Welcome. Hidden Valley was originally a tree farm that we purchased in 2017. When many older couples choose this time in life to size down, we chose to size up this beautiful 38-acre property. The 8000 sq foot house was way too expansive for our needs so we almost immediately converted two gorgeous mother-in-law suites into Airbnb units. They were immediately very busy. The Barn of Hidden Valley was born over time as we watched our family, our Airbnb guests, and our church family enjoys the property. We have always loved inviting others to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us every day.

Our barn is over 100 years old and we added on a new barn onto it. Together they can seat up to 200 people for a wedding reception. We have added beautiful bistro lighting so not a lot of additional decorating is needed. You have your choice of 4 different outdoor ceremony sites. A grain bin gazebo on a stamped cement pad with bistro lighting is available to be used as a ceremony site or the setting for cocktail hour / outdoor bar. The bridal party has the admissions barn to use for wedding prep and the room on the back of our new restroom building is where the groomsmen can get ready in.

They made time to answer all of our questions and were incredibly accommodating by allowing us to take tours and re-visit as we started planning for our wedding. One of the biggest perks was having the venue for the entire weekend, which made setting up and enjoying our day that much easier. Everyone we've spoken to after the wedding have continued to say how beautiful the venue was and how it made for the absolute perfect wedding. With all their kids growing up, they talked about them finding love and how wonderful it would be to see them married on the property where they shared so many memories. That was the day the dream began! Kevin quickly grabbed a napkin and feverishly started scribbling sketches of a large lodge that could hold all of their friends and family, celebrating the futures of their children. In true Claus fashion, they did not let this vision pass them by, and got to working on the lodge right away.

Our 12,500 square foot barn is now complete. This new building has seating for 350 guests and beautiful photo opportunities for your big day. With weddings already on the books through 2024, we’re ready to get started! The farm sits on 15 acres and features plenty of patios, a bridal suite, groom suite, loft area, bar area, ADA compliant restrooms, a kitchen, 2 acre parking lot and more!

The Barn at Stratford is owned by the Delaware County Historical Society. Our professional event staff are organized, intuitive, and experienced. We are historically an herb and flower 3rd generation family farm expanding into the world of weddings and being a private venue for you and your loved ones to join together and celebrate. We offer gorgeous open scenery, privacy, glamping opportunities and fun for an entire weekend of wedding fun or the smaller, intimate micro wedding.
