I grew up in Texas and married a beautiful brown-eyed Jersey girl on a mountaintop in the Hudson Valley. I have the greatest job in the world. I’m lucky enough to witness tears of joy, celebrations of life and the continuation of family legacies on a weekly basis. Hello! I'm Yvo, an international wedding photographer and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. For me, the essence of great photography lies in capturing genuine emotions. We don't remember entire days or weeks—we remember the special moments that made those times meaningful. Since real moments unfold naturally and can't be staged, my approach is primarily documentary. I focus on observing and authentically capturing your wedding as it happens. Originally from Switzerland, I've lived in multiple countries, which has allowed me to become fluent in English, German, Spanish, and French.

I've spent an unrealistic amount of time in college studying both the art and business of photography, graduating with a BFA in Photography & Imaging from Art Center College of Design in California in 2008. At which point, I decided to join my friend crew out in NYC and boom! — the most adult version of my business was born. In total I’ve been shooting weddings since late 2006 and working within the wedding industry since 2003. I swear I'm younger than that makes me sound. Yikes!

At eloping is fun we take what is often one of the most time consuming and expensive parts of your life and we flip it on its head and make it easy and fun.
