I really appreciated working with Gather as we got closer to our wedding day. Stephanie, our coordinator, took over calling and speaking with vendors, which was super helpful (and among the highest stress for me leading up), and made the day run smoothly in such a way that I really didn't have to worry about those things. Stephanie was kind and easy to work with, and really helped take care of little details throughout the lead-up and the day-of, including managing breakdown. While the day-of coordinator package still means you do a lot of work yourself, the tasks for the day-of stressed me out the most, and so I was really happy to have the help and support of Stephanie.

It's safe to say that Jesse is officially a part of my family. I was losing my mind over planning my wedding and just needed support from someone who wasn't my family and who could give me guidance on what to do and how to go about certain wedding things. As parents of two married children, we have used Saskia twice and it was the best money we spent! They were both dream-come-true events! One was much bigger than the other and every guest I spoke to raved about the attention to detail that was evident. Though I am an organized, detail-oriented person I had NO IDEA what a Herculean effort it would be to execute a 285-person dream wedding without her and her team's help. It is invaluable to have someone who understands what is necessary and has worked in the wedding industry to help you navigate the many elements needed to stay sane and within your budget! We had 14 months to plan a wedding 2 1/2 hours away and at every turn she was there...asking questions I wouldn't know to ask, offering other cost-effective alternatives if I was nervous about a quote, walking the property with us so she could visualize the day and be the intermediary so we could relax and enjoy the day with virtually no worries. We chose to use Saskia's "full-design" option and it is worth EVERY penny! She created an amazing vision board presentation that took every element the bride and groom were hoping to experience. She connected us with other professional, affordable and reliable vendors and was such a calming, yet bad-a** advocate when we needed her as the to-do list started ramping up in the days before. She even brought to life my daughter's dream for a tequila specialty bar that was so creative and fun! I have told everyone about her and am sure she will get even more business from the guests who attended and were blown away by such a perfectly executed event! She is a first class, wedding-executing super hero!!

They were the picture of calm and brought the most warm and positive energy that our guests just fed off. Everything was so, so well coordinated and we felt we could just trust the Faye Fern team to do their job. They also gave us invaluable advice before the wedding which we followed and it helped to keep us very organized on our end. The decor took our breath away. We aren't design experts and just had a general idea of what we liked. Also owing to our busy schedules which left us little time to participate in the design process, we let Natalie run freely with the concepts she came up with and would tell any other couple to do the same! You won't regret it! I might be something of a designer's nightmare: a bride who doesn't always know what she wants and doesn't have time to plan anything but has high standards about whatever it is. I secretly feared that my wedding would never live up to what I hoped but when we stepped into our ceremony and reception, our jaws were on the floor the whole time. We could not believe this was our wedding because ohhhh my godd. It's like Natalie knew exactly what we wanted without us even knowing it ourselves. The fact that she designed and planned this for us while based in a different city the whole time makes it all the more impressive to me. Last of all, I want to add how grateful I am that Natalie always made sure that both my husband and I felt equally included in decisions. Many vendors treat the bride as if she is the only one whose opinion matters and while maybe this is traditional in the industry, I could tell that he felt left out sometimes. So I want to thank Natalie for always treating it like it was OUR wedding and not just mine because it meant a lot to my husband.

We found Cassandra on Zola and set up a meeting for partial planning services. It was a one and done conversation--we knew immediately that she was the right planner for us! Her clear communication, organization, and professionalism made her the obvious choice. We felt confident in relying on her expertise to bring our Fall-themed Tahoe wedding to life, and she did not disappoint. Cassandra is a true professional and expert at her craft -- For partial planning services, she provided a detailed month-by-month checklist complete with notes and recommendations to guide us in meeting our wedding deadlines. About six weeks before the wedding, she took over all aspects of the planning process. She is an experienced planner that has built out her own inventory of rentals (which was a big help so I didn't have to track those things down), and has a great knowledge base of reliable venues and vendors in the area to work with. A few of our vendors (my selections, not hers) were a challenge to wrangle, and I was relieved to be able to loop Cassandra into those conversations to get things back on track. She also brings a ton of creativity and first hand experience to the design process that I really valued. She built us a beautiful design board and iterated on it with us until we 100% loved it. She also did a great job of day of coordination and made sure we could be fully immersed in the day instead of sweating details. I'm still speechless when I think about our Wedding. It was one of the best days of our lives, and will be crystalized in my mind as a perfect day forever. We are immensely grateful to Cassandra for her outstanding work and thankful for the friendship we developed along the way. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Art in Motion!

