WHEN I WAS 15 MY DAD BOUGHT ME A CAMERA AND I QUICKLY FELT IN LOVE WITH THE ABILITY TO CAPTURE MEMORIES AND FREEZE MOMENTS IN TIME. A FEW YEARS LATER, I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN NEW YORK CITY BUT THAT LOVE FOR CAPTURING AUTHENTIC MOMENTS WITH REAL PEOPLE HAS NOT CHANGED. Hi! I'm Meghan. I've had a love for photography since my parents bought me my first camera for Christmas in 2001. I took pictures of anyone and anything that sat still for more than .03 seconds. The more pictures I took, the more I loved it. It became a passion of mine, but it wasn't until later that I had the dream of starting my own business. In the meantime, I teach middle school - 7th grade Language Arts to be exact. Yes, it's exactly as crazy as you're imagining, likely even more so. Teaching has taught me two things: patience and how to laugh at myself.

Laura has a conviction. That is: that wedding photography be about exceptional imagery, period. She is inspired by documentary photographs with multiple layers of interest, and in both candid and composed images that are sincere and lasting representations of people and of a time.

I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

My passion for photography started at a very young age. Polaroid,Kodak, disposable cameras anything I could get my hands on for as long as I can remember. After working for several years in photojournalism and editing I decided to make the switch to a full time wedding photographer in 2010. I haven’t looked back since.
