We hired Katelynn and her team for wedding coordination - I was so hesitant with hiring for coordination, Daisy Sun, actually was the last vendor we hired and now looking back, I have no idea where we'd be without them!! Katelynn has such a calming presence. She is always happy and approaches each task with a smile. I still don't know if/what went wrong, because she took care of everything. She provides planning suggestions along the way based on her experience, but encourages and respects the final decision to be yours. One of my absolute favorite things from my wedding day was once I told Katelynn I needed a drink, my hand was never empty!! Ultimately, if you're ever on the fence with hiring Daisy Sun, just do it, you will not regret it. :)

When I was told I needed to hire a planner, I laughed. Honestly. "Oh please, I've been planning this my whole life, I've got this."-Note, I did not HAVE anything. I reached out to Chelsea because her website and social media drew me in HARD. When I say she is the best cheerleader, I mean it. She was the first to respond with an all-caps "EPIC" as a reaction to my dress. She never once judged me or got short with me as I became more and more of a stress-case. She was right there with answers to every single ridiculous question I had and she genuinely wanted my husband (still new and weird to say) and I to have the best day of our lives. Not only did she take care of the two of us, she also took care to make sure our mothers were comfortable, our guests were happy, and our final dance was unforgettable. I know with absolute certainty I would not have been able to give our loved ones the day we did without Chelsea. If you are trying to decide on a planner-CHOOSE HER. Hands down. Choose her because she was a bride herself. Choose her because she listens, cares, and truly LOVES what she does-you can see it in the results. I have worked in event planning for a few years now. For weddings in particular, I have always worked on the vendor management side of things. When my vendors constantly asked why I wasn't a coordinator myself, I realized that I hadn't even considered it.

To say that B is a miracle worker and a blessing is an understatement. A little background: Like many brides, I thought I could do this all on my own. However, 3 months until our wedding, I finally came to understand that I need help, and I am so lucky to have found B (or more like so lucky she never gave up in reaching out to me). My one regret is that I did not go to her sooner. If you want a wedding planner who is hard working, zero-nonsense, extremely organized, and will make you feel like their #1, B is for you. I told her when getting started that I need someone who will hand my hand as if I am a 12 yo during this whole process, and she did it. She relieved so much of my stress, was an amazing soundboard during this whole process, was my #1 advocate. She knew when to give me the "I gotchu" to the "I am going to be real with you..." I did not think I would be able to enjoy my wedding as the bride, but B made it a priority that my husband and I, as well as our entire family and all of our guests, enjoy this special day. I am so happy to say, that she did it. Everyone, including myself, had an amazing, smooth wedding day, and it was all thanks to her. I cannot vouch for B enough. Yes, she really is the best thing ever. Yes, she is really that affordable (despite all of us telling her she is under-charging). And yes, I still wish I could hire her as my life coach. Ladies (and gents): If you are looking for a wedding planner, I cannot emphasize my absolute adoration and love for this woman. She pulled off miracle in my eyes.

I’m a practical, organized, creative, resourceful, and resilient, “jeans and t-shirt” type chick. Well, the San Diego part of me is anyway. The LA in me is a driven, problem-solving, A-type, “take no guff” lady boss, that gets the job done on time, and within a realistic budget.

At first, I was dubious about the money "day-of" coordinators were charging for the amount of services they actually provide. But let me tell you, I was wrong, in particular with Stephanie Wooding of Best Day Ever Weddings & Events. HIRE THIS WOMAN NOW!!!! She is worth every penny!!!!!!! After interviewing numerous wedding coordinating companies, I was really frustrated because it did not seem like they offered much of their time and advice and services leading up to the wedding day, unless you booked the full wedding coordinator package. I like DIY-ing things and am a decent planner in general, so I didn't think I needed a full wedding coordinator. Additionally, there was no way I could afford a full wedding coordinator package. But then my venue recommended Stephanie, owner of Best day Ever Weddings and she and I immediately clicked during our online meet and greet. She treats you like a real human, not another paycheck, which was so refreshing. She is so immensely kind and generous with her time and she is a genius! She went waaay above and beyond just putting my decorations together. She helped us find other vendors for the wedding, such as our DJ, stationary designer, and linen rentals. She contacted other vendors to get quotes for me - which if you're planning a wedding, you know how much time that takes! She let me ship Amazon decorations to her house to hold on to them until the wedding because I live out of town! She went to visit my venue multiple times without me to see if my decor would work and offered suggestions on how to fix different things. She let me vent about family and bridesmaid drama leading up to the wedding. And an amazing and practical thing about her business is she has a ton of decorations (votive candle holders, seating chart signs, easels, lanterns, cake stands, etc.) that you can use FOR FREE if you hire her! That saved us a ton of money! I don't know her full background, but it seems like she has lived many lives doing many incredible things. I know she has a background in theatre/production, so she understood how to work with the DJ and videographer and venue about setting up the AV system. She also understands how a wedding is a massive production like a play, how to make the different actors come together in an aesthetic manner, and how to manage the chaos. She also has a background in hotel management, so she had many connections in the San Diego area when we were looking at hotel room blocks for guests and hotel suites to stay at for our wedding party. We also had to fire our original videographer 2 weeks before the wedding - I asked her if she could handle it for me because I was too stressed and don't like confrontation. She handled it in a professional manner, no questions asked. This is a woman you want in your corner. She became a friend through the whole stressful wedding process, meeting with us monthly and then weekly and then daily leading up to the wedding. Our meetings were like therapy for me. And then day-of the wedding, I was floored by how happy I was and how smoothly the day went. She and her team did a fantastic job setting up the ceremony with the decorations I made and moved all those decorations downstairs for the reception and it looked beautiful! With her orchestrating everything between the caterer, DJ, MC, decorations, etc., I knew I could relax and spend time with my husband and guests. She is a true saint and the best choice we made for our wedding!

