With her services, lighting can be included as well as a wonderful pink photobooth. She also has vintage photography (see below for a black and white photo from her) and videography services available. She even saved the day and had a microphone for us to use during our ceremony when we found out we did not have one. At the end of the event, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend we had known for a long time!”

Although we didn't work directly with the photographer until the day of the wedding (except for a zoom call where we got to meet her and talk about our vision), everyone on the team was super helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. I told Hannah (Event Planner for OLAS) over the phone that I thought they were some huge, conglomerate business because all of their emails and outreach seemed so put together and professional, so I was so surprised to hear that it was really just a small team of kick-a** women that are behind all of this. I wouldn't be surprised if they expanded a ton in the near future, so I am glad we got in when it was such a small and intimate team. “I was so overwhelmed when I first started looking for florists for our wedding. There are so many options, and I didn’t even know where to start until I found Poppy. They break down the process and steps, making it super easy, almost to the point that it doesn’t feel real. To start, you meet with a floral consultant where you talk through your wedding details, the vibe you’re going for, the general needs, etc. Then they walk you through a list of various wedding floral options: bouquets, table arrangements, signage florals, ceremony florals, etc., and you start to narrow down what you want. In each section, they have a grouping of photos, and you can either select something from that or ask for more options. You can also tweak what they have shown (I picked florals that had eucalyptus in them and requested everything be switched to ruscus). After that, you have a while to go back in and adjust until a deadline, but they accommodated some last-minute adds I had as well. Our consultant was Sophia, and she was super responsive and wonderful to work with. Closer to the wedding, you get assigned a local florist who does the actual designing/styling and installing, and we were lucky enough to get Ron, who matched our inspo images EXACTLY. Everything was so beautiful, and I was so in love with my bouquet. He was also incredibly nice and set everything up so quickly. If you’re looking for something to make the whole floral selection easy, simple, and beautiful (also super transparent with costs), definitely go with Poppy!!”

I love everything coffee, purple, and vintage; I almost never go somewhere without red lipstick. And you’ll probably see me somewhere in downtown Frederick at least twice a week.

“Sarah & her Sleeping Bee Designs crew were everything I could have ever asked for. I'm a very DIY person, so I thought "hmm, maybe I don't need a coordinator." Spoiler- yes you do, everyone does, don't do it yourself. I promise it's worth every penny. We first met Sarah at a wedding expo in Downtown Frederick, and immediately loved her personality. We emailed several months later, and were so relieved she was available on our date. The second you book her, she'll give you things to start thinking about. Like, things that never even crossed your mind, but duh! Organized doesn't even begin to explain SBD. Our wedding timeline was planned perfectly, down to the minute. Sarah was on top of rallying the other vendors, and even joined me for a couple calls with them, leading up to the wedding. All our vendors said the similar things- "Wow, she's on top of it." Or "Holy bananas, she's the most organized coordinator I've ever worked with." The day of the wedding, we felt so taken care of. You need a drink? Don't worry- Sarah or Christine already know, and it's probably on the way. We blinked and the decorations were all packed up and in our car. Vendor tips? Handed out. Card box? Very, very secure. Something not matching up with a different vendor contract you signed? Not on SBD's watch. As we were leaving the venue the night of our wedding, Sarah gave us the best piece of advice: "Eat your wedding cake for breakfast, open all your cards in the morning, and just take it all in." We did exactly that, and it's one of my favorite wedding moments. I don't think our wedding would have been half as successful as it was, if we hadn't hired Sleeping Bee Designs. It's been 8 months since we've been married and Sarah is still helping us with things- can you say newspaper feature? Looking back at our whole experience, I'd honestly pay double what we did.”

“When we started planning our wedding, we were on the fence about whether we needed to hire a day-of coordinator. We knew that we were having a fairly small wedding and that we weren’t going to use that many vendors, so it didn’t seem like it would be too much for us to handle day-of details like schedule management and tipping. But once we talked to Ja’el, we knew the Coordinated Collective was going to be a great investment to make sure our wedding ran smoothly and we actually got to enjoy our own party. During our first call, Ja’el took the time to get to know us and to help us think through some of the nuances that we didn’t know to ask about. We walked away with a great list of follow-ups and an understanding of what we needed to do immediately, and what we could hold off on for a bit longer. Once we signed on, Katie was assigned as our event lead. Where to even start - we can’t say enough good things about her. Katie really understood what we wanted for the day, and the worksheets and tracking tools she provided helped us focus on getting the right information, communicated day-of plans to vendors, and made sure that our wedding week was quiet so we could enjoy it with our families. She also helped us navigate vendor questions and even helped us have a successful rehearsal without giving away a fun surprise moment in the ceremony. Our wedding party all remarked on how fun she made the rehearsal. Day-of, she and Molly kept things running smoothly and gave us the space to really enjoy our celebration and our guests. We and our guests had a total blast at our wedding, and we absolutely could not have had the same event without the help of the Coordinated Collective.”

All the food was served hot, and on the bamboo plates I requested. We even had plenty of leftovers to eat with friends for several days after the event. All the food was wonderful, but we especially highly recommend the beef empanadas and pollo asado entree. Don't hesitate to book Upohar for your event; they were a foodie's dream!”
