About this venue

Camp Holiday Trails is a beautiful 70+ acre nonprofit camp located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Open year-round, we engage children and teens with medical needs. Special event and wedding rentals support our inspiring mission. Many joyful, loving, fun and playful weddings have taken place with us and the wedding weekend with lodging is a favorite "wedding destination" package of choice.

Our outdoor Pavilion features an indoor/outdoor space adjacent to a field and campfire. Picnic tables can be used or moved to make way for your rentals.

We provide an exclusive weekend at camp for up to 122 overnight guests (our average wedding size is 100-150) - includes dining hall, pavilion, lodges, cabins, campfires and all outdoor spaces. We even open the sport shed for you - bocce, croquet and more.

Over all the venue was great everything was well kept. A little packed in the cabins due to the school supplies being in there but overall very clean and easy to communicate with the venue.

Camp was the perfect fit for our wedding. We made use of the space in several ways, and our guests were thrilled to be attending a party that felt a little different than most weddings! The camp staff made it easy to plan, do site visits, and had the spaces clean and ready for us. We felt so good knowing that our money was spent supporting a good cause. We're already thinking about what other kinds of events we could hold there!

This venue is amazing. You have access to the entire camp - pavillion, dining hall, fire pits, lodges and cabins. We had about half of our guests spend the entire weekend at the camp with us. They even staffed the rock climbing wall for our guests Saturday morning before our wedding. There are so many options to make your event exactly what you want it, and the staff is so great and easy to work with. Best of all- the fees go towards sending special needs children to camp. Cannot recommend it enough!!

Camp Holiday Trails is such a wonderful, unique wedding venue. It has has an Everyone-is-Welcome summer camp vibe. There are plenty of accommodations for you, your family, your wedding party and more to stay there on site and make a weekend out of it, so you can spend quality time together. From a photographer's point of view, there were plenty of beautiful options around the property for doing portraits. You can do photos up by these very old, historic barns up on a hill, or down by the creek, with a pretty bridge or down by the lake where there is an array of colorful canoes!

Yes - if a cash bar, ABC requires a special event permit. If BYO or you provide alcohol, we do not ask for permit. Wine bottles allowed by beer must be in a can. Liquor bottles allowed but at the bars you set up.

We have limited parking close to main venue but lots of parking available with creative shuttling. Prior couples have provided their plans to share.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible at each building and within, at bathrooms. Our general grounds are NOT accessible for all mobilities w/o vehicle or golfcart.

Exclusive use of our camp facility and the buildings in contract. Details on buildings, grounds and more are in our contract.

If a one day event - from 9 am - 11 pm; if a 3-day event - from day 1 at 9 am through day 3 at 12 noon (however often there is flexibility.)

Our camp facility is uniquely situated within 25 minutes of the Charlottesville Regional Airport and within 15 minutes of both Amtrak and Greyhound stations. We are also 2 hours from Washington DC and area airports and 1 hour from Richmond, VA.

We ask for proof of event insurance that may be available within your homeowner's insurance policy or we can provide a broker to assist in obtaining.
