“We never expected to have the perfect wedding, but thanks to Kate and Jen/Green Apple, we truly had the perfect wedding for us. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of, and Kate and Jen made the process so easy. Between choosing the venue, picking the band, dealing with COVID uncertainties, actually running the show the day of, and a million other things, they were always responsive, patient, and so much fun to work with. It’s hard to know what the perfect wedding will look like ahead of time, and although we had some vague general ideas and a couple weirdly specific requests, we weren’t really sure about how it would all come together. Kate and Jen took the time to listen to us, giving us formal questions and plenty of their time to talk things out informally. It felt like they immediately got what we were saying and had ideas about how to make our wedding come to life. They were honest when they thought something might not work, and creative when we were trying to come up with solutions to an issue. All of that was so important because it could often feel really hard to plan a wedding while managing two busy careers and everything else in our lives, and it was so reassuring to know we had them making sure everything was on track. Their experience and their willingness to get to know us made everything come together that whole weekend in a way we’ll never forget. The best part about working with Kate and Jen is how much they clearly LOVE what they do, and truly feel invested in the couples that they are planning with. “We worked with Liz at Have Lover, Will Travel for our November 2024 wedding ceremony and honeymoon planning and WOW were we impressed! We knew we didn't want a religious ceremony or a friend to officiate our wedding, and knew we needed lots of help to create a meaniful ceremony and officiate well to our guests. We took a chance booking Liz and her ceremony ended up being the most complimented part of our entire wedding!! For months leading up to the wedding, Liz asked us incredibly meaningful questions about our love story and about how we wanted to share it with our friends and family. What resulted was an incredibly personal, sentimental, but ultimately light-hearted ceremony script that totally nailed who we are as a couple. I knew I could plan my own wedding but I’m not a pro at all so I knew I would need a lot of help. “Amalia was exactly what I needed to ensure my wedding day went as smoothly as possible. Planning a wedding in 3 months was tough but Amalia kept me organized, was there to bounce ideas off of, created signage for our guest book dessert table and card box, and helped tremendously the day of the wedding. When I would get overwhelmed Amalia would schedule a zoom call to check in and help where needed. “LGBTQ safe. Type A personality approved. Experience with lesbian weddings (two bridezillas). Awesome team. Communicative and highly organized. 180 person wedding. After having a bad experience with another wedding planner, we found Chelsea Song Events. And thank god, we did. Chelsea immediately put my partner and I at ease. Within a week, Chelsea made us a shared document/spreadsheet where she organized all our vendors, to-do lists, timelines, etc. When I talk about everything was organized (even when to write vows, parent gifts, when to organize bathroom baskets and what to put in them), I mean everything.. Having access to this helped our Type A personalities feel so much better. For months, we met on a regular basis, and Chelsea always came with an agenda to help us focus on what needed to be done or updates about what she had done during those two weeks. There was full transparency which we really appreciated. After hiring some wonky vendors (before we met Chelsea), she pushed to make sure she personally had meetings with them and prepared them to deliver on the day of. She also created design mockups and floor plans so that we could really envision what the venue would look like. The month of the wedding, Chelsea handled everything having to do with vendors and the venue (double checking things, COIs, contacts), giving us brides the time to relax and get excited for the big day (without a to-do list ourselves). And day of, wow! She killed it. She and her team handled everything so that we didn’t have to. We had 180 people and a dozen vendors. But still, every time she saw us, Chelsea assured us everything was perfect (AKA she was putting out fires left and right, but we didn’t know that). And we ran EXACTLY on time, thanks to her. We also heard from so many of our vendors that she was amazing to work with on that side too. It’s difficult to put your trust into someone when planning a wedding, but speaking for myself and my partner, you can trust Chelsea every step of the way. She truly cares about her couples, and she loves what she does. She’s always reachable, great to bounce ideas off of, and wants to make your dream wedding come true. While being a perfectionist planner, Chelsea is also the kindest person. We can’t recommend her enough.”
