The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. A Jeffersonian pool house with a hexagonal raised dome presides over a circular pool with bluestone terraces and a limestone balustrade. Our beautifully renovated Ballroom was designed with you in mind—it provides a blank canvas to transform into whatever vision you love (and has beautiful local reclaimed wooden floors)! For outdoor ceremony, we have two beautiful options. The first is on the 10th tee. This location overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The other outdoor option is the Glenmore Pavilion. Designed by the team behind Pippin Hill, this beautiful, new open-air pavilion overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and it is covered so you would not need to worry about renting a tent for your outdoor space. This location is perfect for both ceremony and reception.

The Hotel John Marshall opened in 1929 as the largest hotel in Virginia. Its rooms welcomed Elizabeth Taylor, Mary Tyler Moore, and Elvis Presley along with political figures such as Presidents Nixon, Ford, and Carter. After sitting vacant for over 20 years (save a few attempts to open) the building recently underwent an $80 Million renovation, spanning two years of construction to strip it back to the bones and restore it to its original 1920's grandeur.
