As a writer, I've always been moved by the power of words to express emotions. And being the one who narrates the words that I’ve written for a couple on their wedding day while witnessing the effect each word has on their closest friends and family is the greatest honor a writer can have. HLWT is the amalgamation of my talents, my experience, my passions, and all the things that make my heart beat with excitement.

As your wedding officiant and day-of coordinator, the level of care that I tirelessly bring to your wedding planning and ceremony are felt in every moment at the wedding. I'm passionate about sharing your story in a way that moves your guests emotionally through the lens of your relationship. I'm a calming presence and with a penchant for logistics & timelines so that you & your partner will be relaxed and able to be present on your wedding day.

Intimate affairs allow your ceremony to be the focal point of your day, and your pop-up nuptials will be far from clandestine. I'll help choose a location and will make sure that even a public place will feel private. I executed an event called "Elopements for Couples Who Care" where I married 6 couples in Central Park with all proceeds for charity. The day was seamless despite weather conditions and I was honored to coordinate and officiate!

My company, Have Lover, Will Travel, was created from the idea that the world was made for lovers to explore hand in hand. I officiate weddings & plan honeymoons, so destination weddings are the perfect blend of both of these passions. Your ceremony will have a transportive quality that highlights your adventurous love story. I also help your guests plan travel itineraries so that your destination wedding is a seamless and joy-filled experience.

    We worked with Liz at Have Lover, Will Travel for our November 2024 wedding ceremony and honeymoon planning and WOW were we impressed! We knew we didn't want a religious ceremony or a friend to officiate our wedding, and knew we needed lots of help to create a meaniful ceremony and officiate well to our guests. We took a chance booking Liz and her ceremony ended up being the most complimented part of our entire wedding!! For months leading up to the wedding, Liz asked us incredibly meaningful questions about our love story and about how we wanted to share it with our friends and family. What resulted was an incredibly personal, sentimental, but ultimately light-hearted ceremony script that totally nailed who we are as a couple. Liz was able to perfectly straddle the line between having the whole room in tears one minute and laughing and cheering the next. It was the most moving ceremony I've ever been privy to. Liz is a complete professional who guided us through everything we needed to get our marriage license, dealt well with all of our other vendors, and was dressed impeccably. She also planned our honeymoon with the type of detailed dedication that we could've never had while also planning our wedding. She brought us amazing options, helped us narrow down our decisions, and handled all of the travel logistics so that we could basically just pack and show up to the airport. Liz is a complete professional and frankly should/could be charging more for the tone she set for our entire night. I will 100% be recommending Have Lover, Will Travel to friends and would book her again in a heartbeat!

    Liz was fantastic, from the earliest point of the process going over how she works and what to expect. She gave us plenty of time to make a decision, and once we decided to have her officiate our wedding, she communicated every step of the way so we never felt adrift. It really felt like she wanted to get to know us and spent so much time figuring out who we were as a couple to make sure it was a unique and meaningful ceremony for us. The actual ceremony was fantastic, and she was an amazing calm and steady presence throughout a hectic day. It was everything we could have wanted.

    Wedding planning is stressful. Liz made sure that we felt considered and prepared for all aspects in her domain. She's such an affectionate writer, and really takes the time to spotlight the details about your love story that ultimately make it uniquely your own. We had (on many occasions) wedding guests come up to us asking about our officiant and how she was able to paint such a lovely and vivid love story. Liz cares about the final result - plain and simple! We're thankful she was able to be there to make our union happen.
