Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite to get ready.

We absolutely loved this venue. Working w Pam was very easy. The ability to get in the set up the day before was a lifesaver. I would highly recommend this venue. Only downside is there's no way to heat up food and no ice on site. We made it work and would recommend Lazy Z Ranch to anyone. Thank you!!!!

She was always available to answer any questions I had before the wedding. We met a month prior to the day to discuss the timeline of the day which helped make the day stress-free! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a dream wedding location. It was truly a day to remember! We chose Food for Thought, the in-house caterer for Earlyhouse and the food was nothing short of spectacular. The menu options were diverse and perfectly customizable to suit our tastes and dietary needs, making it easy to create a meal that all of our guests loved. All of the vendors and staff at Earlyhouse made our wedding day memorable and we highly recommend Earlyhouse for your wedding or next event!

Kim Hayden was amazing to work with. Kim thought of (and remembered) every detail I told her. She was 100% on board with my vision and made it happen. I was able to use my own china which I had collected for my special day. We got married on the 10th Green, had the cocktail hour under the Pavilion and then our reception was in the Ballroom. The Glenmore had a champagne wall for my use, linens, lanterns, bars, and even candle holders. We added some of our own touches, but Glenmore is full service. From the prosecco wall, the the lighted hedge behind our cake, to putting our printed menus in the perfect spot. Our wedding was perfection. The views are phenomenal. The food was delicious - we served buffet style to make sue of my china and the kitchen did it all right. We had plated salads (tomato and mozzarella) then buffet steak, shrimp in grits, gnocchi with vegetables, roasted potatoes and asparagus. Everything was amazing. The Glenmore was so accommodating. They let us add a sparkling rose and rose to our wine choices - which felt so right with our theme. They had a hedge to put behind our cake table, which we added a personalized sign to, flowers and fairy lights. Glenmore let us have a photo booth in the ball room lobby, and we used their gorgeous farm tables to set out framed photos and favors. I had the absolute best time at my wedding. I highly recommend the Glenmore as a venue. It has gorgeous views, super friendly staff, they are diligent and 100% know how to throw a wedding. I have no regrets entrusted them with my special day and I have the absolute best memories. Thank you Kim and Molly!

Keswick Hunt Club was the perfect spot for our November 2023 Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Reception! We had about 115 people at the welcome reception, and there was plenty of space for mingling. The wraparound porch was lovely, and having the stage there for music or a photo wall is a great addition! Arnold (the ops manager there) is wonderful, and his wife Judy and her team are availble for delicious in-house catering! If you're looking to pair it with the perfect florist who has worked there many times & knows all the ways to perfectly enhance it, go with Gregory Britt Designs (also in Keswick)!

Trump Winery couples benefit from indoor and outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour and reception settings, in well-appointed, heated and air-conditioned, luxury venues. Less than a mile away from both the Barn & Pavilion and the Grand Hall is our Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery, a 26,000-square foot, 11 bedroom mansion that provides overnight lodging for guests and a honeymoon night option for couples.

Our decision to elope at Trump Winery in Charlottesville turned out to be the best choice we could have made. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to make our day perfect. Every detail was handled with care, and we truly felt like their priority. The venue itself is stunning. The chapel on the property is a masterpiece, offering a level of intimacy and charm that we couldn’t find anywhere else. The fresco on the ceiling is absolutely breathtaking, a true work of art that made the space feel even more special. The large bay windows and balcony created incredible opportunities for photography, while the pews and altar added an elegant, timeless touch. Speaking of photography, we were thrilled with our choice of Aaron Watson Photography. He was a true professional, expertly navigating less-than-ideal weather to capture photos that exceeded all our expectations. The wedding package we selected was seamless and stress-free. It included gorgeous flowers, a kind and professional officiant, and every element we needed to make our day unforgettable. Our stay at the Albemarle Estate was equally exceptional. Between the pristine grounds, beautifully appointed rooms, and the privacy of the cabin we stayed in, the estate made us feel like we had our own little paradise. With only about 11 rooms on the property, it offered a level of exclusivity that was especially memorable for our New Year’s Eve wedding. We couldn’t have been luckier to host our wedding here. The property’s uniqueness, from the incredible chapel to the estate’s picturesque surroundings, far surpassed any other venue we explored. Additionally, the entire elopement package was an extraordinary value. For under 10,000, it included the venue, officiant, photographer, floral arrangements, two nights in the cabin, hair and makeup brought directly to us, our wedding attire, and delicious meals in the fine dining room. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, making our wedding as easy as it was magical. If you’re considering hosting your wedding at Trump Winery, we cannot recommend it highly enough. The experience was truly one of a kind, and we’ll cherish the memories forever.

