wedding, not just because we were getting more things in order, but because I genuinely loved talking to her as well. My parents, who honestly were both skeptical about the need for a wedding planner, were quickly won over and at the end of wedding weekend were wondering how they ever thought it was possible to go without one. Because our venue was a pretty large one and because we had about 135 guests we needed an extra planner, so we ended up having the help of both Kylie and Autumn (who was also incredible) wedding weekend. They were there for our rehearsal the day before the wedding, and all day/night on the day of the wedding right up until we got in our getaway car, and I don’t know what we would have done without them. They helped us figure out the layout of the ceremony, helped everyone understand when to walk, etc, kept track of all of my belongings, kept us on a timeline for the day and night (which was very important for a big group like ours), coordinated with all of our other vendors, helped me make decisions I hadn’t even realized I needed to make, and so much more. Kylie and Autumn were both so kind, organized, level headed, and just fun to be around. They were both so professional and knew when to get down to business, but being around them still felt like being around good friends. Everyone loved them. Both of our families are very large so as you can imagine there was a LOT going on - many different personalities, many opportunities for us all to get distracted - and they handled all of the chaos so well and took everything in stride. Any issues we ran into they quickly and carefully handled. Also, once I got to the altar and we were in the middle of saying our vows, I realized I had left my engagement ring in a public bathroom on the floor we got ready in while I was fixing my dress…after the ceremony Kylie sprinted upstairs and found my ring and quickly became a hero to both my husband and I haha. All of this to say, we could not have had our beautiful wedding weekend without the help of Kylie, Autumn, and The Planning. We could not have had better wedding planners and wouldn’t do anything differently. If you don’t think you need a wedding planner, I can assure you that you probably do, and if you are thinking about hiring them, you should!! The Planning is an amazing business. We wish we could do it all over just so we could hang out with everyone again!
