We hired the amazing team at Coordinated Collective to help coordinate our wedding. We had been connected to her through our neighbors, who has also used the coordinated collective for their wedding. We have to say that hiring Ja’el and her team (Molly and Jessica) was the single most valuable investment of our wedding. Ja’el is extremely professional and has a process and system that ensured that all of our desires and wishes were captured and communicated to all of our vendors, wedding party, family and friends. We had several calls with Ja’el leading up to our wedding, where we discussed and finalized some of the major details of our wedding. Ja’el also was available to offer perspective, make recommendations, and answer some of our minor questions as well. She was extremely attentive, quick to respond, and clear on setting and communicating expectations with us. Ja’el’s process, timeline, and consistent urging ensures that every detail of our wedding was planned and communicated to our vendors 2 weeks prior to our event. This included photography and videography, the DJ, the venue and catering, hair and makeup, transportation, flowers, decor, lighting, cake baker, officiant, and wedding party. This also included a full inventory of everything that was ours and/or needed to return after the event. This ensured that we could spend the weeks leading up to our event communicating to and welcoming our guests into town as well as answering minor questions. During the rehearsal, Ja’el effectively communicated our vision to our wedding party and set the tone, making sure that everyone knew and respected that the day was ours. On the day of the event, it was clear that Ja’el and her team were prepared. They arrived on time, ensured that all of our vendors knew where to be and when and delivered on their services, and handled everything with flying colors. All of the preparation, leading up to the day allows us to feel comfortable and confident that Ja’el and her team knew what we wanted and could deal with any issues as they came. If there were major issues, we certainly didn’t know about it. There were a couple minor issues that we noticed during the day but Ja’el and her team handled everything. Behind the incredible professionalism, the coordinated collective team was so fun to work with. They even showed off some dance moves towards the end of our reception. Our day was absolutely amazing and we literally could not have pulled it off without the Coordinated Collective. We weren’t the only ones to notice either. Even some of our friends and family have expressed how impressed they were with Ja’el. We would 1000% hire them again and would 10000% recommend them to others.

Lissa and her team was absolutely wonderful from the initial contact up to the end of our wedding day! No matter what kind of wedding you're having, she will make you and your partner feel like you have all of her attention as the most important couple. Throughout the whole process, she was so professional and supportive, even with not as traditional ideas. She had such a quick response time, usually within a day, or a couple hours, and sometimes even sooner! Her attention to detail in making my timeline was also amazing and I felt that we were able to have the whole day planned to the dot before the big day. On the wedding day, she made sure everything ran so smoothly and we were not stressed out at all! We had some small hiccups with the layouts that our venue had set up, but a quick word from Lissa had them fixing the issue. She's the perfect amount of assertiveness, professionalism, and friendliness with everyone, including the guests. The largest thing that stood out to us was how much all of our other vendors loved Lissa and working with her, and we could see it throughout the day. Our venue had restrictions such as a short setup window, but Lissa communicated with them and navigated the situation very well to make everything go smoothly. The day of execution of all vendors setting up went flawlessly and Meghan setup all my decor and centerpieces beautifully. Not to mention she was checking in on me and my husband throughout to make sure we had eaten, had drinks, and that we were doing okay! She also helped me with changing out of my dress later in the night! I can honestly say Meghan was the BEST decision I ever made. Penderview Events truly went above and beyond to make our day PERFECT. As a DIY and meticulous bride, we knew Anna was the one we would entrust with our vision the moment we had our phone consultation; she was so incredibly sweet and enthusiastic about our big day, and I immediately felt a sense of ease that she will be able to handle all the shenanigans and i can pass her the torch with ease. Although she was hired for "day of", she assisted us in any way possible months leading to and made sure we were on top of all the important tasks leading up to the day of (i.e. vendors contact info, finalizing timeline for the morning/day of, etc.). My big day unfortunately started off disastrous (I became car sick), so I was unable to give guidance with the decor during set up. But since one of the tasks Anna asked me weeks prior was for a list with all the decor and how/where I wanted them placed, Penderview legit made my vision come true!!!!!!!! Penderview was so attentive, that they were even able to place some items which I gave no instructions for (i.e. last minute decided that we wanted wedding party to sit during the ceremony, so I made name placement cards for the reserved chairs, and without mentioning it, they were placed on the chairs in processional order). Penderview was able to execute every event and details on the timeline FLAWLESSLY, and I was able to enjoy the event with ease knowing that everything was in such capable hands. We felt and saw how invested Penderview was throughout the day in making it perfect for us, especially the attention to details and handling all the logistics smoothly behind-the-scenes. I also really appreciated Anna’s assertiveness when hiccups would arise (ie, making sure guests wouldnt be walking in while were ready down the aisle/stay out of view, wedding party prioritized drinking and forgot to come back for portraits; flower girls kept running infront of camera during portraits, and so many other headaches i did not want to deal with, etc.) Not only was Anna able to accomplish and execute my vision beyond expectations, but she was also my emotional support and my right-hand lady, making sure I was always hydrated. Anna’s empathetic and kind demeanor made her feel more like a close friend than just a ‘day of coordinator’. Hiring Penderview was the best investment we made. Thank you so much for making our day magical and we will forever be grateful to Penderview!!!