My husband and I got married at Montalto in May 2022, and it was the wedding of our dreams. We also happened to meet at Montalto at a UVA reunion in 2017, so it was extra special to us and we were so excited to return. Nothing can match the beautiful views from the mountaintop of Charlottesville, Monticello, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Monticello team went above and beyond for us, as intense storms were forecasted the week of our wedding. And it was indeed a rainy weekend, but we were still able to celebrate at the mountaintop and incredible views, including rainbows. The indoor facilities with the balcony were picture perfect for our wedding day prep and was still out of the way of the set up going on downstairs. The staff was very prompt at communication and working with all our vendors to make our dream day come true. Absolutely magical! We were married at Dover Hall at the end of September and are still glowing from the day. We knew we had found our venue from the moment we walked in the door. Common House did an excellent job for our winter wedding of about 60 folks. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and they worked closely with us to personalize the day so that it reflected who we are and some of our creative ideas. The venue has the perfect mix of a fun dance floor area as well as several lounge spots for folks who need a breather. Many guests came up to us to rave about the food and how the entire staff were amazing. Dalton as the event lead brought so much positivity and enthusiasm, answering many of our questions and coming up with ideas on how to make the event even more great. He prevented us from any stress. The actual staff day-of were also wonderful and many of our guests came up to us to rave about everyone from servers to bartenders. Highly recommend Common House for your events! And don’t sleep on the chicken biscuits.

I don’t even know what to say that will convey how absolutely stunning and perfect this venue is. We had our ceremony in the pines, which was a stunning backdrop. The barn is a beautiful combination of elegant and rustic. The bridal suite was so much fun to get ready in with my bridesmaids. As incredible as the venue itself was, Whitney Lipscomb was the part of the Barn at Timber Creek that had the biggest impact on us. As the venue owner, she provided day of coordination services to us. She was SO calming–every time we talked to her, I swear my blood pressure dropped by at least 20 points–a big deal when in the middle of wedding planning. She would listen to what we wanted to do as far as decor, and she would be supportive of our ideas but also make suggestions if she thought something else might work better for our vision. We were slow in booking the farmhouse nearby for the groomsmen to get ready in and missed out, and she helped us find another location for them to get ready. She supported us through issues with some of our other vendors. The day of our wedding, she and her team were incredible. They set up the venue exactly as we had envisioned, and they anticipated needs, found solutions, and answered questions. We have absolutely 0 regrets about this venue, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an elegant wedding venue with plenty of nature and kind people.

Camp Holiday Trails is such a wonderful, unique wedding venue. It has has an Everyone-is-Welcome summer camp vibe. There are plenty of accommodations for you, your family, your wedding party and more to stay there on site and make a weekend out of it, so you can spend quality time together. From a photographer's point of view, there were plenty of beautiful options around the property for doing portraits. You can do photos up by these very old, historic barns up on a hill, or down by the creek, with a pretty bridge or down by the lake where there is an array of colorful canoes!

