We are CityLux Studios - a husband + wife founded photography team. Boston is our home but we love to travel and can often be found in New York, Newport and Florida. We photograph a variety of portrait sessions from marriage proposals to weddings, elopements and boudoir. Sarah's passion for raw emotion + Peter's strong attention to detail blend to make an unmatched experience for each client. It's so important that we make each of our couples feel confident, comfortable and completely at ease.

Awarded Best of Zola
I had the most incredible experience with Kyra from CityLux Studios. I’m not originally from New England and she helped me narrow down the best areas for pictures in Boston. She was so fun to work with and truly made this experience so wonderful. My fiancé hates getting pictures done and he even said he had such a great time. I am getting married back home in Iowa and was originally only going to use CityLux for engagement photos, however, it was such an incredible experience we are going to use them for our wedding next year. I can’t imagine having anyone else shoot our wedding. I felt so comfortable and she was able to truly capture the love in our relationship in photos. Attached are some of my favorite photos from our shoot. I would recommend CityLux to everyone for any occasions.

Hi, I'm Eugene, a professional photographer from Europe. I've been doing photography for more than 14 years and I had an interesting path already: I've worked in Minsk, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, and Thailand. Currently working in the Tri-state area.

Awarded Best of Zola
It was awesome working with Eugene!! The results were exactly not what we intended or planned, they were actually MUCH BETTER. My husband and I had a set place, but due to unforeseen events, we had to sort of improvise And change our photography setting, but thankfully Eugene has an eye for these things, and found much more beautiful spot! My husband and I love the fact that Eugene was not rigid, but he was very flexible with us which help us be more comfortable with him. If you were doubting, that’s fine, but not with Eugene Krasnaok. Your time and money is safe with him.

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Rivelle Media is a photography and videography company based in New York. Every couple, with their distinctive love story, transforms into a canvas where we paint with the play of light and shadow. Published in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler.

Awarded Best of Zola
Rivelle Media was the best investment we made for our wedding. Not only are their photos stunning, but the entire team brought such a calming, professional presence to our day. Anna stepped in like a superhero when things got stressful. Our venue coordinator had a scheduling mix-up, and Anna quickly adjusted our timeline so everything still ran smoothly - without us even having to worry about it! Their level of care and commitment went beyond anything we expected. They noticed little things, like fixing my dress before photos and ensuring we had a moment alone after the ceremony to soak it all in. When we received our photos, we couldn’t believe how incredible they were. They perfectly captured every moment, from the big ones like our first kiss to the candid, quiet moments that showed the love and joy we felt. Rivelle Media didn’t just take photos; they gave us memories we’ll cherish forever. They’re not just photographers- they’re a dream team.” These longer reviews highlight the team’s creativity, professionalism, and helpfulness while maintaining a heartfelt and personal tone.

Millie Elangbam Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. My journey has naturally directed me toward wedding photography, enabling me to translate your love into art. To me, nothing compares to distilling love into photographs.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had been eyeing Millie Elangbam's photography long before we even considered doing a City Hall wedding. Once we decided on a City Hall wedding, we immediately reached out to Millie in hopes of booking her to photograph it. And we're so glad we did! Millie was extremely organized and communicative throughout the whole process. When we brought up some accessibility concerns with the City Clerk building, she was proactive in getting more information for us so that we could be well-prepared on the day of. As we went through the plan for the day, her experience with City Hall weddings was evident as she accounted for our entire time together, basically down to the minute. She was also super transparent on the parts of the schedule that were not as concrete, which we appreciated. On the day of, Millie was prompt and really great at moving things along so that we stayed on schedule. She was also really wonderful at helping us keep track of moving parts (i.e. family members) and making sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there, all while taking beautiful photos of our special day. The sneak peek photos came very soon after the wedding day, with the full gallery coming pretty soon after that. We were so happy with the quick turnaround, and even happier with the photos and how they came out :) Our family and friends loved the photos as well. We're so grateful to Millie for all of her help and would highly recommend booking her!

Bryan Sargent is an award-winning wedding and engagement photographer from New York City. To Bryan, nothing compares to the privilege and fun of capturing the cherished memories of a couple on their wedding day!

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Bryan for our intimate courthouse wedding in New York City just before Thanksgiving, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!! From the start, Bryann was incredibly responsive and professional. Despite it being a simple, yet meaningful wedding at the courthouse, we still wanted to ensure the moment was captured beautifully. On the day of our wedding, Bryan came to our apartment and took pictures of us as we were getting ready for the big day. With our three friends in tow, Bryan followed the group through our neighborhood to the subway, to the Clerk’s Office for the ceremony, and then for some pictures at the waterfront. He was able to capture every moment along the way and captured the best NYC wedding pictures one could ask for. If you’re planning a courthouse wedding (or any wedding) in New York City, I can’t recommend Bryan enough. He is not only incredibly talented but also incredibly kind and dedicated to making sure your special day is captured in the most beautiful way. We will cherish these memories for a lifetime! Kim-Trang Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kim-Trang Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. From the start, Kim’s communication style was ahead of the game - she was warm, friendly, and we were excited to have her on our team. Kim is talented and committed and truly captured the joy and intimacy of our special day. She connected with us and our family in a way that felt more like having a friend there than just a vendor. One of our favorite touches was the sweet Polaroids she left with our wedding cards - the perfect surprise when we were feeling a bit of the post-wedding blues. We couldn't be happier with the sneak peeks we've seen so far and can't wait to see the full gallery. Kim-Trang Photography went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly unforgettable.

Dasha Murashka

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

Awarded Best of Zola
If you are reading this, go book Dasha! The wedding photographer was the most important vendor for us. After talking to many photographers, we ended up booking Dasha and that's the best decision we've ever made. Through our engagement session, we got so comfortable in front of her camera and the photos turned out great. Ahead of the wedding, I had a final meeting with Dasha and you could tell that she cares about her couples and gives good advice on the timeline. On the wedding day, her professionalism and creativity made the day so easy for us, and we didn't need to give her a long shortlist because we trusted her. When we received the full gallery, we were so BLOWN AWAY. The editing style speaks for itself. We also loved the way she documented our special - it feels very natural and authentic. Many of our families and friends asked us who our photographer was, and we cannot recommend Dasha enough. Thank you, Dasha!!

Tuan and his team were very professional, friendly, and did a great job capturing candid shots and unique photos of our wedding venue. They made us feel comfortable, which was very important to us. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a less conventional look to their wedding album, or anyone who wants to work with vintage cameras and analog film.
