The Duke Sculpture Garden at the Dixon Mansion in Wallingford is housed on a 100-year-old estate. The most striking features of the four-acre landscaped grounds are Rapunzel stone tower and the Main Building, built in 1889. A newer 3,100 square-foot gallery has been added to the Main Building which is air-conditioned and handicapped accessible for your reception. Our 19th-century ballroom would be available as the perfect ceremony "B" plan. The Gallery features oak floors, soaring exposed rustic beam construction and beautiful lighting. If you are seeking an exquisite garden setting you’ve arrived at the right place! There are 3 components to the rental of Appleford: you have the use of the inside of the estate, use of the tented terrace, and access to the gardens. Your wedding can take place both inside and outside of the house, with the seating for your reception taking place under the tented terrace overlooking the gardens. You and your guests are welcome to roam the gardens and take pictures in the alee of trees, boxwoods, roses garden, walled garden, and private medallion garden. A pond, small waterfall, and landscaped entrance in front of the home is the ideal setting for your onsite ceremony. Appleford works with 8 exclusive caterers and is BYOB. Clients are welcome to select a florist, photographer, videographer, and other vendors. The NSCDA/PA owns its Headquarters House located at 1630 Latimer Street in Philadelphia. Built by and for the Dames under the leadership of Mrs. James Starr, Jr., the house has served as the Dames home since its completion in 1923. The building was designed by the Philadelphia Architectural firm Ritter and Shay. Marion Coffin, one of the first female landscape architects, was instrumental in desgining the garden which is a four seasons delight to all who use the house. Headquarters is the setting for Philadelphia Stated Meetings, the meetings of the Board of Managers and its Committees, and for the Society's Annual meeting. The archives of the Society, including lineage papers of our members, both living and deceased, are housed here as well. Headquarters is also available to the general public to rent for weddings and events.

Built in 1894, this unique and elegant mansion in Devon, Pennsylvania, was home to several prominent Main Line families until it was renovated for public use in 2005. Bolingbroke Mansion was built fifty years before the American Declaration of Independence and is just fifteen miles from where that historic event took place. This location has six event rooms, including several excellent outdoor ceremonies and reception locations. Indoors, the mansion can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. You'll find a beautiful staircase in their gardens that provides a stunning backdrop for photos. There is a side porch overlooking the sprawling green lawns and giant trees for cocktails and receptions. Stone-raised stairs and a landing in their memorial garden provide the ideal backdrop for any wedding ceremony, speech, or picture session. Seasonal flowers, lovely deciduous trees, and evergreens can be found in the magnificent private gardens that lead off Bolingbroke's back patio. In the heart of Center City, this landmark mansion takes its name from Horace Trumbauer, esteemed architect of America's Gilded Age. His career was launched with the creation of Lynnewood Hall in Elkins Park, the Georgian Revival palace commissioned by streetcar tycoon Peter A. B. Widener in 1897. A native Philadelphian, Trumbauer is also associated with grandiose buildings in New York and Newport, the main library at Harvard University and much of the campus of Duke University. Today, Trumbauer is hailed as one of America's premier architects. In 1906, he embarked on Trumbauer Hall, a formal Colonial Revival building of brick, concrete, limestone and marble construction. What began as one of the most prestigious private city clubs in North America is now also Center City’s best address for high-end entertaining. Since 1999, Jeffrey Miller has been the exclusive caterer for weddings, corporate dinners, fundraisers and other special events at Trumbauer Hall.
