The Horticulture Center, located in Philadelphia’s beautiful Fairmount Park, includes a modern exhibition hall and greenhouse on stunning historic grounds. Mr. Renner made the decision to keep the original industrial scale for weighing wool, which you can still see inside our front foyer. Our first batch of Manayunk Brewing Company beer was tapped on October 17, 1996. Since then, we have brewed more than 600 different varieties of beers, and have been selling these sought-after styles all around Philadelphia and New Jersey. Our brewers continue to explore new takes on classic styles, especially when it comes to sour ales and India Pale Ales. You will no doubt see our delivery truck bringing goods to happy customers throughout the Philadelphia region! Mr. Renner’s daughter took over the building in 2004 and runs the restaurant and brewery along with her business partner Mike Rose. Since then, they have expanded the restaurant by installing a stone pizza oven and sushi bar, as well as a chic banquet space for weddings and meetings. We’ve also begun to offer kayak tours along the adjacent Schuylkill River during the warm months.

A native Philadelphian, Trumbauer is also associated with grandiose buildings in New York and Newport, the main library at Harvard University and much of the campus of Duke University. Today, Trumbauer is hailed as one of America's premier architects. In 1906, he embarked on Trumbauer Hall, a formal Colonial Revival building of brick, concrete, limestone and marble construction. What began as one of the most prestigious private city clubs in North America is now also Center City’s best address for high-end entertaining. Bok Vocational High School was built in 1936 to accommodate 3,000 students from across Philadelphia studying subjects like wallpapering, cosmetology, auto mechanics, bricklaying, and more. Due to decreased enrollment it was put up for auction in 2013 and by 2015 Scout, a multidisciplinary design firm with a background in transforming vacant spaces in creative ways, took ownership of the building. Now, Bok has been deemed as a historical building on the National Registry of Historic Places and houses more than 250 businesses and artists. It’s 340,000 square foot structure is also home to a cafe and an award-winning rooftop bar. Located in the heart of South East Philadelphia, a few blocks East of East Passyunk Crossing, BOK sits on an entire city block in a residential neighborhood.
