We began serving Charlottesville with French and Virginia-inspired cooking at our restaurant, l’etoile, in 1993. Our catering business grew out of that experience, and out of our desire to take part in the celebrations, the rituals, and the ceremonies of people throughout the Central Virginia community. Catering allows us to reach, care for, and serve a larger audience, and to customize consistently excellent culinary experiences for our clients. We have a history of procuring the finest, freshest ingredients for the meals we create and serve, and access to those ingredients through relationships we’ve cultivated for more than 20 years.

Perfection from start to finish
Vickie and Mark of L'Etoile made our wedding incredible from the moment we first started discussions with them. They were incredibly knowledgeable, knowing all of the important logistics that will matter during the day, caring, ensuring that all guests (and the married couple) were fed, and flexible, making changes with us as we moved through the planning process. The food was delicious and our tasting with Vickie and Mark was probably the highlight of our planning process. They worked with various allergies and dietary restrictions and made sure that the night flowed seamlessly. I also want to highlight that Vickie is incredibly kind and supportive of her staff, making sure that they were learning great skills in a supportive environment. As someone who has worked food service and catering before, seeing this made me feel even better about our choice to work with them.

We used L'etoile for catering at my daughter's wedding...they are such a nice couple and very accommodating to any requests. The appetizers and dinner were absolutely delicious and beautiful; everyone was very professional and everything was perfect and we highly recommend L'eoiile.

As a former wedding planner, I worked with many caterers over the decades - and L'etoile was always on the top of my dream list. Vickie and Mark are dedicated to their clients, their staff, and to each other. They run an amazing catering operation and can be relied upon to deliver each and every time. They are strong in menu concept, logistics, and their food is delicious and creative. They are kind, responsive, and wonderful to be around. Highly recommend them for all couples.
Delicious food!
Vickie and Mark are so amazing to work with! We did family style and it was the best decision so everyone can choose what they wanted and didn't have to get up from the table! The food was delicious!! We are still getting compliments on it! Their staff is top notch and so professional! Everything was just perfect!