We could not have asked for a better team to coordinate our unique wedding ceremony that was a surprise to our guests. After connecting with PU via Thumbtack back in mid-2023, we spoke with Matthew who immediately understood the importance of our vision. Our wedding was held at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, Ca. It started off as a friends and family screening of a short film (the Bride was the director, the Groom was a crew member). Then, during the post-film Q&A, we revealed to our guests that we were getting married right then and there in the theater. Not only did PU coordinate a film screening complete with red carpet, step & repeat photos, food, drink, DJ and more, but they helped transition into a full wedding ceremony. Meshawn ran point on everything: rehearsal, procession, recession, cake, etc. Stellar team members, Angel and Rakisha, executed everything flawlessly. Angel acted as the special events coordinator, making sure our tech was on point (sound, picture, graphics, everything!) and she even made a reel for us to post on our socials. PU was up for the challenge of our 2-in-1 surprise wedding/film screening, and they rose to that challenge with much aplomb. For what we asked for, they could've up-charged us greatly. PU made us feel heard and seen throughout the process. We wanted our wedding to be a collaboration between BIPOC businesses and creators celebrating what we can achieve when we work together. Thanks to PU for what they promised, perfection.

If you’re undecided about hiring a wedding planner, DO IT. If you don’t know if you need one, that means YOU DO. Furthermore, I highly recommend you book Christina with Ingobgo events. I met her at the Los Angeles Wedding Expo on Sept 24th, 2023. She was the only planner I spoke to at the expo that really took time to explain what a wedding process is like. I know that might sound silly but I felt pretty clueless and the extra energy she gave was very appreciated. At these expos there are hundreds of people filtering through and I felt like she was really passionate about her craft. In less than 2 weeks my then fiancé and I met with her in person and happily signed our contract with 134 days until it was time to say “I do.” Reasons why I loved working with her on my wedding: - She made decisions when I didn’t want to. I never grew up envisioning a wedding so I was pretty clueless for well, most things. I didn’t have a vision for flowers for instance. She crafted a proposal for my flower vision based on elements like favorite color, bridesmaid dresses etc. She literally would put things together and “say tell me if you love it, hate it, or any other feelings you have.” This helped me feel more comfortable to be authentic and honest along the wedding journey. - She negotiated rates for things I wouldn’t have fathomed as negotiable - She gave honest feedback to vendors and had tough conversations I didn’t have the energy for - She joined planning calls we had with our vendors (videographer/DJ) and managed vendor calls that weren’t necessary for us to be on (flowers, furniture) - She met with us in person more times than we anticipated which was great given that we were planning a wedding in 4 months. Meeting in person often isn’t necessary but when you’re moving quickly in a short period of time sometimes the humanizing measures really make the biggest difference like they did here. - She kept us on track with budget and payments. - She uses an app for organizing, designing and tracking your wedding. If you love google docs then you’ll love this process. I’m more of an excel gal and don’t use apps too often but I definitely appreciated the organization of the this! - She has a day of assistant Katie who was funny, and extremely helpful to all members of the wedding party. By the end of the 4 months my partner and I would commonly refer to Christina as our “wedding mom.” I feel sad that the wedding journey has come to an end but I am so happy with how everything transpired. My husband and I had an amazing time, and thanks to Christina we felt our evening was flawless (even though I forgot to bring my husbands bow tie so she had her assistant go get us one at the last hour!) I could keep going but I know this kudos is super long already. My final comment is that no one should have to go thru this process without a “wedding mom.” We will forever be grateful to Christina and all the support and TLC she gave us for our special day.