One thing that I wanted on my wedding day was for everything to be timely. I didn’t want any delays, any ceremony running over time and STH made sure of that. So although I did the 'virtual' package I never felt like I was alone or like Veronica wasn't there to help (she even video chatted with me at the final venue walkthrough 30 days before the wedding!) Even if you think you don't need help or it's not worth it, I promise that when your mental sanity is dwindling, especially towards the end with everything going on, you will be SOO happy you chose Veronica for either in-person or virtual wedding planning!

Kolena & her team at Blue Sapphire Events are STELLAR. My husband and I have hectic jobs and I am an evening student which meant we needed all the help we could get to plan our wedding! In stepped Kolena, who helped us design, plan, and execute the most perfect day. We wanted to put up a sailcloth tent and hold our entire event outside at a family member's home. That involved bringing in EVERYTHING - the tents, the tables & chairs, the bars, the plates & glassware, the restroom trailers! and so much more. Kolena managed everything for us - from vendor sourcing to rental coordination to the burdensome permitting process for the tent. She was onsite for every site visit, the tent/rental setup, the rehearsal, and the day itself. From the very beginning, Kolena was capable, calm, and so thoughtful. We were married in May but I don't like pinks & pastels (your traditional spring wedding palettes). Without missing a beat, Kolena designed a gorgeous, lush green & white palette with black accents. She listens and really understands her clients -- it felt so US. Because our event was at a private property, we couldn't accommodate parking for our guests. I was particularly worried about ensuring the shuttles were reliable & ready for our guests. Kolena handled the entire process - from sourcing different quotes through the contract process and on the day-of to make sure everything went smoothly. On the day of our wedding, Kolena seamlessly helmed a vendor team of close to 25 people. She brilliantly suggested we put ponchos on guest chairs, in case it started to rain during our ceremony (it did) and transitioned our cocktail hour from outdoors to under the reception tent at lightning speed. As you can see, I have endless good things to say about Kolena & her team at Blue Sapphire Events. She works harder than almost anyone I've met, she's creative, she truly cares about every one of her clients, and I'm so, so grateful that she lent us her talents to make our wedding day perfect!

Throughout the planning process and on the day, there were times when I just needed emotional support, and she was there for me. Her communication is prompt, consistent, and thorough. She got back to me on every email in a timely manner with all the answers I needed. I didn't realize at the time but strong communication was probably the MOST important aspect that made working with vendors 1000x better, and Diane excelled at it. Additionally, in the lead up to my wedding day and on the day itself, Diane was on top of EVERY detail. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was PERFECT - just as I always dreamed it would be. From helping me iron my wedding dress while my bridesmaids and I were getting our makeup done to overseeing every vendor arrival and setup to making sure transitions from each part of the day were smooth - she did it all. No detail was too small for her, and because she's a total professional, she thought of everything! If you do not feel confident with planning, I would seek out her services for full coverage planning as she did just a stellar job with sending us vendors, connecting with the ones that we had, and helping us with all the details. Day of our expectations were exceeded! Once her team arrived, Kayla and Ivy, we didn’t have to do a thing! The day of our plans changed a lot and they really kept us on time. We had to deal with a tropical storm that popped up two days before the wedding, which was wholly unfortunate. Our venue and everything was inside, however we wanted to take our first look and party photos outside. On the day of the coordinators helped us find an additional space to take photos in and took care of everything. It was so great to have Kayla and Ivy by our side because I didn’t have to worry about anything, I didn’t have to look at the schedule, I didn’t have to worry if that was set up correctly, or this was set up correctly or if vendors had arrived and we’re on time and tell them where to go etc. etc. It felt great to just spend my entire wedding day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful day it was. Kristy was the wedding vendor I didn’t know I needed, until I met her! My husband and I hired Kristy as our day of coordinator for our wedding last weekend and she was nothing short of amazing! Once our wedding was about 4 months out and we really started to get into the weeds of planning our big day, we realized that we needed a day of coordinator as we were doing a lot of DIY touches for the wedding and needed someone there to make sure our vision could actually come to life. Upon meeting Kristy, she immediately gave us a ton of ideas as to where to thrift on a tight budget and had so much information and helpful tips to offer. She also took over the vendor communication 3 months out which was a huge lift in the final planning stage! She was very effective in her coordination with all of our vendors and point of contacts so that on the day of the wedding we were really just enjoying the day both carefree and stress-free. Kristy offers a ton of helpful documents to review after your first session with her and she creates a custom timeline for you with the day scheduled to the minute. She was so organized and really kept us on track! Kristy also did an amazing job with the breakdown of the event especially since we brought in a lot of the decor in ourselves. She was flexible in making sure that all of our items got into one of our family member’s cars so it could be picked up whenever we had time the next day. This was a huge help so that guests at the wedding weren’t carrying flowers, vases, and signs home for us and instead headed directly to the after party. She even texted my parents the morning after with the details of where all of our items were stored and shared some great photos (and a reel with us) from the day! :) Kristy was also an advocate for us as clients, which went a really long way. We were having issues communicating well with one of our vendors, but Kristy stepped in and found a way to get a hold of the vendor and ensure our ask could be met. Without that push, our day would have looked a lot different than the vision we had hoped for- she really made our day come to life. After going through the wedding process, I truly think everyone needs a day of coordinator so if you have a slight inclination that someone is needed, think no further and contact Kristy! While weddings can get expensive as we all know, the best use of our money on our wedding day was spent on Kristy. Looking back on our day, we can’t thank her enough!!