When I first reached out to the Embrace U team, I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the funds on a day of coordinator. After a couple of conversations with Erin, I was convinced the Embrace U team was worth every penny. The team did not disappoint, my husband and I will be forever grateful. Erin's attention to detail and years of experience shined. She ensured she completely understood our vision and what was most important to us. Four weeks prior to our wedding date, Erin took over vendor communication and was our point of contact. This was such a stress relief. Erin also created a wedding day timeline, which is one of the reasons why we had such a successful wedding. All the vendors and our bridal party knew our plan and timeline the week before our wedding. I did make minor changes last minute but Erin helped communicate those to the vendors. Kaity did a great job, especially considering all the uncertainty of bad weather (my ceremony was outdoors) we had to all deal with. She always had an upbeat and positive attitude the whole time, which I know can be very difficult to do around my family. She definitely would just roll with all the punches to keep us on track. I was anxious the entire day, but Kaity reassured me that she had everything under control and I knew I could trust her. She even went out of her way to get me and my husband little care packages on the day of, with inspiring notes. The only hiccups I actually noticed was with announcements and speeches, because the volume and echo was not great, so people didn't know when things were actually happening, so I wish we could've told the DJ sooner to fix the issue. We had also wanted to have our dinners boxed up, because my husband and I were both too anxious and excited to really eat, so our food ended up being thrown away, plus we didn't receive the top tier of our wedding cake to save for the tradition thing (but my guess is because they served it all to the guests). Unfortunately, at the end of the night, we were super rushed to get everything out of the building, because of the time and the pouring rain- I was running around barefoot in my dress while my husband was passed out in the car, and I was one of the few trying to get everything packed and cleaned up. However, Kaity and her husband really helped us out by collecting all the left items and holding onto them for us until the next day. She kept in contact, since at least a month beforehand, to make sure we had everything in order and sent her all the vendor contacts , so she could be included with all the day-of plans. She really did go above and beyond to make sure I had the best day possible, and I really appreciated that from her. I would definitely hire her again.

I started in the wedding industry when I found bridal world in 2018. Building a career in bridal brought me back to Los Angeles from Seattle, back to family and into a world where I could immerse myself in all things bridal and weddings. Desiree met with us mid-planning process to do a walk-through of the venue and get an idea of what we had planned for our day. She gave tons of helpful tips and truly made sure that she understood our vision. The month of the wedding she coordinated between all the vendors to make sure that everything was covered. Thank goodness! Turns out we forgot to order bathrooms since we were at a house, even though we didn't want people going into the home. She saved the day and made sure that we got an extra generator from the rental company to supply the power. On the day of the wedding she arrived ahead of the first vendor and made sure that everything was perfect. And if it wasn't, we never knew! All of our family and friends got to enjoy our wedding with us, without having to worry about how everything was going, all thanks to Serenity Weddings. I also worked with Desiree for my bridal styling, choosing the Final Touches package. Finding my dress was easy, but the endless choices for everything else was daunting. She helped me choose the perfect hairstyle and makeup combo for my enchanted look, and the accessories she chose were just the right touch.

It goes without saying that when it comes to event planning, Andrina gets it! She's insanely creative and at the same time refreshingly collaborative. When I contacted her about organizing a romantic marriage proposal, she made it a priority to understand my vision and then build off of it. Given that I wanted to propose in Big Sur but couldn't come up from LA without getting caught, Andrina scouted several locations, took photos and videos, and kept me updated on all our options as they developed. She was transparent in all our communications and was always conscious of our budget when giving suggestions. The execution of this proposal was flawless and exactly what I imagined. There was a beautiful picnic arrangement waiting for us as at a secluded, picturesque spot where photographers were inconspicuously pretending to be tourists until I popped the question. After an intimate photoshoot we proceeded to a surprise dinner with the rest of the family at a local restaurant, where the table had been pre-arranged with flowers and custom menus. We can't say enough great things about Rachel. Our only regret was not finding her sooner in the process. She is so responsive, detail-oriented, organized, made fantastic recommendations for additional vendors and offered us so much support along the way with the details. She has gorgeous taste and really helped with bringing together the vision we were going for. She is by far the best vendor! I'm thinking someday we'll have a vow renewal just to work with her again!