My entire bridal party and I stayed here my wedding weekend and it was fabulous! The house is so large so no one felt on top of eachother with multiple seating areas and common spaces all beautifully decorated Not to mention my cousin and I got to wake everyone up with our piano playing in the formal living room on the day of our wedding. The property is absolutely gorgeous and I felt like I was in a Nancy Myers movie while staying here. The landscaping is so well done and the massive kitchen was so helpful in feeding everyone while we were getting our hair and makeup done! Not to mention it was so great being able to have my dog there with me!

Everything about our planning process and wedding day at Pippin Hill was simply magical. Pippin Hill truly knows how to make a wedding day smooth, seamless, and beautiful. Part of why we chose to get married at Pippin Hill was the breathtaking scenery, but also because of their many plan B options. We knew there was a chance it could rain during our outdoor wedding ceremony, and their rain option, the Veranda, is gorgeous as well. Somehow we ended up dodging Hurricane Dorian’s precipitation for our September 6th wedding and we were able to get married on the lawn with 122 of our closest family members and friends as witnesses. Davis and her team were incredible, the food was exceptional, and overall we just had the best day ever! I loved getting ready in the bridal loft with my girls. On the day-of, I honestly felt 0 stress because I knew the team at Pippin Hill would take care of everything perfectly. I enjoyed every moment of the day. These people are professionals and will put every worry that you may have to rest. I can not recommend Pippin Hill enough!

My son and his wife chose The Pavilion on Lakeland Farm for their 60 person wedding. Janet was helpful from beginning to end with advice on timelines and vendors. The number of extras offered for this venue was impressive. She acted as the Day-Of coordinator, provided the tables and linens and parking attendants. There was room for the bridal party and groomsmen to get ready without seeing each other. I would call it the perfect venue.

Absoluetly LOVED this venue! The moment I first stepped on the property, I fell in love and *knew* this was the place my husband and I were going to get married. Angela and her staff set everything up just the way I wanted it, and it went so smoothly! There are *so* many different options of locations to have the ceremony. Due Sorelle provides plenty of tables and chairs, and the staff will set them up for you - one less thing for you to have to worry about on your big day! I also loved that we had access to the barn the night before the wedding so I could set up the reception and not have to worry about finding someone to do that the morning of. Angela was a bit confusing to communicate with at times? Just some random things here and there - asking for details, scheduling things, and some either miscommunication or lack thereof. She was super sweet! I had just wished the communication process were a little smoother. Overall I loved Due Sorelle and would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

Greenock Manor is a 150 year old Farm house with towering giant trees (they are grand old grandpa's and we love them!) The Manor is a beautiful restored traditional American Victorian style farm house with a delightful wrap around balcony. We aim at a homely feel for our bridal families to reduce stress. We include a ton of props - so please visit us - we look so forward to meeting you We set up the ceremony chairs for our couples as well as the tables and chairs for the reception area before you arrive for your wedding day to reduce stress. Any decor items you need are set up by us such as shepherd hooks, easels, signs and much more. We also include lawn games and we have a firepit for use just to add extra ambience. Best part we are across the road from the nearest hotel so guests can walk to our venue AND up to 16 guests can sleep over at Greenock for the whole weekend - so many more happy memories. We can include a planner to manage your wedding on your wedding day too!

spent a whole weekend here for my wedding. If you're looking for a stress free and organized wedding Chanel is your girl. She had a complete timeline for all things and makes sure the bride doesn't have to do a thing. Her venue is very beautiful, vintage, and just perfect! The rooms are beautiful, however the only downfall we had were the beds were not comfortable at all which made it difficult to fall asleep. We had her husband Jim officiate our wedding as well, he is just as helpful and sweet as Chanel is.