My husband and I knew we wanted a “day of coordinator” (so we thought it was called) but did not know exactly how much to prioritize or what to ask for. And then we pretty much stumbled upon Emily after posting in a local facebook group about needing a coordinator and we are so grateful we did. We’ve actually joked to one another that our only wedding regret is not having hired Emily to plan the whole thing. Emily is professional, personable, and an incredible problem-solver. Emily does coordination, which means she actually jumps on board a couple months in advance to get you organized and get all of the vendors together. However, it would be a mistake to say she only gets involved at that point—from the moment we chose Emily, she checked in consistently, asked how she could help, and gave us leads as we navigated picking vendors. When we hit the 8 week mark before the wedding, Emily began initiating more meetings and gathering all of the information she needed. We did a venue walk through and a meeting dedicated to decor. This is all to say—Emily has got your back. Additionally, she is always working behind the scenes to make sure everyone is on the same page. Leading up to the wedding, we had been very organized, but of course, in the week or so before the wedding, it felt like total chaos. We added people to our hair/makeup schedule. We had to add a last-minute vendor that totally changed the flow of our set-up. Suddenly three days before the wedding, the forecast called for rain. Emily took this all in stride. She reassured us that our feelings about anything were valid and then promised she would figure out whatever we wanted to have happen. She always had multiple solution-options for every moment of chaos we felt. And then once we had decided what we wanted, she made it happen! On the day of the wedding, I was completely worry-free because I knew Emily had everything under control. Apparently a few things went wrong that neither my husband nor I knew about until later because Emily just handled it (she did check in about one thing that had been important to us, but when she asked about it, she came with multiple solution options for me to pick from). She also goes above and beyond to make anything right if there is a need to do so (all wedding have things go wrong!). All-in-all, you want a coordinator who is on top of things, but you also want one that you want to spend your day with and Emily strikes that balance perfectly. We were actually sad when our wedding ended and we realized we wouldn’t be chatting with her as regularly!

I was that person that did not think I needed a wedding planner! I decided last minute I needed one and I had interviewed 4 people and Christena was the only one that made me feel comfortable! Christena helped keep me organized, in control, and confident that I would be able to get through this! She brought things to my attention that I had no clue I needed to do. During the rehearsal dinner she got everyone in line and made sure everyone knew exactly what they were doing. The day of the wedding Christena and her assistant Jill knew literally handled everything from making sure my vision was brought to life, to making sure everything ran accordingly to plan, and making sure all items that were mine were organized and set aside for my family to gather at the end of the night. I cannot sing Christena’s praises enough! You are getting more than a wedding planner with her! If you are on the fence about this do not be, it is the best money well spent!!!

If you read any review, read this one. For context, I'm a producer, my entire career is planning big scale events, productions, and hiring people. We went through 3 coordinators before finding Tara and it was because I had such a high standard for who I wanted to help me on my wedding day. Tara was, hands down, the best thing that could have happened to us for our wedding. We had multiple setbacks and last minute changes and none of them threw Tara off her step. She was honest with us 100% of the time about what was possible and what wasn't possible. And whenever either of us had concerns, Tara's response was always exactly what we needed to hear. She assured us that everything would work out and she would take care of it and she absolutely did. We did all of the decorations for our wedding ourselves and relied on Tara to set it up and execute our vision. Not only were we both FLOORED walking down the aisle seeing what she had done, it was actually better than we could have ever imagined. Additionally, after the wedding I found out that there was an issue with our credit card that almost prevented the vendor from delivering the items on time - Tara took care of it without telling us (the best thing a wedding coordinator can do) and I really appreciated how it was handled without needing to ask us. I can't say this enough, Tara was the best thing that ever happened to us for our wedding. Truly I don't think we paid her enough. We are so incredibly grateful for what she's done for us and if we were to ever have a huge event in need of planning, I'd hire her in a heartbeat. Stop looking for a coordinator, just hire her. If you see this same review on multiple sites, it is because I will never stop copying and pasting how amazing this woman and her business is. Wishing you all as great of a wedding as we had.