Words cannot define the worth and joy it was to have Kawania and her team be a part of my wedding day. She was a constant advocate for our needs and budget throughout the process, being realistic at every turn. What I know now is that what you get with Kawania is experience and know-how of the industry. She has planned several weddings and events before and knows how to troubleshoot mishaps that may happen on the wedding day in real time. She understands that the day of the event is a special moment for everyone involved and she knows not to bring stress to the wedding party and to allow them to live in the moment. At subsequent weddings, I have felt that my friends needed this approach with their planners on their wedding day/weekend. I, being their guest or in their bridal party felt the disorganization that their planners or self-planning brought. This was not the case with Kawania. We had glowing comments about our wedding day for even a year after and how it was not just a ceremony but a day of entertainment. She is an excellent communicator. We had regular meetings throughout the year, about once a week. I have seen my friends have wedding planners who do not get back to them for several days after they have a question about their wedding. Kawania brought my vendors to me instead of me having to look for vendors on my own and when one did not work she always had another one that could take the place. She set up meetings with me and my vendors one-on-one and reviewed all of our vendor contracts to make sure that we were getting a fair contract and that expectations for the vendor and for us were both reasonable and what we were looking for. Being a very busy working professional I appreciated that Kawania went above and beyond to make sure that I stayed on the schedule and was extremely patient when there were moments when I could not. I value how she brought my vision to life and had such great attention to small details that my day was exceptional. I have seen my guests feature elements of my wedding at their subsequent events and it speaks to how she was able to set the bar high for what a classy and unique event should be. Far beyond a wedding planner, she has become someone that I keep in contact with after the wedding. She even checked in on me when there was a major catastrophic event that took place in the area where I lived months after the wedding. There were even moments when I became uncertain or stressed and focused on the wrong thing when it came to my wedding. Kawania, quite like a mother figure helped me realize what my focus should be and to ignore all other distractions so that when I walked down the aisle, I was in full confidence of how the day was going to be and did not feel a single ounce of stress on my wedding day. I could not be more thrilled to work with Kawania again. Although I do not see myself getting remarried I would certainly work with her for any big event I needed in the future. She has such a positive energy and global about her and brings a light to every interaction even difficult ones that makes her pleasant, respectable, dependable, and all around the absolute reason why my big day went off such success. I cannot state how tirelessly she and her team worked so when I did meet them in person but felt like I was meeting friends who knew exactly what I wanted. You will not regret working with Kawania and Howerton Wooten events!

I've done a lot of event planning in my own career, but you really can't be your own planner especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding on the day itself. Tyra thought of absolutely everything I needed her to think of and more! And no matter how well a wedding is planned, there are always weird things that pop up as you get to the finish line and during the wedding itself--Tyra handled all of those so my hubby and I could enjoy the day. She had absolutely everything covered to the point that I actually felt a bit guilty about how little I did because, hello, that's my personality. As for Tyra's personality--well, she's the best. Super duper friendly, professional and like a good BFF, not afraid to give it to you straight. Highly, highly recommend. P.S.--This was a second wedding for my hubby and I, and it was a very small group. If you figure you don't need a planner because your wedding is going to be intimate, you're wrong. Trust me when I tell you that you still need someone to coordinate with the vendors, make sure the ceremony musicians aren't dead, talk you through a tuxedo crisis, and literally sprint to jump into your officiant's car, who is lost and driving around the mall looking for the venue. ;)

Tiffany was the first vendor we hired for our wedding, and from then on, she helped us assemble a dream team. We hired Tiffany for the full planning package. With her years of experience planning events and weddings of all sizes in the DMV area, she was able to introduce us to our beyond professional make up artist, cake designer, florist, and catering team. We had a lot of questions and she simply knew all the answers. Our friends and families marveled at how relaxed we were about our upcoming wedding, but there was literally nothing for us to worry about because we were working with Tiffany!