The Depot in downtown Orange, Virginia is everything you could hope for in a special event venue. I have had the privilege of shooting 2 separate events in The Depot's event spaces, and I hope to return for more. Each space within the depot is thoughtfully designed with beautiful details, making it the perfect backdrop for any special celebration. I typically try to avoid indoor venues due to a general lack of quality lighting/backdrop opportunities as a photographer, but I have loved every minute that I've worked at The Depot. Everywhere you look presents a new backdrop opportunity, and the spaces are filled with ample natural light during the daytime. Working with the Grelen Events team is always a breeze, and they are eager to resolve any day-of questions or concerns. You really can't go wrong booking The Depot for your next celebration/event!

Today, Tiffin Farm continues to be a working farm as we raise a herd of Red Devon cattle and steward the land. With abundant natural lighting, the barn is immersed in the center of the farm with views to the Blue Ridge mountains, our pond, and surrounding pasture. Guests are able to watch the sunset over the Blue Ridge while seated during the reception. Just steps from the barn, the Ceremony Lawn is framed by quintessential Virginia views and is equipped with power outlets for a hassle-free ceremony. We don't have enough incredible things to say about Guildford Farm. We paired our event with Katie's planning services which is a must-do; however, i'm separating the venue review from the specific owner's planning (she was stellar). The venue includes both the reception/wedding space, and also a home, and I am including both in this review. 1, VALUE- Incredible value for a full weekend and on-site lodging. The amount we and our bridal party saved in hotel cost more than makes up for the full-weekend fee, and what could possibly be better than hanging out with your favorite friends all weekend? If you're looking for winery-aesthetic with more freedom and lower cost than most C-ville winery venues, this is your spot. The best part is this reception/wedding space is a blank canvas and can be dressed up several ways, so you aren't cornered into a vibe (ex. don't have to go rustic, don't have to go glam, etc). 2, PHOTOS - gorgeous photo spots. They have a classic bridal suite, 2 balconies, mountain backdrops, field backdrops, a pond, and a home with so much vintage character packed into aesthetic rooms - three of which are themed by color which makes for adorable photos with 10/10 natural morning lighting. The venue includes a masculine den for groomsman photos. The arbor is built-in which also saves time and improves photos. 3, FUN - As of writing this review, the venue comes with over-sized games (ex. jenga, connect-4) which makes cocktail hour way more fun. It also comes with a bar which saves lots of for rentals. If you like fishing, there is a pond, and trails for hiking. There is also a sick basement space for groomsmen to stash away and hang out all day. If you want a "royalty" moment, there is an interior balcony from the bridal suite where you can go watch the party (or bridal party entrances) from far above. 4, PRIVATE - There is nothing around to cause any sort of noise disturbance or traffic or wedding crashers. There is shopping/target about 15 minutes away, so you can run out to get emergency items if needed. The stars at night are super bright due to minimal light pollution. 5, EASY - If you have anxiety about timelines being crunched, your reception ending too early, or forgetting your rings in your bedroom, Guildford is the best possible venue to battle those fears. The layout allows for easy movement between spaces which minimizes risk of timeline-derailment. While we didn't run into weather issues, I would say the venue can moderately flex for rain - they have backup plans, and while obviously any rain plan is not ideal, your wedding attendees wouldn't be soaked and you could still have a pretty ceremony/reception. It's also high on a hill, which means ground would be less muddy. Will return to the review to upload photos if Zola allows me to.

The natural beauty and spaciousness of the venue, with its gorgeous views, perfectly complemented our wedding vision. On the big day, Kristan made sure everything ran smoothly so I felt relaxed rather than stressed. She brought my dream wedding to life by making sure all the details were organized and set up just as I had hoped. King Family Vineyards is a perfect location for a wedding! The view from the Ceremony Lawn is amazing! We have provided florals for ceremonies at all times of the year and it is always beautiful! In the spring- the fruit trees at distant orchards may be blooming- in summer, the mountains are covered in greenery- in fall the trees are so colorful- and in winter, you may be lucky enough to have snow on the Mountains! Amanda, the wedding coordinador is wonderful! She makes every effort to make the wedding day go smoothly and efficiently! She is generous with her time and creativity!
